A lovely find. Fantastic Country Hotel in a wonderful setting. Very peaceful. Tye rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The bar area is great with a welcoming log fire. Staff are brilliant and the food was excellent and well priced. I will definitely be back.

Just perfect we had a lovely evening meal with our dog in the lounge too. Highly recommend this hotel, Paul was especially friendly and attentive to our needs

Had a fabulous stay. Staff were just amazing. They really couldn't do enough. Rooms were lovely but bathroom a bit dated. Comfortable beds with absolute silence all night. We stayed just before Christmas and the open fire and Christmas Decs were so welcoming. Will definitely stay again

Lovely stay, really friendly and helpful reception, clean and nicely decorated room, comfy bed and quiet nights sleep. It's a bit off the beaten path but I think that's part of its charm, as it is set in beautiful surroundings.

A good hotel that I have stayed in before. Staff are very friendly. Food in restaurant very good. Room in coach house overdue for a deep clean and a refresh but comfortable. Bathroom spacious and worked well but again a deep clean needed. Some slight mould around.

Two night stay Business trip. Hotel sits in its own grounds. Fabulous views. You do need transport to reach it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent. Had dinner in the bar one night, really enjoyed it. Overall a very nice and comfortable hotel

Cannot fault 'The Coed-y-Mwstwr' every 8nch of this hotel is immaculate, well organised, well run, friendly, homely, staffed to good level woth happy attentive friendly staff. What a great place, we will definately be back again and hopefully soon and for longer. Thankyou everyone.

Really great hotel - fully recommend. However, Room 8 needs a desk lamp or lamp over the mirror otherwise there is no light at that end of the room unless you put all the main lights on. Also the ceiling in bedroom and bathroom needs some repairs. Also has a view over the kitchen extractors which start up at 6.30am!

Unexpectedly fabulous room and stay. We came for a wedding with no expectations and it was fabulous from start to finish. The staff couldn't do enough for you Our room was huge, spotless and such a comfortable bed I really hope another person I know gets married there!

This was a one night stay en route to west Wales from Essex. The hotel is high up on a hill, giving beautiful views over the valley. Our room in The Coach House (CH2) was large, quiet and extremely comfortable. One word of advice, do not open the radiator thermostat too much otherwise, if you get up during the night, you will find the room is really warm! Breakfast is served in the main house, with continental & Full Welsh cooked breakfast available. All the food we had was excellent.

Everything was excellent, from the staff to the food and the room. All the staff were really friendly and made our stay perfect. We had the coach house room - it was to a really high quality, comfy bed, great amenities and nice and quiet. Will definitely stay again

A lovely venue with attentive staff. There was an initial mix up with check in where the room I was allocated wasn’t made up, but this was resolved and I ended up with an upgrade.

Great rural location but with a hint of traffic noise if you’re a light sleeper. Could do with a little spruce up in the bathroom shower temp fluctuates and toilet seat not fully secured. Great food in the bar not badly prised for type of venue.

Hard to find through some winding lanes - missed the entrance and did a loop to get back, but a real gem once you arrive. Could do with a new, brighter, more visible sign maybe?

A lovely find. Fantastic Country Hotel in a wonderful setting. Very peaceful. Tye rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The bar area is great with a welcoming log fire. Staff are brilliant and the food was excellent and well priced. I will definitely be back.

This was a one night stay en route to west Wales from Essex. The hotel is high up on a hill, giving beautiful views over the valley. Our room in The Coach House (CH2) was large, quiet and extremely comfortable. One word of advice, do not open the radiator thermostat too much otherwise, if you get up during the night, you will find the room is really warm! Breakfast is served in the main house, with continental & Full Welsh cooked breakfast available. All the food we had was excellent.

Everything was excellent, from the staff to the food and the room. All the staff were really friendly and made our stay perfect. We had the coach house room - it was to a really high quality, comfy bed, great amenities and nice and quiet. Will definitely stay again

We were attending a wedding and we stayed for one night. The wedding was amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful hotel set in lovely countryside. The room was spacious and a fan had been provided as it was another hot summers day. We had evening drinks in the garden before dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and breakfast the next morning was plentiful and equally tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We'd definitely recommend a stay here.

Lovely mansion house hotel, nice clean rooms with excellent service and delicious food from a friendly team. Will definitely return . Convenient to M4 and Bridgend.

What a beautiful manor! We loved staying here. The manor sat on a secluded hill and provided just the experience we were looking for after long days with lots of people. The restaurant served delicious food. The staff was exceptional. Highly recommended.

Was surprised upon arrival at the age and grandeur of the establishment that was definitely undersold via their listing on Hotels dot com. Fabulous location, lovely bar and dining area, very friendly staff. However at 0630 on a Monday morning directly outside of the bedroom windows of the coach house an overly keen gardener in ear muffs, launched his tuned, and fuel injected petrol mower into a full scale assault on the various and multiple lawns outside, with a decibel level what would have rivalled U2 in Croke Park in 2009. Furiously we banged and gesticulated on the bedroom window wrapped in nothing but towels. However he kept his head low, and simply cracked-on oblivious for another 2 hours in our locale....causing the need for a cold shower to wake up, and to head for a very early breakfast...but fair play to him however, as he was still scything away in the grounds 6 hours later...just further down the hill. Breakfast that morning was adequate/average and so we avoided the traditional and the vegetarian on the second day, but it put us off ordering evening meals there that Monday night. So we stayed in town for food before heading back to what is a beautiful and rural location. It has multiple function areas, good car parking, and an Agatha Christie atmosphere of days gone by that was very nice to wander around.....would definitely revisit.
