Hotel & room were fine, if you stay dont plan on using gym, i checked in by 6pm & it was fully booked with classes for locals until at least 8.30pm i was told. So no chance for me to use it which was a disappointment.

The restaurant was unprepared for the number of people staying at the hotel. The rooms were clean and well presented. The pool is tiny and shallow and used by healthclub members as well barely leaving room for the children to play.

We chose this hotel because it’s pet-friendly, as we were traveling with our dog, and it delivered exactly what we needed—clean, convenient, and comfortable. Bed and breakfast was great bathroom could do with a deep clean as lots of mould around shower and could not use toilets near reception as they are disgusting and smell really bad. Had food 1 night and it was not good dried out and seemed microwaved

Room looked satisfactory- until I pulled back the duvet to get into bed. I was horrified to see a badly stained , filthy mattress protector - no double sheet .It was disgusting - stains ( including blood) all over it . I phoned Reception and Jake was marvellous & sent two ladies to our room to sort it out - they could not believe how bad it was & completely changed the bed . Jake handled it very well and was very apologetic. All of the staff were lovely- breakfast staff were very friendly even though they were rushed off their feet . We have stayed at this hotel before as our relatives live nearby so we were disappointed this time.Parking was great .

We stopped here to break a journey northwards to the Lake District where we visited relatives. Our experience of the hotel was excellent. We would definitely recommend. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff were courteous and helpful.

Our room was great but some rice on the floor that had not been vacuumed up. Our daughter’s room had a bad smell. Jake on reception dealt with it extremely well and arranged for another room immediately, which was perfect. The breakfast and facilities were amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a clean hotel. We would definitely stay again.

Really small rooms with a tiny bathroom. The shower worked well though. The biggest issue was the fact that the A/C although on, simply didn't work. The room was unbearable. Food was OK and the staff very pleasant. We only use this hotel due to its proximity to Haydock racecourse.

Nice hotel, clean and tidy, just a bit dated in places. Excellent staff, particularly Dylan and Jake! Good breakfast Sound-proofing could be better, but that was more the fault of inconsiderate guests than the hotel. Overall very good

We booked two rooms for 2 nights all paid in full through Expedia only to be told when we arrived the hotel was full and we could not stay, we told them there must be some mistake as we had our booking reference. No we had to find another hotel ourselves. Absolutely disgusting

Excellent stay with great staff. Good location. Had a problem with the shower not able to control the temperature of the water too hot.. Spoke with louise on reception extremely helpful offered refund via hotels.com. Rang hotels.com and spoke with a lovely lady Kavita who is sorting this with the hotel. We will be back. Excellent service.

3rd time staying. Was busy. Breakfast was carnage. Hotel a little tired now. Staff friendly enough but not that professional. Asked reception to book 2 taxis. Given list of numbers. Maybe pedantic but want to feel more special when spending over £500 on 3 rooms.

pretty decent Holiday Inn, but surprised that the was no water in the room (pretty standard nowadays even in a B&B) and Shower room only had towels for one, it was a double room. We had a late lunch, the food was fine but the service was very slow. Breakfast was busy, self service but selection was fine and the food good.

Really friendly and pleasant local staff. Very good location as a convenient stop over, just off the M6 in north west for those travelling and need a break without the hassle of driving into a city centre. Bar open and restaurant serving food until 2130 which was handy after long drive north.

Really friendly and pleasant local staff. Very good location as a convenient stop over, just off the M6 in north west for those travelling and need a break without the hassle of driving into a city centre. Bar open and restaurant serving food until 2130 which was handy after long drive north.

Hotel was perfectly OK, nothing more. Hotel is a little tired, especially from it's old architecture. Reception staff good and friendly. Restaurant is soulless and cold. Took ages to get served, ages for my starter to arrive (first order was cancelled) and then ages for my main. 90 minutes from bum on seat to main course. Gave up on ordering a dessert. Breakfast was perfectly OK, little more than that.

Bed and breakfast was great bathroom could do with a deep clean as lots of mould around shower and could not use toilets near reception as they are disgusting and smell really bad. Had food 1 night and it was not good dried out and seemed microwaved

Stayed here many times however booked in got to room key card didn't work. Went for meal ordered starter and main. They missed starter off. Got main. (Lasagne) It was ted hot, over cooked I think, rubbery, bland. Last time I stayed remember breakfast was poor as well. Disappointing

Very clean and the staff are very friendly. Was not happy with the evening meal. Caesar salad was all lettuce and a tiny bit of cheese and the Club sandwich I had was not very nice, as a thick chicken fillet made it very awkward to eat. The chips were very greasy. I didn't want to complain to the staff, because I didn't want to ruin the occasion. The waitress was very friendly, though, and always asked if everything was ok.

We had a wonderful stay at Haydock Holiday Inn. Plenty of parking spaces, quiet place, staff service topnotch, place was clean, breakfast and restaurant food were delicious. Five stars.

pretty decent Holiday Inn, but surprised that the was no water in the room (pretty standard nowadays even in a B&B) and Shower room only had towels for one, it was a double room. We had a late lunch, the food was fine but the service was very slow. Breakfast was busy, self service but selection was fine and the food good.

Amazing staff, couldn't do enough for you. Facilities were really good. Pool area was great. Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.

What a fantastic location for a hotel. Once off the main road the atmosphere of the grounds and parking area are calm, tranquil and very pleasant. A wonderful place to stop. Walking into the hotel is like walking into a five star premises. A lovely warm welcome from the staff which continued through out our stay. Our room was excellent, the facilities were excellent (the swimming pool was closed :-(). The Bar and Restaurant were very inviting, professional, the drinks were well kept and the wine selection was brilliant. The pint of Boddingtons was like vinegar but the bar member of staff changed it immediately. The food in the restaurant was exception quality and good size portions. A very welcome break on our journey of 600 miles from Scotland. We would have stayed here again but within five days of our stay the price of our room had doubled due to school holidays starting. Otherwise 10/10 to Holiday Inn and THANK YOU to all the professional, friendly and courteous staff for a wonderful stay
