Clean, comfortable room with a great sea view. Welcoming staff, and a good breakfast. Appreciated the log fire in the lounge in the evening. Hotel is a little dated and the only negative was the rather strong air freshener. Fabulous location makes up for that.

This was a first stop after renting a car from Lisbon and spending some time in the Algarve before a full roadtrip around Portugal. I almost thought two nights would be one too many as I had to make decisions about how long to stay in each stop but I easily would’ve stayed here another night if we had the time (in Sagres, generally, and the Pousada). The convenient parking lot was great for us. The views from the Pousada were spectacular, as you looked out at what felt like the end of earth. Breakfast buffet was great and mirrored the buffet we experienced in every other Portuguese continental breakfast we had (which is far better than any continental breakfast in the US). The hospitality was warm. Our twin beds pushed together were comfy. The walk out patio was a great place to chill with an espresso. And it was a short walk down a tall steep hill to Praia da Mareta. Of all the beaches we stopped at, this one was not overly crowded and the setting made us feel like we were in a movie, with an expansive stretch of sand between cliffs. Beware the winds in this area. The sand will definitely whip you and take your hat right off your head! Also, an easy walk or drive to local restaurants or bars. We wish we had time to go to more but we had an amazing night at Agua Salgada for cocktails. The historical attractions and sunsets are close by and you can also use this as a home base to take day trips to Salema, Lagos, Alvor, etc. with your things safely stowed at the Pousada.

We made a last minute booking for one night at Pousada Sagres. The hotel itself is beautiful, interiors are timeless and rooms are large. We had a small issue with our room, and the very friendly and accommodating Front Office receptionist was very understanding and moved us and upgraded us to a different room with a sea view. It was a beautiful view to wake up to! Breakfast was good with lots of hot and cold options, and you could sit outside which was a big plus. There was ample parking and it was a short walk to the centre of Sagres with lots of restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Sagres and will be recommending it to family and friends.

This was a wonderful experience and would return if I visited Portugal again. The hotel (Pousada) was out of the village and stood on the cliffs overlooking a beautiful bay and the Sagres fort. The building is full of history and was rather elegant. Although we were early we were able to check in, without any problem or frowns! The Staff were friendly and we were greeted with smiles! Breakfast was great. The swimming pool area was attractive and clean. We had a twin room on the ground floor with a patio and a fantastic view. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable.

The place was okay. When we first got there we realized the toilet was not functioning properly. No maintenance on site so we asked to be moved. It took 30 minutes to convince them to put us in another room. They really didn’t want to and said they would fix the bathroom the following day. Totally unacceptable. We left a day early even forfeiting our money. Rooms were small and smelled musty.

Accueil charmant et chaleureux. Très beau site avec vue magnifique. Chambre confortable, mais les deux dernières nuits une odeur insupportable se dégageait des tuyaux de la salle de bain, au point de nous réveiller. Heureusement que deux portes peuvent être fermées entre la chambre et celle-ci. Déjeuner exceptionnel avec service souriant et efficace. Nourriture, jus, café, mimosas : tout était bon. Une pensée pour Margarida, la chatte qui se promène sur la terrasse. Nous y retournerons volontiers.

Veldig enkelt rom. Savnet vannkoker etc gor å lunne ordne en kopp kaffe eller te. Til gjengjeld var frokosten overordentlig bra både med innhold og betjening. 👍😋

Lovely hotel. The people. The location. We really enjoyed our stay and special mention for Ismael (at the bar), the lady restaurant manager (forgot her name!!), the front reception gentleman (also forgot his name) but they were all fab! So many places nearby to visit. Their own restaurant has very good food…..mushroom risotto.

The place was okay. When we first got there we realized the toilet was not functioning properly. No maintenance on site so we asked to be moved. It took 30 minutes to convince them to put us in another room. They really didn’t want to and said they would fix the bathroom the following day. Totally unacceptable. We left a day early even forfeiting our money. Rooms were small and smelled musty.

If you are considering this property, don’t hesitate and go! Wonderful historic place that feels like a stay with a family. All the personnel are wonderful and go above and beyond to help make your stay memorable. Diego and Kai at front desk are full of great ideas, Silvia in the restaurant is amazing, Anna (gm) is kind and generous. Wonderful stay and we will be back

This was a first stop after renting a car from Lisbon and spending some time in the Algarve before a full roadtrip around Portugal. I almost thought two nights would be one too many as I had to make decisions about how long to stay in each stop but I easily would’ve stayed here another night if we had the time (in Sagres, generally, and the Pousada). The convenient parking lot was great for us. The views from the Pousada were spectacular, as you looked out at what felt like the end of earth. Breakfast buffet was great and mirrored the buffet we experienced in every other Portuguese continental breakfast we had (which is far better than any continental breakfast in the US). The hospitality was warm. Our twin beds pushed together were comfy. The walk out patio was a great place to chill with an espresso. And it was a short walk down a tall steep hill to Praia da Mareta. Of all the beaches we stopped at, this one was not overly crowded and the setting made us feel like we were in a movie, with an expansive stretch of sand between cliffs. Beware the winds in this area. The sand will definitely whip you and take your hat right off your head! Also, an easy walk or drive to local restaurants or bars. We wish we had time to go to more but we had an amazing night at Agua Salgada for cocktails. The historical attractions and sunsets are close by and you can also use this as a home base to take day trips to Salema, Lagos, Alvor, etc. with your things safely stowed at the Pousada.

Clean, comfortable room with a great sea view. Welcoming staff, and a good breakfast. Appreciated the log fire in the lounge in the evening. Hotel is a little dated and the only negative was the rather strong air freshener. Fabulous location makes up for that.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We only stayed two nights, but even My Husband said if our vacation was only this- it was perfect. The resort is quaint with the feel of Portugal, very clean, the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. The breakfast included was delicious everything to choose frim. All the food was excellent. We walked the Cliff walk, the views are spectacular. The beach below the resort is just wonderful. The cold water is exhilarating!! It was a fabulous experience. Definitely go back.

Wonderful hotel overlooking the sea, absolutely great meals were had here, a terrific bar and a very helpful and friendly staff. We had a double room with view of the sea, the fort and the cliffs, it was epic and very relaxing. We can’t wait to return!

The breakfast was wonderful, everything you may wish for. The only true negative was the door to the suite constantly rattled with every gust of wind (very windy there) and it was a challenge to eliminate the noise. I have mobility issues and the tub/shower was not well suited for me. Staff was very attentive and most gracious at check in. Did not use the pool as was much too windy
