Really liked the decor and attention to detail The person that checked us in was very professionally and attentive. Also made an excellent Negroni. The breakfast was really nice, with varied options and mini breakfast bar as well. The only less positive thing about the hotel is that there’s a ration of 9 car park spaces to 18 rooms. Overall 10 out of 10.

Absolutely first rate room. Very luxurious. We’d have welcomed a fridge, but otherwise absolute perfection. The bedroom and bathroom were enormous with whirlpool bath and shower. Breakfast was so good. Immaculate breakfast room and lovely staff. Freshly cooked to order with some pastries and yoghurt on a self serve area. Short walk to town which didn’t bother us. Parking was great. Nice touches here and there like water and umbrellas. A first rate place. Top end for a good price. We did find it odd that the self serve bar was shut so early. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a mini bar in the rooms? And the shower grout needed a good scrub in some areas. These were the downsides and we’ll definitely be back.

Excellent hotel with easy access off the main road and ample parking. Short walk down the hill into the centre of Bath. Very well presented rooms with neutral/modern decor and lovely bathrooms with power showers. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast dining room is beautifully presented and the breakfast itself is exceptional. Highly recommend a stay at Leighton House for your trip to Bath.

Property is lovely and well thought out apart from the parking situation which can be troublesome. Although it is a 10 min walk from the train station. Nice sized comfortable rooms. Great bathrooms and tasty breakfast options.

Lovely stay from start to finish. There’s a nice lobby with refreshments all day and attractive artwork. The rooms are clean with comfortable, updated furnishings and much-appreciated AC. We also had a very nice bath room. The hotel was quiet both inside and out. Breakfast was excellent— choices included full English, varied eggs Benedict, and a buffet of yogurt, granola, cereals, assorted pastries, etc. Breakfast servers were very welcoming and efficient. The free parking was great (but tight!)— we walked into Bath once, but it was very hot, so we also ended up taking short uber rides here and there too, My one warning: there is no lift, and while we were told our room was on the second floor, we actually had to lug suitcases up 4+ mini flights of stairs due to the winding nature of the house. I do wish someone had offered help with bringing up the bags, as it seemed like they strive for service of that caliber otherwise.

From check in through to check out the staff were very good. Breakfast was excellent and our room was comfy, quiet and had all the amenities that you would expect. The hotel was perfect for our stay and provided ample free parking which gave us a good base for our few days in Bath. It is halfway up a hill which was not a problem for us but for others not keen on walking up hill then be prepared to get a taxi or bus back from the town centre.

A very comfortable and pleasant stay. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Bar area drinks availability is to 7pm for non-complimentary items. Parking is tight if Leighton House is fully booked and needs cooperation between guests re double parking as the area around is fully permit only.

We had a wonderful stay at Leighton House and giving the parking situation in Bath I was very relieved the hotel had a small onsite parking lot. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I was a little disappointed with the daily room service. We stayed 3 nights and although we left the notice on the door for ‘room service’ our towels were never changed. As a heads up to other guests, Bath is very hilly, and it’s a pretty long uphill walk from center city, up Wells Road, to the Leighton House.

Very clean and extremely pleasant staff. Our deluxe room was exactly that and the jacuzzi bath along with walk in shower was an added bonus.

We received a warm welcome, and was quickly shown to our room - which was an ideal size for us. We enquired about parking and an Indian restaurant before we went up. When we came back downstairs, we were presented with a map and other information relating to our query. The people that clean the premises do an excellent job - everywhere was spotless. There was a very good selection for breakfast - every taste was catered for. The English breakfast was freshly cooked, antd asted as good aaslooked as it looked as it looked. Leighton House is an excellent place or stay when visiting Bath.

Having never written a review about anything before, (EVER) …I feel compelled to say it would be an injustice to the hotel & their staff to not bother here. Our stay at the Leighton for 2 nights was completely faultless.Too many times we have stayed at places that seem to be promising with convincing reviews but in reality seem to “Not quite measure up” for various reasons and I’m honestly not overly picky or precious.However that’s not the case here. The staff are impeccably decent the whole hotel is completely spotless and there is nothing about the place to make you feel like you need to compromise.Everything works as it should showers ,room functions etc breakfast selections and quality are spot on and nothing at all is dated or tired.Should we be making a visit to Bath again I know where we’ll be staying.

Super room - immaculately clean and well presented. Shower - excellent! Full English and veggie breakfast hit the mark with a great range of pastries and cereals to complement this. Staff were friendly and helpful - would imagine any future visits to Bath would be spent staying here.

Overall a good stay, couple of maintenance issues, the switch to operate the lights at the bed one didn't work, so had to get out of bed to turn off the lights, storage bin was broken and held shut with string and the grout in the shower area was very dirty.

The guest house is nice and serves a very good breakfast but it lacks amenities and the rooms are very basic. The biggest issue we had was the lack of sound insulation. We could clearly hear snoring from another room, and when the other room had a shower, it sounded like there was rain pelting on a flat roof above. Conversation could also be clearly be heard. I guess we were a little unlucky as our neighbours were really early risers and it meant we didn’t get a very good nights sleep, and above all else, it’s what I want more than anything from a hotel/guest house.

My wife and I were looking for a good quality hotel close to the centre of Bath so that we could watch the race. Leighton House was superbly located on the south side of the city that was generally quieter which we wanted. It had recently been refurbished and the quality of our room was of a high standard. Great bathroom and very comfortable beds and associated furniture. it was also of a reasonable size so you did not feel cramped. Service was helpful and v friendly and breakfasts were good with loads of choices. It was busy when we stayed and we only just managed to get a parking space at the hotel, although I believe there is additional parking close by in the side street. Overall a great place to stay.

Lovely guest house with beautiful decor. Room was incredibly spacious. Comfy bed and super shower. Breakfast was disappointing as the hot breakfast was barely luke warm. Such a shame.

Advantages: The room was clean, fresh, and stylish. The bathroom was elegant. Very good breakfast. Relatively central location. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Disadvantages: The room lacks a wardrobe(!). The room lacks a safety box. Many rooms are located on the ground floor with limited views. If you don't have a car and arrive by train, it's a 20-minute walk from the station along a country road. Note: Incredibly, they have installed a white plastic shower curtain in the very elegant bathroom, which has also become slightly dirty!?

Excellent bed & pillows, quality bedding. Room size was good. Excellent breakfast. Blackout curtains very good. Welcoming helpful staff. Bedspread was a bit un-luxurious . Major negative point was no handheld shower option, not everyone likes a deluge over their head and face. But overall we had a wonderful stay and would certainly visit this boutique hotel again.

A lovely property, very clean and well situated for Bath. However! The bedroom was freezing. It had an antiquated air conditioning heating system you had to switch on when you were in your room that took ages to heat up. After a wintera day out it would have been nice to go back to a warm room. Be mindful it is a city hotel and sits on a very noisy and busy road so our room was difficult to sleep in. We have stayed in much quieter places in Bath. Obviously not the beautiful buildings fault its location! Our biggest gripe......! When we checked in we were told breakfast was 8am until 10am. So we came down after a restless night as we were so cold at 9.50am to be refused a cooked breakfast. We were told we should have read the conditions in the book next to our bed. Who reads that! Apparently you have to be down before 9.45am. Now thats not an issue at all, had we been told at check in. We were not. As a hotel manager myself, it would not have caused too much inconvenience to cook a breakfast for two people, 5 minutes after and it was before 10am. Perhaps on check in, you should notify peope.of that. The breakfast we did have on the first morning was very good.

Lovely stay from start to finish. There’s a nice lobby with refreshments all day and attractive artwork. The rooms are clean with comfortable, updated furnishings and much-appreciated AC. We also had a very nice bath room. The hotel was quiet both inside and out. Breakfast was excellent— choices included full English, varied eggs Benedict, and a buffet of yogurt, granola, cereals, assorted pastries, etc. Breakfast servers were very welcoming and efficient. The free parking was great (but tight!)— we walked into Bath once, but it was very hot, so we also ended up taking short uber rides here and there too, My one warning: there is no lift, and while we were told our room was on the second floor, we actually had to lug suitcases up 4+ mini flights of stairs due to the winding nature of the house. We had an amazing stay at Leighton Hotel. The rooms was perfect, well decorated and a good size. The service was brilliant. The best part was the breakfast, such a good range of options on and off menu. Would highly recommend anyone to stay.

Georgina was a terrific host. She made all the difference on this visit. Our two friends who were traveling with us have difficulty climbing stairs. Georgina worked hard to get them a more convenient room. Plus she booked a terrific restaurant in town for us and reserved a taxi. The B&B itself is very good and comfortable and worth a stop.

Fabulous location! Perfect 15 min walk into Bath Center. Gorgeous house with beautifully decorated rooms. Bed and bedding were lovely. Breakfast was superb. I had the full English and my son had Eggs Royale, everything was cooked to perfection. The beautiful smell as you walk into the hotel is just lovely. The flavoured water at breakfast, every attention to detail was seen and very appreciated. Fabulous place to stay. Would love to be stay again!

A lovely stay in a beautifully renovated Georgian mansion. Modern tasteful décor, clean spacious room (king bed), wonderful breakfast. Free parking out front, early arrival recommended to get a spot. Pleasant 10-minute walk to central Bath.

Leighton House is a great place to stay while in Bath. About a 15 minute walk to town and all the sights. Breakfast was included and very good. We really enjoyed our stay there.

From check in through to check out the staff were very good. Breakfast was excellent and our room was comfy, quiet and had all the amenities that you would expect. The hotel was perfect for our stay and provided ample free parking which gave us a good base for our few days in Bath. It is halfway up a hill which was not a problem for us but for others not keen on walking up hill then be prepared to get a taxi or bus back from the town centre.

We had a wonderful stay at Leighton House and giving the parking situation in Bath I was very relieved the hotel had a small onsite parking lot. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I was a little disappointed with the daily room service. We stayed 3 nights and although we left the notice on the door for ‘room service’ our towels were never changed. As a heads up to other guests, Bath is very hilly, and it’s a pretty long uphill walk from center city, up Wells Road, to the Leighton House.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The staff were so lovely and the room was very modern and extremely clean. There was a small lounge area with free coffee and snacks which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was 10/10 and I liked that it was slightly outside of the city centre but only a 10 minute walk into the centre. Highly recommend for a trip to Bath. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Very friendly welcome and lovely attentive staff at breakfast. Fab food cooked to order for breakfast along with some premium fresh extras like pastries, granola and fruit. It was great having on site parking as this can be a problem when staying in Bath. The hotel and room was well decorated with all the amenities. The bed was very comfy as were the pillows, so had a couple of brilliant nights sleep. Only gripe of the whole stay was that the toliet seat must have broken at some point and had been replaced with one that was actually too short/wrong shape for the bowl. A small point but a surprise when everything else was so on point. Nice to see refillables in the bathroom rather than small bottles - the hotel clearly taking note of how it can be more eco. Overall a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend.

Absolutely first rate room. Very luxurious. We’d have welcomed a fridge, but otherwise absolute perfection. The bedroom and bathroom were enormous with whirlpool bath and shower. Breakfast was so good. Immaculate breakfast room and lovely staff. Freshly cooked to order with some pastries and yoghurt on a self serve area. Short walk to town which didn’t bother us. Very well presented rooms with neutral/modern decor and lovely bathrooms with power showers. Beautiful guesthouse, everything was fabulous. Truly. If I could give 10 stars instead of 5 I would. A little out of the centre, but it’s only a 10 minute walk and you’re there. Worth the walk, worth the money.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful the room with spacious and clean and we slept very well because it was very quiet the location is excellent as a 10 minute walk right into the city center the breakfast is one of the best we've had

What a great little find! Leighton House is gorgeous! A 15/20 minute walk into Bath centre so you can park the car and forget about it. We booked the Comfort double and were at the very top room on the third floor (room 18) Still spacious and very comfortable. Luxury bedding and thick fluffy towels. Soundproofing was excellent and there was air conditioning which was a god send. There is an honesty bar and free tea and coffee any time of day. In the foyer/lounge area. Breakfast was very good, a great choice and good quality ingredients. Excellent service too. The dining room is airy and bright with a buffet area with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal and yogurt. Beautifully decorated with charm and style, it looks recently renovated so everything is fresh and new. We will definitely stay here again. We walked to a local pub called The Bear which was very good. The food was delicious.
