This was our 3rd New Year at The Cottage at Tideswell. Have absolutely loved staying here. We had a fabulous New Year break. The property is spacious and well equipped. A few issues the first time we stayed which were dealt with promptly and the property was updated and redecorated prior to our second visit. Beautiful village, perfect location (10 steps to the Co-op!), 3 pubs and 2 restaurants. Really friendly people and walks straight from the doorstep. Be aware that if sleeping in the front bedrooms the church bells do chime every 15 minutes. I struggled to get off and woke early. Considered returning next year despite some negative points but Christmas and New Year already booked!! The level of cleanliness in the cottage this year was not up to standard. We found rubbish under tables and sofas that clearly hadn’t been moved during the cleaning process. Bits of rubbish were also found down the sides of sofas and chairs. Also hard floors had not been cleaned properly into the corners. Very disappointing. Not sure if the cleaning company has changed.

Really lovely house - looks just like the photos. Great space for family/friends as the kitchen is open plan with a good sized island and dining area. Sitting room space is also great. Amazing location in the centre of beautiful Tideswell with pubs, restaurants and shops all in walking distance. Some people have mentiobed the church bells but rhey did not bother us at all - just adds to the character and village feel. Bedrooms are comfortable and a good size. We all had a very lovely stay.
