Charging a tenner for overnight parking for guests staying at the hotel, a bit steep and a £120 room rate does NOT include breakfast...which is disappointing. Otherwise very comfortable room and bed.

I booked this spa hotel as it is perfectly located. As it was my partners 60th birthday I had arranged lots of lovely treats. Sadly he went down with Covid and the hotel wouldn’t change the booking so I went alone as I didn’t want to lose the money. Everything was good, staff excellent, however the hydrotherapy pool was closed for repair and the steam was closed for maintenance!! Overall the weekend was quite disappointing. Staying at a spa hotel with no working facilities is like watching a Christmas light switch on with no lights !!

Brilliant team, super service and great food. Parking was tight and very small for the size of the hotel. Parking fee was a little cheeky but not unheard of. The room was too hot - had to have the fan on ALL night which was incredibly loud.

The hotel was conveniently located for the town centre. Excellent shops, bars & restaurants. The hotel is over four levels & unfortunately the lift was broken during our visit. Being on the top floor this was quite a challenge especially with luggage. Having said that it didn't ruin our stay. The staff were lovely & we would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Loved our room, the complimentary Gin was greatly appreciated and enjoyed!! Bed was super comfy slept really well. Staff really friendly and we had the whole spa area to ourselves! What’s not to love. ❤️

Nice friendly and stylish hotel. Age of building means it’s a bit creaky and the noise insulation isn’t perfect, but I’d definitely stay again. Staff were great. Car parking is a bit hit and miss when they’re busy

Hotel was over priced. Food was cold, parking was inadequate with not enough parking spaces for guests. Parking was first come first served and was charged at £10 per night, elevator was out of order for the second floor. The stairs to the second floor was steep and dangerous, especially for those with limited mobility. The elevator was out of commission for the whole 4 days of our visit. The room we reserved was advertised as a superior luxury and was disappointingly small with flat pack wardrobe and small desk. The breakfast was charged extra on top of the £287 per night. The hotel building needs updating to keep in pace with the 21st century.

Bedroom was nice, comfy bed. No room in hotel car park but public one close by. Food was good at breakfast and dinner. Convenient for walking the Roman walls, cathedral and centre.

We only stayed one night & would visit again. We loved the history, the character & the style of the hotel, super comfy bed & great walk in shower, lovely touch with the complimentary gin & tonic. We were a little disappointed that the bedroom windows were not cleaner, the glass was smeary & dust marked & the window frames (esp on the cross member) were grimy. All the staff we friendly, charming, professional & knowledgeable. 4 1/2 star rating! See you soon 😃

We had an amazing two night stay at this lovely hotel. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We had room 1 which does have the lift next to it but after everyone's turned in for the night the hotel itself is very peaceful. Breakfast was great and every memebr of staff we spoke to were very welcoming and obliging. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying there.

Really friendly staff. Room was beautiful but the view was a slight disappointment due to the view as our room was at the back of the hotel. Bed was so comfortable and spacious and bathroom was very well laid out with a nice little touch of dressing gowns and slippers. Room did get a very warm at night but a fan is provided in the room. A few little cobwebs on the ceiling in the corner and a little bit dusty in places, but overall nice a clean. There was a party/wedding going on at the hotel, but the rooms are very well sound proofed as we didn't hear a thing. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were amazing and very helpful. Food was excellent and beautifully served. Our original superior bedroom was dark and looked out on a tiny grubby concrete area with an air conditioning unit. They changed it immediately and the next room was very good. Bathroom fans very noisy at night. Bar lounge furniture was very stained and some of it torn. I didn't really want to sit on it. The staff made the hotel with their enthusiasm and helpfulness.

I stayed on a very hot day. The room allocated was high up in the property. There was no a/c and the windows could only be opened an inch or two due to seagull guards. Lovely place but my room was incredibly hot, which was a shame. I will stay there again though if possible as it has a great central location

We only booked an overnight stay at the hotel together with a pre theatre dinner. Check in & check out was quick and easy. All the staff throughout our stay were polite & helpful. The room was a good size & packed with all the usual equipment you would need for your stay which also included a mini bar. We were very surprised when we saw the height of the bed which was unusually high but very comfortable when you managed to climb on it. Would book there again.

The fixtures and fittings of the hotel themselves are lovely and the beds are comfy, however I had a room which I’d describe as being built for hobbits. I’m 5ft9 and had to duck under the door to get int he room, hit my head many times on the ceiling and just felt for the price that my room was very small for what I paid for it. I went in other rooms whilst I was there and the size disparity is enormous so I felt very overcharged for what I received.

Really lovely hotel, excellent staff and wonderful room. Beautiful area, and very convenient for the centre and station access. The only downside was the location of the room; the room itself was wonderful, very clean and the bed was very comfy. However, the stairwell and lift were right next to our room, in a small corridor, and the door to the stairwell doesn't have a soft closing door. All night, and the morning after, the door banged shut and it was disappointing for such a peaceful room that the room wasn't soundproof - it kept us awake and was a disappointing feature of the hotel, particularly as our room was a superior room!

Poor customer service, upon arrival ignored by the reception staff while they carried on chatting no apology for the 5 min wait. Spa closed not informed before hand, only booked for a spa weekend away. Breakfast was disappointing for £18 and we were charged double. We were also over charged for parking. The bar staff were lovely and very welcoming.

They were very accommodating to our late check in and trips back and forth to the hospital. The room was lovely, nice crisp sheets and fluffy towels with robes too. There are tea making facilities tucked away in the wardrobe. Plus a fan if it’s warm. The staff are really helpful, it’s a joy to stay there.

This was my first solo stay at a hotel, so was daunting for me. The parking was poor and when I tried to call reception to ask where to park the call was never picked up despite letting it ring and ring. For a ‘luxury’ hotel I didn’t find the welcome very warm. The bar/restaurant and room were truly lovely. I was not advised the spa was closed at booking, I received an email a couple of days before arrival. I was told a hold payment of £50 would not be taken from my account, my bank flagged the payment a few moments after the card details were taken. It was refunded on discharge. I’m not sure I would return despite the room being lovely. I feel customer care and making someone feel valued and important is top priority.

The hotel is welcoming with good onsite parking options. Building was warm in our current wintery conditions despite it's size. Staff were efficient. Location for the exploration of Chichester was ideal... easily walkable to town, cathedral etc...

Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds . Property is beautiful- pictures shown are accurate. Lift! Very convenient walking distance to centre of Chichester, the Festival Theatre and other attractions but just at the edge of the pedestrian area so I could have a taxi pick me up in front when I left

The location was ideal for the local shops and restaurants all within walking distance as well as interesting activities within walking distance. Good choice of breakfast and had an evening meal at the restaurant and it also had a good choice

A slightly disappointing stay. Not much room to move around in our Dr Luxe bedroom. Service was very slow at dinner and we were not given the A La Carte menu. Breakfast was also slow. Would not stay again.
