Days Inn by Wyndham Fremont

I would never stay here again. The hotel is old and very rundown. The air conditioning did work and the hotel was fairly quiet. But there is no elevator (and this is a two-story property), the exhaust fan did not work, there was extensive water damage to the ceiling tiles in the bathroom, there were holes in the wall (and an area near the toilet that needed extensive drywall repair), lamp shades were cracked and broken, the towels themselves were frayed and had holes in them, and the safe did not work. I took pictures of all of these. They must have well water, because the water has an unpleasant “rusty” smell and taste that can be typical of well water. They have a pool and a hot tub, but the hot tub was out of order. On the positive side, the staff was pleasant, the bed was comfortable, and the room was sufficiently dark when the curtains were closed. But I would never stay here again under any circumstances.

This property has fallen a long way in recent years. Current management does not provide housekeeping services unless requested in advance. Stayed six nights, only got housekeeping service once and had to ask for that the day before. They don't empty the trash or replenish the in room coffee service. The indoor pool is a nice benefit, but nobody cleans out there or replenishes the pool towels. Interior doors are cracked and delaminating. Only got to try the supposed free hot breakfast twice. The waffle makers don't work properly and won't cook completely. Nobody checks on breakfast room cleanliness or replenishes the items. Waffle batter all over the counter each time, and if you don't get there as soon as it opens, you might not have anything to choose from. Security is poor. External doors all have the locks disabled so anyone can enter. The housekeeping crew, when they do clean, leave all the room doors propped open whether or not they are occupied, so anyone could walk in and walk off with your belongings. I only requested housekeeping the one time, because I came back to an uncleaned room with the door propped open and my sporting equipment totally unattended. Also, when you arrive, there is a sign that says you have to pay a daily security fee to use the in room safe to store valuables. I'm not sure I'll ever stay here again. It used to be nice, but now just seems seedy and unsafe.

Light didnt work and safe didnt work apon arrival, switched us rooms and the refridgerator didnt work, bath flooded, dirty floors and dusty furnature, beds are hard and noisey, showere had alot of soap scum, safe still didnt work, breakfast was so bad, staff was useless, gym was closed, and no blow dryer or exhaust fan in bathroom.

The pool and Hot Tub were not working. Would have loved to get wet.

The pool they advertise has been broken forever according to the manager who offered me my money back but after checking out early they haven’t followed through nor returned my calls which have been every day! Horrible run down place advertising things that haven’t been in use nor repaired for a very long time according to the front desk manager

Was clean and comfortable. I booked this place as website site listed indoor pool and hot tub. Yea no was out of service. Family stayed it’s been out for a long time. Staff was friendly.

They let me do early check in and all staff was very pleasant. Other than that, place sucked. A/C in room barely worked. Hot tub doesn't work. Pool had green water. Bits of garbage strewn around the pool area. No more bar. No more pool table. Breakfas is a waffle maker or cereal. Better than nothing. Place used to be better.

The price was right, the hotel was obviously being renovated, our room had one king bed that was off center to the television which was not getting any cable service so no television channels, I thought the desk person might have mentioned this before I paid but he didn’t. It was obvious that the room used to have 2 beds and they converted it to one king. The vending machines were all sold out, no WiFi either though it was advertised. If it wasn’t for the fact that my wife and I were exhausted I would have asked for a refund. If you just want a nights sleep without TV,WiFi, or any vending machines this is your choice. The rate was reasonable.

The property was dirty. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and along a corner of the shower, as well as many stains in the tub.

Place was very dirty! Staff was rude. Rooms had an odor. Breakfast was either a waffle or cereal, that’s it. The pool and spa was under construction. Shower was dirty and had mold in the drain. I will NEVER stay there again and don’t recommend to anyone!

The cable was not working. The hotel itself wasn’t very clean, but the room was okay. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

Floor was sticky, hair all over the shower walls and tub, bed was very sketchy and noisy, small bits of trash all through out the room and hotel. Cockroaches were seen in my room

The room smelt like mildew. The bathroom was dirty. The TV didn't work and when I called the front desk to ask he said oh yeah the TVs aren't working right now. A little over $100 for a night is a little much for what we got.

The linens obviously weren't replaced after the last guests - there was hair in the bed. There was long hair stuck to the wall of the shower, and it looked like the towel had been used as well - there was a spot of blood on it.

The place was not clean, the entrance super dirty with a lot stuff, probably they’re doing renovations I don’t know, towels look old and dirty, blankets were dusty.

This was literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I’m shocked it hasn’t been shut down. The water is hard (okay, I can live with that), but they don’t even attempt to clean the rust. The entire hotel has a foul odor. The tub had a rubber mat on the bottom that was not for anti-slip, but obviously to cover the rotten/broken tub beneath. There was trim (entire pieces) missing from the vanity, holes in the wall in the sleeping area, entrance, and bathroom. The towels were yellow (originally white). The standing lamp was missing its knob and had to be plugged in and unplugged to operate (with an ancient plug that can’t even pass code). Didn’t even have the stomach to walk down to the swimming pool or stay for breakfast. I have never left a hotel review—I only leave reviews if I have a great experience somewhere. But this hotel was horrid. The only positive was the lady at the front desk was friendly. I didn’t have the heart to complain to her because it was so beyond anything she could personally address. I walked outside and there were a bunch of rooms with the curtains open along the sidewalk with lights on—so I can confirm we didn’t just get a bad room. This place looks like it sat vacant for 20 years and they just reopened without making any improvements. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. I will be sharing my experience with the County Health Department and Building Inspection Department as well. Seriously…yikes!

It appears they may be undergoing renovations, as there were items and equipment scattered throughout the property. In its current state, the hotel would benefit from temporarily closing to properly complete renovations and organize the space. There were several concerns that made the stay uncomfortable. Some staff members appeared to be living on-site, and children who seemed to be related to the staff were frequently in the lobby, treating it more like a living room. We noticed laundry being done in common areas via security cameras, with staff folding linens alongside a dog in the laundry room. The cleanliness was a major issue. The pool had visible stains on the walls, trash, and personal items left behind. The hot tub was out of order, which is understandable, but this should have been communicated in advance and more clearly marked off. We were informed we’d be charged for any stains on the bedding due to it being new — understandable, but it also raised concerns about whether linens are regularly cleaned. Our room had stained walls, dirty floors, and a bathroom that was not properly sanitized. The tap water also had a strong fishy odor. Overall, while the staff seemed friendly, the hotel does not currently meet basic cleanliness and hospitality standards. I would not recommend staying here until significant improvements

We aren’t bouji but this was disgusting. Hair on the pillows, dumped ashtray between the beds, one washcloth instead of towels with black marks and BEDBUGS! 20 mins in to laying down a bedbug crawled across my chest. I should have left but stayed awake all night to come down to no breakfast. Nothing was out when they said. Probably better I didn’t eat it. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Could be the worst Days Inn I have ever visited. Reserved two double beds, was given 1 queen. Didn't think it was a big deal until I saw the room. Large space where 2nd bed should have been. Queen bed with 2 paper thin pillows. Recently painted or at least the AC controls and walls were. No chairs except a rolling desk chair. Yellow thread bare towels and wash cloths. Bathtub was dirty. No decorations or pictures except old tv wall mount bracket. On walk around property, inside & out, have never seen a hotel this dirty. Paint all over sidewalks and parking lot. Common areas were very dirty. Complimentary breakfast was almost non existent. Don't want to sound like that guy because I see they are trying to renovate but this property was truly not worth of higher end Days Inn pricing.

Truly unfit for human habitation. There were no headboards on the beds, just holes in the walls where a headboard should’ve been mounted. There was only one working light in the room and that flickered like a haunted house. There were two by fours showing in the bathroom because the bathroom counter have been fitted so poorly there were huge gaps where you could see the wood and the adhesive. there were no outlets for charging devices. They don’t use air conditioning in the lobby and it was boiling hot. The family who runs this location, obviously lives in the hotel and their children run around screaming and carrying on, and the family was fighting in front of us at the front desk. The pool and spa don’t work. We checked out after only one night because the hotel is so unsanitary and so unsafe that it looks like a hobo encampment. The woman at the front desk could not have cared less that we were leaving early and when I told her it was because the room was so unacceptably dirty, outdated and unsafe she just looked at me. The only amenities they have in the building are two dumpy refrigerators in the lobby with sodas in them. They are locked with huge padlocks and you have to ask to get a soda and you have to pay cash. Under no circumstances, book a room here.

I liked the free parking, wifi, and breakfast. The location was very convenient. I didn't like that it looked like it needed a good deep clean. The bathroom was in need of attention-- either it had suffered from water damage in the tub area or something. The water flow didn't easily change from faucet to shower head. I struggled repeatedly and then just accepted that half of the water flow would come out the faucet and half would come out the shower head. There was a piece of furniture in our room which was broken. Perhaps it was a shelf or a former case for a mini fridge. I'm not sure, but there was a shelf or something broken and sitting vertically inside the frame of this piece of furniture. We didn't use the microwave, coffee pot, safe, or anything else to know if they worked or not. The towels were very worn and a bit dingy. It would also benefit this facility to invest in new mattresses as ours bowed in the middle and was very squeaky. Overall, the place was okay for one night. However, it seems very worn out, so if you're looking for a new sparkling clean place, you might want to pass on this. The staff was friendly and professional. The free breakfast was decent and that area was clean and well stocked. Half of our family ate at 6am and the other half ate at 8am. As to be expected the 8am breakfast was packed with guests. Parking was free and easy to find a parking spot.

First of all, at first appearance the building doesn't even look like its open. The grass was a foot tall and there were only a few cars in the lot when I pulled in. The overall appearance of the outside of the building was that of neglect and not a concern of being welcoming. I went right to my room after checking in. It was very warm and humid in the room, so I attempted to turn on the AC. I could not get it to turn on, so I went back to the front desk. The attendant behind the desk said I thought I turned that on, he walked over to a switch that was out of my site and flipped a switch. Sorry about that was all he said. I go back to my room, and it was running, but not very well. I thought I would give it some time I was in town for my Marine Corps reunion to spend time with guys I served with years ago. I was in town for two nights. I left to meet up with the guys that first night figuring it would be nice and cool when I returned for the night. It was a little bit cooler but not by much, I had it turned on high and at the lowest setting possible. I was to tired, so I just took a cold shower and went to bed. the next day I was up early to meet the Marines for breakfast. Found out on day two the refrigerator didn't work either, so I just loaded up a cooler with ice and put my drinks in that. Summary, day two the AC never improved on a 100-degree weekend heat wave. That owner should be embarrassed to present that higher priced hotel the way it is. NOT GOOD!

The motel was very noisy. There were parties in different rooms every night I was there. There was a loudly barking dog in the room next to me. One night there was some sort of police situation in the hall outside my room. The elevator was not in service. I would NEVER recommend this dump to anyone.

Nice and quiet spot, easy to find. Looks like remodeling the building, the water had a horrible smell, WIFI did not work, could not use plug outlets, asked for another set of towels and never received them, will not stay there again. Breakfast was a joke, very disappointed

Ongoing construction makes this an awkward location to stay. Some lights are off and hallways confusing. We needed somewhere fast so it worked for us, but neighbors were quite loud in surrounding rooms. Skipped breakfast, it didn’t look properly cooked. All staff was really great and friendly though. Not their fault the hotel itself is subpar. TLDR: works in a pinch but don’t expect greatness!

Arrived to our room shortly after 11pm to a 85° room. Discovered the AC wasnt working which they would have know prior to our arrival had they turned it on and prepared the room for us appropriately. They decided to swap out the AC Unit about quarter after midnight.. needless to say it was a huge inconvenience. We slept till 10 mins past 9 waking extremely exhausted from not getting to sleep in time all to wake up to no coffee everything was put away. I do not recommend! Zero stars to be honest. Oh and there was a used soap in our shower still from the previous guest..Disappointed is a understatement.

Property did not have breakfast. Rooms were dirty. Manager said he would refund us for checking out early, Expedia contacted them and he refused to refund it then. Terrible customer service

The person who checked me in was very nice, but there was a little bit of difficulty in locating my reservation. Perhaps the communication between Expedia and the Days Inn in Fremont, OH was not completed the way it should have been? Also, I received many confirmation messages from Expedia, instead of just one. (The property was fine; decent value for the price. My comments are for Expedia maybe more than to the hotel.)

This hotel is nestled in a rural area. There isn't much within walking distance but it was nice to be away from the busy city. We got to our destination early and called to see about early check in. They accommodated us very quickly and we could check in within a half hour of calling. Didn't check out the pool area or the breakfast. Slept well and the room was clean and quiet. The building is definitely getting some work done and upgrades. But nothing that bothered our stay.

It is very convenient and quiet, but is an older property and shows its age.

I did not stay- refused to stay d/t safety issues. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE to stay in this hotel. Exit door did not work, was nonfunctional; not one guest or travelers car in the parking lot. Dim interior lighting. Never saw anyone other than 6 employees and 3 children that were staff's. How I know because the desk greeter included them (all in regular clothes not uniforms)into our conversation trying to "convince my sister and I" it was safe to stay. We watched one male "worker" enter the nonsecured EXIT door with two BUCK Knives (blades approx 6-8 inches) on his right front hip, then enter the room closest to the exit door. In the lobby the room , I'm guessing where breakfast would be served if it was operational, half the opening was covered in plastic sheeting. This was a horrible nightmare show ready to happen. I did not feel safe to stay. The hotel refused to refund me my money. Please don't stay at this hotel. We were told by our new lodging that they had been closed d/t bedbugs. And yes took video and there were stacks and stacks of mattresses in back of the building. This place should not be open to services to anyone until padding inspections! If I could I'd given their grade and -10! Who are they paying off to be open? Oh by the way they are located outside of town right by themselves to add to the horror. There were no business cards available, no hotel rating posted. Kept trying to pressure me to stay when it did not feel safe! Now I'm fighting to get my $ back.

The breakfast was cold, no juice. The hot water never made it to the second floor shower.

There was extremely limited breakfast there were ants in the Honey Nut Cheerios and there was no coffee and it took the staff a long time with several complaints about there being no coffee.

When you first walk in theres storage and boxes on your right. Hot tub was out of order. The bathrooms were out of order. My room didnt have bed bugs but i was worried about them after reading other reviews. Thankfully didnt find any. The breakfast sign says from 6-10am. Front desk will say it closes at 9. They offer eggs and sausage, some dry cereal, yogurt, waffle maker. Eggs ran out at 830 they told us they wont serve anymore. So basically its first come first serve. The back courtyard seemed over grown. Nothing seemed maintained. AC worked though.

Disappointing. The hotel is going thru a major renovation. Hallway to ice machine was hard to navigate as mattresses were lined all over walls and floors. Had to have someone clean toilet as due to lack of use rusty water. Breakfast was very poor. No juice . I would have gone somewhere else however extremely tired after 9 hrs on the road. This was one of the worst Motel I have ever stayed in, it was dirty, bathrooms not cleaned properly and the 'hot breakfast' was a joke, there was really only some bad coffee and dry cereal

Bathroom was dirty. Advertised breakfast was only toast, cereal and waffles. Staff was trying to be helpful but struggled to check us in for 20 minutes or so.

This is an old hotel that need updating. The key room card becomes easily demagnetized, there is no elevator to the second floor, half the lamps didn’t work in our room, the two towels were threadbare, it looked like the sheets hadn’t been changed, the breakfast was a joke. If I had paid half the price I would have been ok with the quality but for the price paid it was not ok.

The hair dryer did not work; and the breakfast was inadequate. There was one selection of bread, the toaster did not work properly, a hand full of sausage and approximately 1/2 cod scrambled eggs. This was at 7:30 am
