The Swan Hotel

We loved out 1 night stay, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had breakfast in our room because we had a call to do and it was delicious. We will definitely be back.

A superb stay at this wonderful hotel with excellent accommodation in a garden room, delicious food and very friendly staff. We will definitely return.

We treated ourselves to a weekend at The Swan after several day trips to Southwold from the Midlands over the years. Following a very welcoming check-in at reception we stayed in a nicely appointed Garden Room set around a small garden, each with outside space and a bistro table and chairs - a welcome addition in the late June heatwave. The décor and fixtures were traditional but with a modern twist. Perhaps slight signs of wear and tear (stained fabric headboard and water-blown wooden sills in the bathroom) which I'm sure will be addressed. Breakfast was cooked to order with a typical menu and very nice but we found the diner menu offered a limited range. The car park seemed large enough to cope with demand but be warned the seagulls rule the roost and a clean car will not remain clean for long! Overall a fabulous break, attentive staff in a lovely location.

Great location very friendly staff and helpful. Lots of tours to do and food was good value and excellent. Room was clean and spacious especially the bathroom. Highly recommend hotel and food will definitely return.
