Baymont by Wyndham Midland

We mostly liked the gentleman who was working in the evening. He was so fun and friendly. The caramel popcorn and hot chocolate for free in the evenings was really special. The pool isn’t huge but the kids really enjoyed it. I would totally stay there again.

The pool and hot tub were great. We loved the charming vibe, and the artwork throughout the hotel. It would have been great to have more than 5 channels on the TV. Also, our room had a pretty strange smell. Luckily the window opened so we could get some fresh air.

Staff was great! Professional, efficient and friendly! The stay was peaceful and enjoyable. Room was nice and clean. Swimming pool and hot tub were in need of some upkeep. The pool deck was dirty as well as pool and tub. Water was well chlorinated and looked clean. It didnt stop us from swimming, since everything else in the Hotel was SO SPARKLY CLEAN ! I felt like this was an oversight. I will definitely stay at Windham again!!

Staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful. The pool was small and slightly cloudy, but kids had fun. The free fresh popcorn in the lobby with an assortment of drinks was a bonus.

The online check in was great. When we arrived, I just had to show ID and was handed the room key. It was fast, easy and convenient. The staff was super friend and the room was very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be staying here again!

The hotel looks nicer on the inside, than the outside. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, and updated. The beds were comfortable. They had cookies and popcorn, and drinks for an evening reception. Breakfast was a little sad. There was a waffle maker, donut holes, random fruit, yogurt and two kinds of cereal. I didn't see any breads for toasting or pastries. Pretty lacking even for a Continental breakfast. The pool was gross, and should be shut down for cleaning! It was very dark and murky. The hot tub had scum a foot deep. The scum is a bulld up of body oils, deoderants, detergent. It's not a sign of high maintenance..We have a hot tub, and could tell, this one is not maintained. If you're not looking to swim or eat a great breakfast, this hotel is fine. We were here overnight only, and it served the purpose.

We have stayed at this location numerous times and have never had a bad experience. We even had the hottub to ourselves for a short time. Nice and quiet.

The staf was friendly and welcoming, the hot tub was hot, and my room was spotless. I will definitely be back.

This Baymont always surprises me! The staff are always very friendly and the rooms are always clean. They allow pets and they have free EV charging. Overall, this location is well worth the price and I will come again!

Great, convenient location. My kids loved the pool. They do have two EV charging spots which aren't well marked - definitely will take advantage of that next trip! Great value!

Carpet was filthy! Thank goodness I brought slippers but it made me wonder about the overall cleanliness of the room. The overwhelming smell of febreeze should have been a deciding factor. Room was next door to the breakfast room and breakfast starts very early! Needless to say we were up very early on our vacation day away.

The room was clean, spacious and quiet! The staff was very friendly, courteous and kind. Was a nice place to stay and close to everything. I thought the free water, tea, coffee and popcorn was a nice amenitie.

When we got to our room there were an abundance of drain flies by the sink. We were willing to deal with this inconvenience, but the second day we found a dead cockroach in our toilet. We were only offered a different room and never received any apology, compensation, or even follow up from a manager. The only positive part of the stay was the pool and the gentleman working nights.

My room was dirty. I set the floor towel in front of the shower and wiped the floor and the towel got flithy

The staff were very friendly and took care of us well the hallways stink like rotten fish. The rooms seemed to be on clean

Due to a family emergency, I stayed one night last minute reservation.The queen bed in room 102 was not very comfortable although it was very clean. The best part was its at the end of a hallway next to exit and personal parking spot.The shower had cobwebs hanging down and I found a bobby pin on the bathroom floor not mine.The TV,fridge,microwave, coffee pot and WIFI worked well,but I had to wipe down most switches from dust. Overall, morning breakfast was good and basic from 6-9am (fruits, toast, cereal,waffles,yogurt,juice, coffee). Wasnt able to use hot tub due to a boys sports event and it was crowded and it was not the most quiet hallway since my room was near pool. Not sure if I will return as I had higher expectations for $250.

This place was dirty as hell. Ring around the toilet.

The hotel was NICE & CLEAN. The outside defiantly doesn’t do the inside any justice, needs cleaned up. Hotel’s Halloween decorations were amazing. We loved how much effort they put into decorating the inside lobby area, along with Pumpkin contest for customers to vote! Rooms were clean, spacious, and defiantly prepared for us to stay. The only dissatisfying things were, the TV remote did not work for our TV. Could not change the channel, volume or power on & off. We didn’t notice until later in the evening so didn’t ask for a new one. Had to just keep getting up and down to adjust the TV when needed. Last thing that really bugged us most was disturbance - being 4-5 rooms away from the back entry/exit door and the amount of people that came in and out. The door slammed every time someone came through it. We were awake by 6am, if not a little earlier because of the amount of people using that door to enter/exit, so early. The amount of traffic that came through the hallway during night & morning times was very rough. I felt like everyone was booked in one hallway. Along with multiple people with dogs, and allowing them to bark at 5-6am while in the hallway. Walls were very thin, we could hear full conversations from other rooms & a lot of loud snoring at night which kept us awake. We also noticed, when we returned to hotel from the movies at about 12am, the back door doesn’t close properly. Anyone could get in without a key card. We tried and it worked without one.

Room was very nice clean and quiet. Free refreshments were a nice touch. Breakfast could have had healthier options. Staff were helpful and polite. Overall a very nice experience.

Staff were nice. Hotel was clean and interior was in good condition. Exterior was in rough shape and pool was a bit small and maybe cloudy looking. Breakfast was fine for what it was. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable.

The wifi connection seemed to go and come frequently. Our devices would loose connection would have to be restarted every day.

Easy access - but in the room the heating unit and the refrigerator made WAY TOO MUCH NOISE. It needs to be repaired so that you are NOT interrupted while sleeping. Last time there the refrigerator leaked. Needs maintenance.

Exterior looks dated but rooms are renovated and very nice. Check-in was very slow, but it was probably just that one employee, other staff was attentive.

I've stayed here several times, I like the condition of the rooms and the fact that the rooms are spacious since it's an older property(70s maybe?). Price can vary depending on the day and if there is high demand. It was over $160 when I stayed because of event that weekend, seemed expensive.

Super nice and easy check in with staff member Mark. Rooms are clean, updated and spacious. The hallways could use a deep carpet clean, however.

The person at the desk was rude and not helpful. Would not let me check in even though I booked the room, paid, and had the confirmation number in my email because it asked for additional guests names and I put my sister’s name. Since her name was on it only she could check in even though it was my reservation.

We had a great stay here and was 50.00 cheaper than most other hotels. The guy who worked the desk on second shift named Mark was awesome. he made me and the kids feel like family. He was super friendly and helpful. I had five 10 uear ilds with me and he just kept on being super friendly and making more and more popcorn for us. Cant say enough good thi gs about this hotel. If ever go back to midland we will be booking here for sure.

Arrived late and was upgraded to a quieter wing. Clean, comfortable and excellent customer service.

Everything about the stay went well. Todd was amazing, he helped to make the stay even better. The food and drink were also very good. We will be back

In coming to town to visit family and friends, my son and I stayed at the Baymont in Midland, MI. From the start, we received excellent service and found it to be an wonderful calm in the storm of family/friend visits. The breakfast bar was wonderful as well as the hot tub; the room was comfortable with only one minor issue, the shower head fell off while I was taking a shower but after I reported it, it was fixed quickly. The staff were friendly but I do want to give a special shout out to Jenelle who went the extra mile.

The stay was wonderful. We had our grandchildren with us and one of them got sick. I went downstairs to ask for new linens and sheets and they were gracious and they gave me all fresh linen and they helped me clean up the mess. They were great. I think.

My furnace at home broke down and I just came for 1 night until it could be fixed. I arrived at Baymont about 1am. I asked the night clerk if I could stay beyond the 11am check out time since I came so late and she said yes. In the morning, however, the manager pounded on my door and threatened to call police if I didn't vacate immediately. I can understand if the message didn't get through to the manager but she was very rude and called the police. The officer who came said it was ok for me to stay on the premises past 11am so I wasn't getting in my car to drive when I was still drowsy. The manager could have been accommodating and cut some slack to a customer that had just had a difficult and late night. I expect better service from a manager.

The mall was near by. It was very quiet. We had a clean room and staff was friendly. Also many restaurants and grocery stores near by as well.

In town, by the mall, but still quiet area.

Excellent location

It you are looking for a clean, pleasant cost effective place to stay in the Midland area, this is the place. It is convenient to shopping and dining. And downtown Midland is a short easily accessible ride away.

Clean and location was perfect to downtown and Dow Gardens/Diamond. Windows were open in hallway so it was very hot. Rooms were cool, though.

We were at the Baymont for a wedding in the area, couldn’t be any more centrally located for our needs, thank you Baymont!

The only thing was breakfast ended at 9 am . We came down at 9:30 am on a Saturday and no breakfast. Should stay open later on the weekends.

This hotel was nice and comfortable. It wasn't new or fancy, but well maintained. It was conveniently located near M10, and there were several dinning options within just a few miles. Some even within walking distance. Breakfast was quite limited, but everything we tried was fresh and good quality. Pool and hot tub were fitting of the hotel...nice, comfortable, well maintained, but not new or fancy. We enjoyed using them both nights of our stay, as well as the patio area outside the pool room. It was pretty basic as well, but clean tables and chairs with umbrellas, and with a privacy fence surrounding. We had no complaints about our stay. But a few things i think they could improve on to step up the overall stay would be the vending/ice machines (options were VERY limited), and the options at breakfast. If I ever have the need to stay in the Midland area in the future I would definitely stay again!

It was clean and quiet. Pool was clean. Other than waffles, it was not a hot breakfast, but an adequate continental breakfast. Definitely a good place and value.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. The full sized Double Decker Bus and British Phone Booth outside was cool to see. My only slight negative was the breakfast. Not much in the way of options. Pretty much just cereal, toast, mini cinnimon and waffles. No eggs or breakfast meats.

Impressive breakfast, good pool and hot tub temperature, they offer dove for soaps/ shampoo, staff was friendly and delivered towels for me when I had no extra hands. Free popcorn was amazing. Free tea was even better. Can’t wait to come back!

I saw what appeared to be boiled eggs in the breakfast photos. Unfortunately, there were no eggs of any kind available for breakfast. As a diabetic, it can be challenging to find kero-friendly options. Lot of carbs and sugar are available but that's about it. Also, I did not use the shower until this morning but there was a used washcloth from a previous occupant hanging over the shower curtain which I did not see until today when using the shower. Pretty much lost my appetite after that I have photos but we're unable to load.

Beware of the breakfast. Very few options and nothing hot. Disappointed since breakfast is important to us.

Breakfast was lacking. Only things in the way of hot food was make-your own waffles and toast. No eggs, meat etc..

Disappointed in the breakfast offerings. Waffle batter was very runny, making the waffles very thin. Not a lot of choices for breakfast.
