The staff was very friendly. Our room had lots of space. We enjoyed spending time in the drawing room and sitting outside. We explored the beach across the street and found sea loch anemone on the rocks. We liked being able to have breakfast and dinner at the hotel dining room.

The House is lovely its a beautiful building - needs some repairs but nothing stopping you from enjoying it, located in a very rural place not much around - only 1 other place to eat. the view from the house is exceptional and you have a small area to sit on the water front ( stoned ) room was clean and had everything you needed just needs a little updating - staff were very helpful and professional and very welcoming - we were away as a couple for a relaxing weekend and Knockderry provided this well. breakfast was more than enough and tasty - i would say a little bit of TLC is needed and maybe some snack option on the menu - maybe not a place to go with kids - if your looking for a relaxing break then Knockderry is the place to go

Lovely old property with lots of character, but suffers from cold. Single glazing probably doesn't help but lots of heaters around and open fires too. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Fantastic little boutique hotel. Staff were really friendly, couldn’t do enough for you. We got a room upgrade when we arrived which was amazing. The view was fantastic. As for the food, wow! Well presented and very tasty. Sadly we couldn’t do the tasting menu as never gave any notice that we wanted it. Wasn’t disappointed though as the normal menu was very good. The hotel was also dog friendly. A welcome doggy pack was also provided. The hotel was littered with awards, the owner popped in a couple of times to say hello and to check we were receiving the best service. Highly recommend this for a romantic get away.

Excellent stay. Customer service throughout was superb, we were made to feel so welcome. Room was lovely, spacious and recently refurbished. Food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. Great location and so relaxing. We would certainly return. Highly recommended.

The location was amazing, and the house and room were very nice. Check-in was easy, and the staff was great. Housekeeping in the room could use a bit of work as I found trash from previous guests in a couple of the desk drawers. Most of our meal was delicious but my venison was over cooked but my wife was perfect. No one asked us about our meal until they came to clean the dishes away and when I mentioned the overcooked meat I got an "Oh sorry" with no offer to fix the issue.

The location was amazing, and the house and room were very nice. Check-in was easy, and the staff was great. This is a hard inn to get to via the roads and woefully understaffed. The staff who was there worked so hard but there was not enough of them. The whole inn could use a facelift in furniture and design and still be in sync with the time period. The bathroom had no heat and was freezing. There was only 1 heat source in the bedroom.

Room hadn’t been cleaned correctly. No spoons for tea/coffee in room, only one biscuit too. Service was very slow. Breakfast and the tasting menu was amazing.

We stayed in a twi room with the narrowest twin beds I have ever seen in my life - measuring about 2.5 feet in width. The mattresses were similarly not very comfortable. While the hotel is in the process of finishing up renovations so that the interior is quite new, the meals were quite dated, with offerings that weren't very contemporary and were very simple. They seemed to have one person waiting on all of the tables for dinner and breakfast and she was really frantic trying to address everyone's needs. It was hard to see how the hotel justified the price they charged.

The images online did not match the room that we stayed in, the room was very outdated and in need of a refurbishment. Other than that the staff were all very helpful and attentive during our stay.

We had the best stay possible at Knockderry House. The hotel and the location were beautiful, but the best part was definitely the service from the staff. We were blown away by how kind and helpful they were in every single way. Already looking forward to our next visit! Would recommend this place to anyone!

Great food in charming hotel. Would have awarded 5 stars if hotel did not continue to run out of certain items on menu/bar. Also breakfast service was not great on first day as waiting ages for order without tea coffee delivered , waitress was unwell but when paying top dollar for food an lodging I expected premium service.

The location of this property is magical. The owner and staff are amazing and fun to be around. They love their property and it shows. If you want a quiet, restful, and charming experience in a uniquely beautiful location, then this is it. The food was amazing too. Excellent stay. Customer service throughout was superb, we were made to feel so welcome. Room was lovely, spacious and recently refurbished. Food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. Great location and so relaxing. We would certainly return. Highly recommended.

The location was amazing, and the house and room were very nice. Check-in was easy, and the staff was great. Housekeeping in the room could use a bit of work as I found trash from previous guests in a couple of the desk drawers. Most of our meal was delicious but my venison was over cooked but my wife was perfect. No one asked us about our meal until they came to clean the dishes away and when I mentioned the overcooked meat I got an "Oh sorry" with no offer to fix the issue.

The location was amazing, and the house and room were very nice. Check-in was easy, and the staff was great. The setting on Long Loch is beautiful . The resturant was 5 star. The included breskfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our stay there was a highlight of a fantastic trip

Room hadn’t been cleaned correctly. No spoons for tea/coffee in room, only one biscuit too. Service was very slow. Breakfast and the tasting menu was amazing.

Fantastic little boutique hotel. Staff were really friendly, couldn’t do enough for you. We got a room upgrade when we arrived which was amazing. The view was fantastic. As for the food, wow! Well presented and very tasty. Sadly we couldn’t do the tasting menu as never gave any notice that we wanted it. Wasn’t disappointed though as the normal menu was very good. The hotel was also dog friendly. A welcome doggy pack was also provided. The hotel was littered with awards, the owner popped in a couple of times to say hello and to check we were receiving the best service. Highly recommend this for a romantic get away.

Great food in charming hotel. Would have awarded 5 stars if hotel did not continue to run out of certain items on menu/bar. Also breakfast service was not great on first day as waiting ages for order without tea coffee delivered , waitress was unwell but when paying top dollar for food an lodging I expected premium service.

Sadly, this turned out to be a disappointing stay. The building is beautiful and the welcome was friendly, but there were too many issues for a hotel positioning itself as 4*. We stayed in a “cosy room” on the top floor, which was unbearably hot. I appreciate the heatwave, but there was no fan available and no follow-up after I asked—sleep was very poor. The bathroom was particularly problematic: a tiny shower with nowhere to store toiletries, a drain that overflowed and flooded the floor, and a leaking hose that felt cheap and poorly maintained. There were also dirty marks on the wall where a shower caddy had clearly once been. The TV didn’t work. I overheard another guest reporting the same issue, and reviews suggest this has been ongoing for months—not acceptable at this level. Bar service was slow and impersonal. We stood waiting to be acknowledged, weren’t offered table service, and after sitting down waited a long time for drinks, which arrived incomplete. Breakfast was OK but lacked quality touches—generic bread cut into small slices and juice from concentrate rather than fresh. At checkout, issues were met with a brief apology, and getting a receipt proved difficult. Overall, it felt understaffed, lacking attention to detail, and a little run down. I wouldn’t recommend.

Zimmer war sehr heruntergekommen, der Teppich sehr dreckig und ein Krabbeltier haben wir im Bett gefunden. Frühstück war lecker und Service nett. Für eine Nacht gerade so okay, wir würden aber nicht mehr hier übernachten.
