The rooms very clean and the beds are super comfortable. Awesome view. It also seems to be very well insulated as one could barely hear outside noises. The kids had fun in the pool

The A/C unit was very loud, switching on and off all night. The room did not have a window we could open up so we we're stuck with the noise. However, the swimming pool was a welcome surprise.

Rooms are renovated but rather cheaply. . Could use some deep cleaning. But overall good value for a quick one night stay. Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking. Easy access from highway.

We had a great stay, it was clean, tidy, friendly staff, and a clean outdoor pool. The parking lot lights are bright and on all night long, but the curtains worked well to keep the light out. Very quiet, except for our neighbours shower, we could hear it every time but couldn’t hear them at all. Would stay again!

It was just okay. Not terrible. But not amazing. Pool was VERY cold and had no towels. Needed to contact front desk. Had to pass a group of men at the bottom of the stairs sitting drinking and smoking - which felt uncomfortable. Room was poorly lit.

Property appeared newly refurbished and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Check in was smooth and there was ample free parking on site. The hotel is located fairly close to shops, restaurants, Riverside park and Kamloops viewpoint. A most welcome bonus was that there was an outdoor pool that was included. There was also breakfast included which was great but limited to things like granola bars, fresh fruit, muffins, tea coffee, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was so dirty! Bathroom had hair and mounds of dirty and pee splatters Pool was closed even tho we booked based on it being open we called the night before and got told it was 9-9 first day closed second day we asked why they said it wasn’t nice enough out…35• outside. Very shady area garbage everywhere Ppl beside us had pee outside their door all down the side walk from unhoused ppl. No elevator and told us they couldn’t move us down stairs we had a baby and a ton of stuff my elderly mother and I had to carry with a baby. The pillows are very old and lumpy, our coffee cups still had coffee in them and front desk denied it. Breakfast!?? A muffin or juice. Old over ripened fruit and some oranges had cuts and were mushy.

Ant infestation in the bathroom. Loud, staff did nothing to help the noise problems even after us saying something 3x and it was past their posted quiet time and we have a toddler who couldn’t sleep due to people jumping on the beds above us. Blood stain on our bed when we came in, although they did change this for us and sliding doors did not lock. They did do a temporary fix on it for us as well. Overall cleanliness was horrible hair left in tub from the previous people in room, room wasn’t ready for our check in time so they obviously rushed and didn’t take the time to clean properly.

There was a used Band-Aid in the shower. We had to call the front desk to remove it. The electric baseboard heater in the bathroom did not have a protective cover/shield on it and the heating fins were crushed. This had the appearance of an electrical hazard - in a wet area. When the hair dryer was used, the lights in the entire room flickered.

The room facilities are not old, and the environment is very quiet. However, the refrigerator occasionally makes a loud noise when it starts, which is especially disturbing in such a quiet setting. The bathroom faucet has the hot and cold water reversed — at first, I thought there was no hot water. One of the beds has a large yellowish stain near the head area, and the other bed had a strand of hair on it. It’s understandable that some wear and tear happens, but the cleanliness really needs improvement.

Sheets had not been changed and were stained with appeared to be blood! The floors had not been swept nor washed. It was disgusting. The bathroom was also very dirty. I went to front desk with pictures and they moved us to another room however it was almost as bad, other than the sheets had been changed. It was a very old run down hotel that appeared to have had a coat of paint splashed on without any kind of repairs done to previous damage to rotted wood and baseboards/silicone trim in bathroom. We were charged for what they self described as a room with a view, but I took pictures of the view from my window of a parking lot complete with a huge garbage disposal bin from the restaurant beside the hotel. I would not recommend anyone stay there.

we were in room 338, which is on the top floor and the very end closest to the indian restaurant. all night we heard squirrels in the wall fighting and scratching. I brought it up with the girl at the front desk and she didn't even seem suprised. the rooms were tidy but not clean-wouldn't walk around with no shoes and their was hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. however the beds were comfortable i'll give it that.

The Vista Inn is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and updated and the views of kamloops are amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpfull, location is really good with lots of shopping and food options around, and we cant wait to stay here again.

Great stay! Everything from the checkin to check out was great! The pink accents stand out and will be something we remember. The pink doors for every room made me smile. It was so cold outside and we walked into a nice, warm room. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. The room wasbig and the view of the valley really nice. The guys at the front desk at check-in and check-out were very kind.

Back for my second weekend in a row. Incredible views (especially from the second floor), comfy beds, and very conveniently located near TRU. Staff was all super friendly and helpful and the Nespresso machines are a plus. Flavors of India restaurant shares the same parking lot and has great food plus you get a discount as a guest here.

My fiance and son were stuck in kamloops due to car trouble. After staying a couple nights in a less than ideal location i booked them a room at this property and they loved it and it became a happy place for them to spend time until the car was sorted out. Thank you to everyone for the kindness during the stressful time.

There are couple of this they did terribly wrong. Firt I choosed mountain view room but they gave me a room with no view at all. Secondly i booked thru expedia , but when i go to see front desk they had no idea about my booking. They took an hour to figure out the stuff. Third, they didn't offer a single housekeeping in whole week. I went to front desk and ask them for housekeeping twice but they still missed it. Very poor staff out there

Staff person who checked us in was unfriendly. She took a phone call and then left without giving us a room key. Her co worker had to finish the check in. There is an Indian restaurant on the property. The strong smell of curry in our room was a bit overpowering. Would not stay here again.

Staff very accommodating and friendly! Room cleanliness was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Nice resent renovations. Price was very affordable. Only issue was that sound travelled easily from 2nd floor to room below. Suggest a 2nd floor room.

The hotel was good but the surrounding area was a concern. There appeared to be active drug dealing in the small park beside the hotel. That raised concerns about safety, but it did not appear to enter the hotel area.

Everything was just a ok, a budget motel with some degree of remodeling. The parking lot next to the property seemed like where people gathered at night to smoke joints and drink. Went to enjoy the night view of the town but couldn't stay due to the stink and also felt unsafe.

Stayed three nights at the Vista Inn in the middle of February whike checking out Thompson Rivers University. It is a short walk to the campus, near shopping, restaurants and beautiful valley views. Rooms were very clean, well-maintained and comfortable. Would definitely recommend it for a clean, comfy and affordable stay in Kamloops.

Back for my second weekend in a row. Incredible views (especially from the second floor), comfy beds, and very conveniently located near TRU. Staff was all super friendly and helpful and the Nespresso machines are a plus. Flavors of India restaurant shares the same parking lot and has great food plus you get a discount as a guest here.

Great view from rooms. Rooms were very spacious. For the grab a go breakfast- there are paper bags for you to put your food in. I liked that the toilets were comfort height and a good size. Good location - close to malls and eating places. Only 9min to Costco.

Easy short walk from Rider Express bus stop. Nice views from some of the rooms. Good value for money however you could hear the people walking around in the room above. Great Indian Resturant on site that has little street appeal but does have great views, great food & great service.

Very clean,remodeled rooms. Nice and roomy, Not sure about the area as we arrived at dark and left in the dark. Only negative was the continental breakfast-only muffins,granola bars, apples and coffee.

The room appeared clean, however I reduced 1 star, because I went to use a cup for water and found that the glass was very dirty, like it was used and not cleaned afterwards. Makes you wonder how they clean it, because there is no elevator to go up and down the stairs and I doubt they are hauling these glasses up and down those flights of stairs to put in a dishwasher. I also reduced 1 star on the property cleanliness due to the huge amounts of bird poop on the railing outside my door. I almost lost my balance on the stairs and just about had to grab a poop railing, and its not just a few specks, its covered in it. The only other thing was we were supposed to have ground floor room, but somehow it got messed up. The customer service is very good, as they are very friendly. Overall, the room was cheaper than other locations and I would stay here again if I had to. Thanks.

Do not stay here! The ice machine is only available by the front office. The one on the second floor is unavailable but the door has no sign identifying that it is out of order. The breakfast is very poor. There is very little selection and only one table to sit at. The cleaning carts say it all. disorganized, very little supplies and dirty.

Bathroom was dirty. Saying the offer breakfast is misleading. It's a handful of Costco items next to the front desk. No eggs or breakfast meats and no seating area. Should not be advertised as a continental breakfast. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Made beds one day but didn't clean mugs or provide coffee refills. We left a note to ask for coffee refills and they provided them but didn't make the beds the next day lol.
