Comfort Inn Charlotte

Staff was friendly, but the hotel was not clean. The hallways, outdoor space, decorations, furniture throughout the hotel was dirty and unkept. The rooms were better, but makes you wonder. Whole place needs a deep cleaning inside and out.

Nothing was clean. Walls has weird and gross blobs. We didn’t expect much on a busy weekend but I wasn’t prepared to feel so grossed out at everything. Sunday night looked slightly better but the elevator floor was not mopped at all (layers of dirt and things stuck to it- super gross) but the hallway floor leading to the elevator was cleaned. Things were dusty and the curtains were falling off the hooks. Years of basic sheets changing and vacuuming without any deep cleaning will add up to a lot of neglected and dirty details. It just felt like the family running it wants to keep the lobby clean to trick you into thinking everything is fine, it doesn’t care enough about guests to try to keep the property clean.

It's alright for the price. Unfortunately it was graduation weekend the week I booked at this hotel, so this was my only option. Bedsheets were clean and towels were as well. The only thing I will notify future guests about is that the bathtub is very slippery. Be careful stepping out and even being in the shower. I almost slipped twice. Not only that but one of the guests at this hotel during the weekend I stayed did fall out of the bathtub and had an ambulance come and get them. Hotel staff did not do anything to help or provide a better experience after their fall. Which is disappointing. Breakfast options were poor, but it's included with your stay. Could've been better. Elevator was pretty dirty and run down. I lost something at this hotel and I've been trying to call them to get it back but no one likes doing their job to answer the phone. If you have no options else where to stay then this is alright but I don't recommend this place.

Hotel was clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean, but the sink was very slow to drain and standing in the shower, the shower floor felt like it was going to open up under me. It was creaky and weirdly flimsy, but held up. The pool was great. Very clean. The laundry facility was great as well. Overall the experience was good for the price we paid. No real issues.
