The Harrison

Staying above a local pub in Central London is such a fun experience. Super personable, great food, and you only need to walk downstairs to be in a neighborhood watering hole!

Good location, the pub downstairs was really nice. The building is old and the room was small but adequate. Really appreciated the toiletries and tea/kettle. Staff were excellent…friendly & helpful! Overall a nice vibe. You definitely need to have good mobility as the rooms are at the top of a narrow staircase. Check in/out was seamless.

Nice place close to Kings Cross. Quiet street. Room above a pub so a little noisy until closing time but that’s part of the appeal. Don’t stay here if stairs are an issue for you.

A very quaint stay in Central London. Very near King’s Cross train station (convenient). Good pubs and food options and lots to see around there. Nice neighborhood. It’s a hotel above a really cool pub/venue. Breakfast was awesome! We recommend this spot and would stay again.

Excellent location and space. Close to transportation, yet private. The pub is lively, convenient, and very quiet after 10pm.

This is not a hotel. It’s an inn with very few rooms above a pub. Expedia should make that clear in their description. A three story walk up with no “hotel” amenities is fine if that’s what you expect but you would never know that based on how it is described on Expedia website.

I absolutely loved the experience of staying in a B&B located above the Pub. I happened to be there during a Comedy Night, and it was not too bad. I'll definitely come back. Cheers!

Cool little place, close to St Pancras. Lots of stairs - no problem for me. Delicious breakfast included. Comfy bed.

This was a surprising find. We booked it for a one night layover. It was "off the beaten path" and a bit of a hike from the train station (with luggage). Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. Dinner and breakfast was very good. The biggest surprise was that the Harrison has an entertainment venue in the basement (comedy the evening we were there). I recommend this place.

The welcome at The Harrison was fantastic, Jane was really friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. Lication is fantastic, really close to Euston and Kings cross stations. Food & drink was great. I'd definitely stay here again when visiting London.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location within an easy walk of the Kings Cross/St. Pancras station, even with large travel suitcases. The room was nice, simple, clean. The breakfast and dinner were both fantastic.

Friendly welcome, property was clean and in a convenient location it’s not the prettiest area but it was super quiet and the included breakfast was spot on.

The pub itself is nice, the food at breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the room itself let down the experience. There was an awful smell of drains coming out of the bathroom, even with the toilet lid closed and door shut. We left the extractor fan on all night and had a window open most of the time because the smell was so disgusting. The rooms look tired. While everything looked clean in general, I did notice the bathroom had a few spots which looked like they needed replacing or had buildups of limescale-type stuff. The shower wasn't good - very little pressure and even at the highest temperature it wasn't very hot. I'd maybe return for food, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

When visiting we expected th Harrison to be of excellent standard from the Hotel.com website, unfortunately we were disappointed after what we had spent. My main issues were that the bathroom smelled of waste all of the time, breakfast was good and good but not excellent

The linens and pillows were high quality. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. The staff was helpful from allowing bag drop-off to preparing a sack breakfast as we had to leave before the breakfast hours.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Super friendly staff, perfectly clean room and excellent location for us! Me and my two daughters loved it here!

Fairly basic rooms but all was clean and amenities were good in the room, plenty of tea and coffee and toiletries. Room was quite cold but there was an electric heater which could be used. Breakfast was included which was a great bonus and it was very good. Location excellent for being near Euston and King’s Cross.

It was factors like comfortable bed and bedding, decent toilet paper , fairtrade teas and a book shelf on the stairs and a striking quirky mural that made it a delight to stay there. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for very competitively priced accomodation with breakfast included.

The people who were running the pub and hotel were wonderful. The breakfast was in the pub in the morning, and it was delicious. The room itself is fairly small and is badly in need of an update. That being said, it was clean. The shower was like a small pod that if you were a larger person, you wouldn't be able to use. The furniture was worn. The bed was small, and I didn't like the size and thickness of the pillows. The internet wasn't working while we were there. Since it is a pub, I realized there would be noise until it closed and with no air conditioning, we had the windows open so you could hear the people outside. Also, it wasn't soundproofed from the other rooms. It was a great value for the price but don't expect a 4 star experience. Again, the staff were fantastic.

Location was great for proximity to transportation and the pub is very friendly and a nice vibe. Room is bare bones but hey you are in London and the price is right. Breakfast is ready when you are. Note: if you want to go to bed before 23:00 and it is summer you will get noise from below. And because no air conditioning you have to keep windows open. Pub makes good food and it’s a good deal and fun.

Good location near St. Pancras Station for the Eurostar. Fun being on top of a pub, great pub, beer, food and service with live music at times. But the room was tiny, hard to even move around, and desperately needs updating.

The room was fine and the pub and staff nice, but I would avoid booking if ‘Room4’ were the only option. There is a loud and constant fan/motor noise coming from just outside the room that was impossible to block out even even with earplugs and I barely slept. Room was clean but kettle was broken. Water pressure very slight and shower head fell off the wall if angled so you could get underneath it.

The staff were amazing, but the hotel rooms are old with very thin walls. Large size room, but needs a refresh / modernizer. Great location near to train station and many different restaurants.

Very happy with the Harrison. The woman who checked me in was incredibly friendly and so helpful throughout the stay. I didn't realise breakfast was included and that was such a nice touch. My room including the bed and pillows was very comfortable, a good size, and quite quiet especially for this neighborhood. The shower pressure was a bit weak, but the water was warm. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean room, liberal left luggage policy, cozy pub, pleasant manager, convenient to St. Pancras, King's Cross and Euston train stations.

I chose The Harrison because it seemed different than a standard run of the mill hotel and was reasonably close to Russel square where I needed to be. In terms of appearance and room quality facility it more than met expectations (wasn't too expensive either), as this was an older building where much effort has gone to convert it to modern standards. The pub downstairs was great, with excellent food and value and the breakfast was very nice indeed (for me a simple breakfast is all I wanted and there were plenty of choices). It was ready on time too per instructions. The check-in, which was late (after 11PM arrival from the airport) was helpful and though the room was upstairs, with steep staircase, they helped me with my luggage. I didn't mind otherwise the upstairs location as it was quiet and generally comfortable). The staff found an adapter for me the next morning which I needed too, so that worked out. For those looking for something a little different and a touch of the old local London unburdened by too many tourists this facility is great. The taxi they ordered for me was there on time and reasonably priced (20 pounds less than the trip from the airport!). It's also a nice walk to the Russel center area but takes a bit longer than specified (about 18 minutes to Russel square) but still, it's a pleasant residential area of central London to walk through. The main reason for 1 star less than I'd give, is the shower which remained too hot, no matter what I tried.

The linens and pillows were high quality. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. The staff was helpful from allowing bag drop-off to preparing a sack breakfast as we had to leave before the breakfast hours.

First review on here as I don't dish them out easily. The pub was really busy when I arrived due to Christmas parties but they afforded the time to deal with me to make sure I was settled and showed me to the room - which was excellent. Communication was great, they were welcoming throughout and a lovely breakfast in the morning.

I messed up on our date of departure. Received a nice call from owner and she was able to cheerfully accommodate us.

Great hotel and pub. However, there is a homeless problem in the neighborhood and police activity during the night. I never felt unsafe but quite a bit of noise outside the windows.

Location was wonderful and the neighborhood pub under our room was the perfect entry to London. Stairs aren’t for the faint of heart but regular walkers should have no issues. Staff was marvelous and room was comfy.
