At the top of Sjusjøfjellet you will find Høglia, one of the area's first cabins from 1906. This is not just a cabin, but a piece of living history with a fascinating story that stretches from the railway hotel at Eidsvoll to the dramatic events of the war years.
Inside, you will find a perfect balance between tradition and comfort. The original living room with its unique fireplace and historic furniture stands as a witness to time, while the modern kitchen and heated floors in the bathroom ensure a comfortable experience. Wood-burning stoves in the bedrooms create an authentic cabin atmosphere.
The spacious grounds, which are shared with grazing sheep in the summer, give a feeling of complete privacy. Here you can enjoy a unique sense of peace and quiet, as if over a hundred years of fond memories have settled into the log walls.
When the snow comes in winter, it is about a 100-200 meter walk to the cabin, as it is not possible to park right next to the cabin due to heavy snow.
From the cabin, you have easy access to all of Sjusjøen's activities. In winter, the Birkebeinerbakken ski slope is right nearby, while Sjusjøen Alpine Center and Hafjell offer greater challenges. In summer, a network of hiking and biking trails awaits, and the cozy town of Lillehammer is only a short drive away.
