Lost Guest House Stirling

Pleasant helpful staff. Room and bathroom was huge and spotless. Quite at night. Centrally located with off street parking next to the building. Breakfast available at a modest price. Rates are very reasonable. I strongly recommend the Lost House Sterling.

The accommodation is ideally situated for Stirling town centre with access to shops and the train/bus stations within walking distance. It was quiet despite being so close to the town and having a well-used slip road right outside the accommodation. There appeared to be sufficient parking available on site and metered parking close by. Staff on reception provided a warm welcome and the room/bathroom were clean. I would have preferred a larger desk in the room and a comfortable chair but that might not be important to other travellers.

Stayed for three nights in April. Place was fine with nothing in particular one way or the other. Breakfast was offered but not sampled. Location and low price are the key attractions.

One night, during which I didn’t venture out, so nothing to report. In the morning, one shower during which the water from the MIRA Electric shower unit, aptly named “Jump” offer either ice cold, or boiling hot versions of the slow spout of water coming from it. I jumped about half a dozen times before giving up, in rinsed and grumpy! I may return, but first, fix the shower.
