Timberhouse by the sea-Sauna-Aurora-Kayakparadise

Welcome to Lyngærstua / Aurorahouse. View the northern lights from our terrace, kayak the lagoon from the beachfront and hike up Lyngvær mountain from the house. The house from the 18th century and was an active merchant area with steamboat harbor, postoffice, and market. The house is renovated with new bathroom. The sauna has amazing views of the sea and mountains. Its free to use, but remember to buy wood at the petrol stations. Charger for electric or plug-in car is available. The space The old timber house is over 2 floors, with the hallway, bathroom and bedroom on the entrance level. On the second floor there is 2 bedrooms in each end of the house. The two large bedrooms towards the sea has a beautiful views over the ocean and mountain and inner lagoon. The big dining room area has a large wooden table seating 10 (12 with extra shairs) people, with kitchen and sofa area to lounge in . The heat pump warms up the house nicely in wintertime. Guest access The house has a large terrace facing the sea and mountains and has a coal barbecue that guests can use. Remember to buy coal etc. The terrace is large enough for gatherings and for example yoga. The wooden sauna seats 10, or a very cosy group of 12. Other things to note All garbage must be taken with you when you leave. Due to its rural location there is no public arrangement out here. We will inform you of sites to take trash and bottles/tinned cans. The house is a perfect place for groups, either work, families, or friends. The house has 12 beds but 10 people feels more comfortable space wise, and also there is only one bathroom/toilet. The house has a new sauna free to use. The area is perfect for climbers as its very near all the routes in Henningsvær. The small islands are only small steps from the door situated by the seafront and leads to sandy coves perfect for kayaking. The mountains nearby are perfect for randonee skiing or free-riding in the winter, and hiking in the spring, summer or fall. Lofoten Links is one of the most famous golf courses in the world and only 20 min from the house. Other activities consists of kite-surfing, scuba- or free diving, fishing and surfing.
