DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Savannah Airport

Hotel needs maintenance, pool was small and water had a film on it, regular room cleaning must be requested. Baseboards coming off walls, carpeting is dirty, microwave didn’t work. Room was not as advertised, thought I booked a suite with a kitchenette and had a regular room with a broken microwave.

Breakfast good. Room very musty. Mattress stained. Sheets clean bed comfortable. Big bug in bathroom. Worst part for me was fact that I asked 2 people if the shuttle to airport would be on time to get us to airport. Both assured us yes. Well nothing came and they said oh I forgot driver off. We’ll see what we can do!! Bad. Called an Uber and made it just in time. Never again this place !

Excellent check in. Room was spacious and clean. The only problem we had was when we pulled the top covers back on the beds both beds had some sort of crumbs on them. We would have asked for clean sheets but it was already 11:30pm and we had to check out at 3:45am. I slept on top covers and my daughter chose the couch. The younger ones wanted to swim but chose not to because the water was very cloudy. For the short time we stayed it wasn't horrible but probably would choose a different place next time.

Professional staff. The shuttle drivers were helpful and on time. The outside area was untidy with much litter.

This property had good reviews and we picked it because DoubleTree has a great reputation. This property is in poor condition. Rooms are very outdated. Bedding was clean but pullout bed mattress was dirty and their bed in a bag sheets seem rarely used so they had a very bad smell. It was nice to do the self check in and check out through the app since we got in at an odd time but we did not feel safe because staff is not always at the front desk and anyone can walk in the elevators and go to any floor without any security feature. The pool was green and gross. We used the laundry room on the first floor and the floor smelled of urine. The only thing good about this place was the staff who went above and beyond. I would not stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay 10/10 rooms were very clean and the staff was very welcoming. Outstanding service our suite was nice and big. When I say no complaints at all. Now if you're going for an indoor pool in the Winter it's more so indoor/outdoor because they have screens from the Patio you can go to. So the pool room was very cold but the water was hot. The kids stayed in not long we were scared they’d get sick.

Not one to write reviews but I’ve been notified 3 times asking for a review so here it is— My room had to be swapped because the first room’s toilet was covered in dried urine. The seat was up and the inside of the bowl had black streaks running down the bowl from old water sitting in it without being cleaned. While calling the front desk, I also noticed the side of the bed had stained sheets that were not cleaned. Staff did not seem to care much, no apology but they did promptly change the room. The second room had belongings of a previous guest on the chair at the desk. Air vent was caked with BLACK MOLD which also crept onto the curtains above it. All the bottles in the bathroom were empty. Sink faucet was so high & water pressure was so strong that every time you turn the water on, water splashes EVERYWHERE & soaks all of your things on the counter. Strange man was in the parking lot lingering around cars asking very suspicious questions to us making us feel very unsafe. But the cookie was good. Lobby was nice.

Good location, and check in was super easy and fast. Everything looked clean and well maintained

The property has not been maintained. It is time for a serious remodel. We also had to clean the filters in the air conditioner bc they were clogged and making us cough. Go look at Room 307 and the wear and tear is obvious. Didnt think it was worth the price I paid. Smh

Would not stay here again. Dirty room, saw 2 cockroaches, smelled of BO, stains on carpet… just a terrible hotel.

Cockroaches crawling on the table...I feel uncomfortable because I'm afraid I'll see cockroaches in my things.

Clean room, friendly staff, good food

As i was getting out the shower i sat on the sofa. There was a roach on the sofa and it crawled on my arm.

The property is super convenient to the airport. The staff was very helpful and kind. My room was clean but just dated. The hotel could use a makeover. Shocking because all of the Doubletree’s that I have stayed at are very stylish.

When I entered the hotel, the lobby looked very nice and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. When I entered my room I was surprised how run down the room was. Wallpaper hanging off the wall, carpet coming up in the corners and in the middle of the hallway. I used the bathroom shorty after and the toilet would not flush. I adjusted the float in the toilet and got it to flush. The air conditioning unit in the living room was leaking a brownish liquid and the unit in the on suite was vibrating loudly making it difficult to sleep. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable

The air conditioner would not go below 74 degrees and the curtain in room 339 was broken

Bathroom looked and felt dirty, one of the beds had some sort of stain, luckily we had another bed to use. The beds claim to be a queen, but there is not way that was a queen, at best a double. However, the biggest problem was the air condition. The halls walking to the room had us sweating and once in the room, the thermostat showed 75 degrees!! We cut on the AC and left for a few hours, came back the AC turned off and back to 75 on the thermosdat. I called the front desk and they said it is "motion sensored" and will turn on when there is movement in the room. Every 30 minutes we were up and down cutting the air back on again. The termosdat wouldnt even go below 66 to cool the room quickly. Of course there is no movement while we are sleeping so the AC was cut off all night and we kept having to get up and turn it on. Absolutley ridiculous! If you listen to any review, listen to this one and DO NOT stay here!!

Bathroom was the biggest issue. Not enough lighting in the bathroom! The bathtub was very slippery. Both my wife and I almost slipped inside the tub (she warned me after her shower, but it didn’t help). Prices for snack foods very expensive. $4 for a 16 oz. Coke, $9 for a pint of ice cream.

The room was very spacious and clean. We had plenty of room. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The only downsides was that our air conditioner was very loud, abnormally loud to where we could not sleep. Also the walls are a little thin.

Older Dtree but clean. So so water pressure in the shower. USB and power outlet for desk did not work.

Front desk staff went above and beyond!

Tonya is an absolutely wonderful, sweet, kind person. She made our stay very comfortable and welcome. We love you Tonya and are blessed to have met you.

No one was at the desk for a while to check me in.

Johnny at the front desk was really amazing. He made my family trip amazing. He went above and beyond for us. I am truly greatful.

Front desk staff were unhelpful. Asked for daily room service for clean towels, empty trash etc.. never received this service. Requested an extra pillow, 3 times over 2 days never received pillow. Bathtub was to high and unsafe . Handrail near toilet and not with in reach. Screws falling off door safety lock. Not the most pleasant of stays.

I booked my hotel “Junior King suite w/ sofa bed” is how it read, 3 weeks ago. I received confirmation of my hotel Friday at 3:44pm, confirming that I would be arriving that day (friday the 8th) and that they are looking forward to seeing me. Upon arrival, we were notified that our room had been canceled due to being sold out. A couple behind us said “oh no, we just booked our room at 12pm, is our room sold out” she said “no your room is not sold, you have your room”. After being appalled about hearing how our room booked 3 weeks ago was sold out but somebody else had just booked today at 12pm and they have there room, I asked why they would not call, text or leave a voicemail. Her response was “I don’t know that’s not my shift”. We asked to speak with the manager and she explained there was not one there. She then repeated to tell me that our room wasn’t a 2 bedroom anyways, I repeated to show her my reservation and she explained that, that’s not what I have booked in there system, although showing her my confirmation email. She then told us “well we and everybody else around here are sold out”. I asked her what her plan was and she said there was nothing she could do, they didn’t clean enough rooms. I asked her if I could go clean the room myself, she said it doesn’t work that way. After sitting in the lobby for another 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do, she came up and said I will cancel somebody else’s room to get yall booked. & I am out of room. DISPLEASED!

The front desk staff really unfriendly and aggressive ..for the money I paid no red carpet ..just here is the key and see u

The parking was free. That’s a plus. They front desk employees could have been nicer. They should not be wearing sleeping scarfs when they come from the back. They also didn’t want to print me a reciept. The rooms are out dated. You can hear the people talking in the next room an others walking in you head. This was not a great experience. I was not offered the warm cookies. I give this hotel a 3 star. I won’t be back.

Checking in was lovely. Great experience with the nice lady at the front desk. We arrived at 7:30 and decided to order food from the bar/restaurant. Walked over to the tables. There were 7 of us. I grabbed a chair from another table to accommodate four kids. The lady working at the bar immediately came over and questioned if I was moving tables. I responded nicely by saying that I was just adding a chair and not moving any tables. We went to the bar to order food. She asked if we were ordering food and sighed loudly and obviously in disgust when we answered, “yes”. A man sitting at the bar told us that she was the only one working the bar and the kitchen, which was understandably very upsetting and stressful for her; however, her attitude was unacceptable. The food was actually very good for being inside a hotel. But we had to wait more than 40 minutes for a second drink. Weren’t given pens with our check. Had to walk to the front desk to get them after waiting so long. The most upsetting thing was acting so inconvenienced when ordering food after 7:30 (being told several times the kitchen closes at 8) and then observing two customers ordering food long after 8 and being served with nothing but a smile from her. Also watched another couple inquire about food at 7:59 and being told that the kitchen was closed at 8. Being told the kitchen is closed at 8 is not the issue. The issue is observing two customers ordering food in between 8:30 and 9:00 and being served with a smile.

We were able to check in right away after a long drive which was very nice. The staff was welcoming and friendly.

The Doubletree is very convenient for early morning flights. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable. We do find the the bar is lacking in they’re selection of wine.

Check in was seamless. Unfortunately the bar was out of food and we had to go out to eat.

The breakfast exceeded my expectations and bartender Mindy was very nice.

Breakfast was not offered. There was sign that said no breakfast offered today.

It said there was continental breakfast but there actually wasn’t. That is one of the reasons why we originally chose that hotel was for free breakfast.

The Double Tree is close to the airport and the staff members are all so friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel is very well run, the in-house restaurant is wonderful, and the rooms are terrific.

We arrived late on the evening of check-in. Wasn’t i Offered cookies nor given our breakfast tickets, had prepaid for breakfast. Waitress never explained how much we could have, it was a limit of $20 per person. A lot of items were not available, even though they were on the menu. Tip was not included. So extra expenses. In the room, one bed was missing a bed skirt, the other beds bed skirt was heavily stained on top. The ice bucket was dirty. We wore our socks or shoes in the room as we weren’t sure if the carpet had been cleaned. Stayed 2 nights and my bill was $849. Booked through Travelocity which seemed like a deal but by the time the breakfast, taxes etc were added on, we could’ve stayed in a higher end hotel. Staff was generally friendly and attentive. Later check out time was appreciated.

Overall, it was so clean and they are kind for us. But the food for breakfast is not fresh.
