A good welcome at Old White Hart after a long journey. The small of wood fires greets you on a winters evening. We stayed in Rutland Room. Cosy, well appointed. Slightly disappointed at the sleep quality of the bed mattress. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Staff friendly. In short a very cosy rural pub with rooms. We will be back.

We had a delightful weekend at this beautiful country hotel. It is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, quiet, well kept, our room had an excellent en suite with a walk in shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent meals and the breakfasts are very good too. There is a well kept garden area with tables and chairs where one can relax. Uppingham and Oakham are a short drive away. We will visit again, definitely.

Beautiful location and building. Lovely beer garden. Friendly and welcoming staff. The quality of the cooked food however was only satisfactory. Evening meals were basic and did not reflect high quality cooking. Good choice for breakfast but again did not rate the cooked dishes.

Lovely hotel and room. Super quiet and romantic. Loved the blankets for sitting outside & the summer ale was delicious. Only negative was the tea tray. Two tea bags and three little cartons of UHT wasn’t suitable for two people staying in the room. Other than that a lovely stay. Thank you.

Lovely place and very welcoming team. Refreshing change to a chain. Room was comfortable, a little rundown in places. Clean but maybe hadn't been used for a while. Would definitely go again and this time get a meal as planned. Thank you.

Possibly the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed at! Beautifully presented rooms, so clean and comfortable. Under floor heating in the stunning bathroom, especially appreciated as it was -4 outside. Large comfortable bed and suitably decorated with cosy cottage decor. We will definitely be returning!

What a beautiful village and setting. The old white hart is a wonderful building, original features with tastefully done modern twists. Our double bath was more like a small pool, truly truly spacious. We loved it!

Stopped in ‘Wings’ room. The oldest part of the property. Charming and old world but with modern facilities. Double spa bath is nice and so is the big bathroom. We had a great afternoon and a good nights sleep.

Amazing room warm and cosy spacious matteress was a little soft for me but only a little thing on the overall stay . Lovely and quiet great tea tray and shower gels handwashes etc of a great quality (john lewis) , brilliant wifi and free and good freeview tv with good signal... overall great country cottage feel. Loved it will defo stay again

Unfortunately I can’t give a great review for our stay. The room was separate to the main building yet the same price. We only had one set of towels between two of us and no coffee! When I tried to call to remedy, there was no telephone reception so I would have had to walk back (in the rain) to the main building to rectify. I didn’t bother. We checked out at 8am but there was no one at reception to speak to so I just had to leave the key in the box. More like an AirB&B than a guest house.

Stayed overnight as I was doing a cycling tour of Rutland Water. Wish I'd booked more than one! Picked the White Hart from the reviews, and none of them were wrong. Fantastic place in a wonderful location. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely cosy B&B. The breakfast was brilliant (smoked salmon plus home made marmalade) and service excellent too. My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. I can really recommend for business stays around Corby. I'd love to bring my wife here for a short stay to explore Rutland.

We had a delightful weekend at this beautiful country hotel. It is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, quiet, well kept, our room had an excellent en suite with a walk in shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent meals and the breakfasts are very good too. There is a well kept garden area with tables and chairs where one can relax. Uppingham and Oakham are a short drive away. We will visit again, definitely.

Beautiful location and building. Lovely beer garden. Friendly and welcoming staff. The quality of the cooked food however was only satisfactory. Evening meals were basic and did not reflect high quality cooking. Good choice for breakfast but again did not rate the cooked dishes.

Lovely village pub. Traditional pub food very well executed, steak suet pud & the sticky date toffee pudding were gorgeous.

I loved it here! I actually stayed an extra night I was enjoying it so much. The room was wonderful, the food delicious and the staff very helpful and efficient. It was luxurious and relaxing. I would definitely go again!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in The Bede room which was beautiful, cottage style in decor with the bathroom including whirlpool upstairs. We ate in the restaurant on our first night, food was excellent. There is are also great outdoor spaces. Hollie, the owner was the perfect hostess. This a lovely, pretty little village which also has another pub. This too has a restaurant and we ate there our second night; again the food excellent but very different to the Old White Hart. It is nice to have a choice. Thoroughly recommend this hotel, we would definitely return if in the area. You have Rutland water, largest man-made reservoir very close by, nice walks and other things to do.

The most beautiful place to stay and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Just a few things that I thought needed changing: only one pillow per person and only one bath towel and one other towel in the room. I know there was a heatwave but it’s a beautiful old building with only one small opening window in the rooms so a decent sized fan would have been appreciated (not the tiny one provided) and maybe some bottled water. We did however enjoy our stay and would happily return
