The staff was very friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed. I loved the five dollar hamburger special at the restaurant.

Most hotels in the area offer a complimentary breakfast bar; the Inn no longer offers this gratuity. My friends and I had to leave the bar because it closed early. It’s after the fact because my stay is over but…when I called to check on my reservation, there was no record of it! Although the paperwork was located after a lengthy phone hold. I provided my reservation number.

Very limited food service

We have stayed here multiple times over the past 5 years. The inn needs the rooms to be refurbished. The inn no longer has free breakfast which was a big plus and was greatly missed. The little things that made it special are now lacking.

A very nice, updated, classic hotel. We were very pleased with our choice. A good breakfast comes with the room.

Newly updated hotel with restaurant and bar, Courtyard style opened up to main lobby, Could be loud if there was an event or party if you’re looking for a quiet stay, I would check to make sure there isn’t a large group, No doubt nicest place in town

Our room was not clean. The staff couldn’t send someone in to finish cleaning. There were cleaning towels on the floor in the bathroom, fingernail clippings beside the shower, hair balls around the toilet, small debris on the carpet areas. The walls were somewhat thin and we were awakened by the couple next door having a verbal exchange. The staff was nice enough but had no way to address any customer service issues. We didn’t stay the second night, and with help from Expedia were able to get a refund for the night we did not stay but no acknowledgment that there had ever been a problem from management. I do NOT recommend staying there.

The property is under major renovation, which was not mentioned when I booked this room!! I believe I’m one of the few “guests” not part of the construction crew?! Also, my room is covered in Sheetrock dust & I requested that it be vacuumed. But by 8pm I gave up, I was too tired to deal with waiting any longer. The atrium is extremely loud when guests are checking in or walking through talking. Very disappointed in this situation, as the property is really a historic gem.

This is an amazingly clean well kept hotel. It’s an older hotel, but you would never guess it. I loved everything about it. We stayed in 309 king bed and it was very clean and up to date. It was such a pleasure after several hotels on our travel that were just average.

Inn on the Square is a great hotel that’s centrally located and recently renovated. I have stayed at this hotel in my hometown for years; it’s my favorite spot. I would highly recommend it because it’s so clean and the staff are accommodating.

The bathroom shower is extremely dirty - it looks like it has not been cleaned in months. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the property is definitely older and not as well taken care of as it could be. Would not stay again.

On plus side: great location for visiting the downtown area and the staff was very attentive. Unfortunately, there were too many negatives: Room was not very good. The quality of the workmanship, i.e. tiling in the shower looked like it wasn't done by a professional. The vent in the bathroom was full of damp lint, obviously hadn't been dusted in a while. There was only one towel bar thereby leaving no place to hang hand towels, wash rags or a second towel. Very inconvenient as these were all wet when needed to use them again. Room was located on 3rd floor and overlooked the lobby. As a result, the light from the lobby and the additional light from the sky lights over the lobby area require blackout curtains. There were just plain ones allowing light all night.

Room we had, needed to to updated, most of hotel appears to have been done but room we had mist definitely hadnt been done in a few years and didnt match puctures on site or on video in the lobby

Rooms were nice and spacious. We had a noisy neighbor that was up at 6am with the TV blasting. Walls are thin!! Please fix this issue and we will definitely stay here again.

Staff were very accommodating, available, and helpful with early check in. Quiet and not crowded was a huge plus. Comfortable bed, nice fridge, tv, microwave. Only issue was water pressure in shower wasn’t the best and took awhile to get warm water to flow but that is being picky. Everything else is top notch, would stay here again.

I have stayed here several times. The air conditioner noise in every room I have stayed in makes it impossible to sleep.

Very convenient for the local area. Affordable chic. The oversized jetted tub in the bath was an added plus, considering so many hotels are doing away with bathtubs.

The shower nozzle needs to be replaced - it shoots water in so many different directions it is hard to get wet. Also, it would go a long ways if something was done to quiet the place down. Doors were opening all night and woke us up every time.

The lobby and restaurant and lounge looked inviting. The room did not. There were a number of issues with the room. For a hotel on the pricier side in Greenwood, we expected better quality. We hardly slept. A/C was SO loud it woke us every time it came on. Of course we heard the constantly in use ice machine as if it was in our room. It would seem the hotel could locate something as noisy as this perhaps a little more than 10 feet from our door, We were missing a coffee machine as was advertised on the website. All the fixings were there (coffee pods, sugar, etc.) but the machine wasn’t. I reported it to the front desk and the woman there said, “I’ll make a note of it”. I had to say so again the next day before they actually brought one to us. The shelf in the shower was missing. The clips to hold it were there, but the shelf was gone. We had to set shampoo and wet soap we were using around the glass wall onto the toilet seat as we showered getting the floor area and toilet seat wet and soapy. I pulled the window curtain back to see what view we had and we were looking down into the lobby! I wonder how we would have been able to get to safety if there were a fire in the hotel. Finally, upon our check out, we used the restroom off of the lobby area. Apparently the roll of toilet paper had been sitting in brownish water at some point, but I guess when it dried, they put it back in use! This hotel has gone down hill. Each time we’ve stayed we have been more disappointed.

Most of the staff were very nice (I only experienced one person who needs a little more customer service training at the front desk). Overall, I know that I would stay there again if the opportunity presents itself.

A very quaint hotel in a great area, close to dining and shoppes. Room was very nice. Didn't care for $20 charge to check in just 20 minutes early. Also lobby coffee machine was broken and restaurant that was supposed to open at 7:00 did not open until 9:30 because employees were late. Otherwise this was a great stay.

The property had been updated, therefore the room was nice. The only problem I had was with someone at the front desk who needed customer service training. Everything and one else was nice.

Tried to check in early said i had to pay to check in early so sat in car for an hour. Front desk very unprofessional when i checked in. The early check in lady doing nothing but looking at her cell phone said the lady on business phone talking to a customer could check me in.

Im a former local to Greenwood. IOTS is clean comfortable safe and at the main square. Convenient and tasty dining.

Hotel was convenient for the events we were doing in the area. The windows were thin because we could hear the traffic on the road, and we could hear the neighboring guests. Overall, it served its purpose as a pitstop for us.
