Tucked into the jungle on a quiet road with complete privacy and a beautiful yard with green grass lawns all around surrounded by flowering trees, including bananas and oranges, and colourful tropical plants. Take advantage of the fruit smoothie stand a short walk from the house. The linens were all top notch. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking your own meals, although some guests might miss having a microwave. The house was really clean in spite of a couple of gecko visitors who chirped at night (we thought there was a bird in the house) and who left little reminders of their presence. Crissy, the manager, was very responsive to our needs, including helping us technology-handicapped guests through the TV and phone connection processes. It is best to shop for groceries in Kahului before going to Hana, although there are two expensive small grocery outlets in town. There are many food trucks, so lots of options for take-out. Be aware that the 30 miles to Hana is a two-hour drive on a very narrow road with lots of twists and turns and one-way bridges. The scenery and views are beautiful. If you want a quiet getaway in a truly tropical environment, we truly recommend this property.

Beautiful yard and home, peaceful and private. Nearby everything, yet secluded. Used the outdoor shower more than the indoor, and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware. My kids loved the lava tubes (within walking distance) and the area is lush and breathtaking. Property manager was fantastic giving information and helpful suggestions on what to do in the area.

This place did not disappoint. We were looking for a quiet retreat to enjoy the outdoors in Hana. The house is set back on a quiet street with many trees, some banana, orange, starfruit and avocado. There are many birds. There are going to be bugs outside that comes with being in the jungle. The inside is clean and has everything you would need. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Wow! What a beautiful and unique place to stay. The grounds were extensive and beautifully landscaped with a gorgeous variety of flowers and fruit trees dotting the estate. The home was very comfortable and clean. Excellent info and tips were available for local sightseeing which we much appreciated. The kitchen facilities lacked a much desired microwave but were otherwise wonderful with great outdoor eating spaces to enjoy. Highly recommend!

Located walking distance from the largest lava tube in Maui, this place is the perfect home base for exploring Hana! The manicured property grounds, the outdoor living space and the outdoor shower are just some of the highlights, and that’s before you set foot inside! The house itself is a very pleasant 2 bedroom bungalow with top notch mattresses, bed linens and kitchen amenities. I have already recommended this to some friends of mine who will be on the island in a few months.

This house is even better than the listing makes it look. Clean & comfortable with a huge beautiful yard. The outdoor patio is also great with comfortable furniture & everything you could possibly ask for. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a clean comfortable place to stay near Hana. We were very happy with everything and will definitely book this house again.

It was so wonderful to have a house and property to ourselves. The secluded feel of the location was lovely. The house is cozy and the kitchen utensils & pots/pans were clean and good quality. The A/C units worked well, but were a little loud since they are older units. Just bring and wear ear plugs if that bothers you. I brought mine and slept fine. Yes, you are in the rainforest so there are tiny bugs...but that is hard to prevent. That is what the gecko is for!

The house and its environment was even better than the photos suggested. Very quiet and private, with big plants all around, birds chirping, hardly any noise from ‚civilization“. Kitchen very well equipped, comfortable bed and everything impeccably clean. Wi-Fi worked well. Thanks for the advice to buy groceries in the Kahului area, choice in Hana is very limited. Hana is quite remote, but we loved this. And thanks for the coffee and the avocados.

Overall we had a great stay in Hana. It was so nice to be able to enjoy that side of the island without rushing to drive back. There were more than a few light bulbs out and a few geckos but would still recommend.

The house was clean and the property was so beautiful! The only downside was the geckos in the house. I didnt mind, but my mom was scared of them and had trouble sleeping as they were chirping in her room. But overall I'd recommend this place and id stay again if im ever in Hana!

Wonderful stay. Immaculate little home with everything you need. It was a little warm trying to sleep but the fans helped and it did cool down late at night. We really loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

I would give this home 10 stars. It was beautiful, comfortable and immaculately clean. It has a huge lanai and a gorgeous property surrounding it. There are so many different types of trees and all you hear are the sounds of nature. We enjoyed eating the cocunuts and star apples. It is truly paradise there, so peaceful. Everything was just perfect from check in to check out. I highly reccomend staying here.

This house feels remote but is close to everything in and near Hana. The grounds are beautiful, and the house is comfortable and well equipped. We saw a variety of birds, mongoose and geckos from the lanai/patio. It was a lovely place to sit mornings and evenings to plan and replay the day.

We loved our stay! The house is small, but 2 queen beds were great. There were some bugs, but you are in a rural area and expect we. It was great for exploring the sights and has a very relaxing outdoor space. We particularly loved the outdoor shower. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful, LARGE property . Cozy 2 bedroom home. Adequate kitchen. Probably 8-10 minute drive to Hana. Close to state park (get a reservation). Bring your own blue tooth speaker if you like having music on the porch. I will rent here again and would love to bring my mother to this property. The owners did a great job with this rental - a little sad to leave this morning :) 1 dad and 2 teenagers in our party

We had a wonderful stay. The house was as advertised regarding all amenities. Very clean, well maintained and well stocked. The only surprise was no microwave. Check in and out quite seamless. One of the better properties I've rented

Listing, pictures and info on the VRBO sight were enticing and accurate. The cottage is on a large lot just outside of Hana, proper. We were 1/4 mile away from the popular Hana farms pizza place and 1/4 mile off the "road to Hana". The property manger was helpful and responsive to a few questions we had prior to our arrival and we had no complaints or concerns whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Beautiful yard and home, peaceful and private. Nearby everything, yet secluded. Used the outdoor shower more than the indoor, and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware. My kids loved the lava tubes (within walking distance) and the area is lush and breathtaking. Property manager was fantastic giving information and helpful suggestions on what to do in the area.

Lucky you, is actually an understatement. This is a beautiful home with expansive covered porches and a very large beautifully landscaped yard with a jungle feel out back. There is a beautiful Banyon tree next to the side covered sitting area that is a must see. Beautiful, large Bamboo marks the entrance as you turn in the drive. The interior is extremely clean. Making the interior seem brand new. As are the exterior porches and sitting areas. There are two window units that will cool the house down perfectly. Comfortable and efficient furniture, kitchen, bedrooms and beds, bathrooms. You will feel right at home with the sit up. Nothing to complain about. All is well above average. Outstanding. The property is 3 or 4 minutes to the center of the town. But, has a pizza place(awesome vibe and pizza) as soon as you turn left on the Hana Hwy (which is just another 2 lane road..) There is a fruit box at the end of the driveway across street. Bring some dollar bills. It is on the honor system. Also, we were smart enough to lock ourselves out. The property manager answered our call and quickly rectified the situation.

We loved outdoor lounging, playing board games, and sharing meals on the lanai next to a gorgeous banyan tree. Location is wonderful. Have breakfast at Hana Bowls at the head of the road - run by great folks. Thank you to host for responsiveness and advice. We hope to return!

This little cottage was exactly what we were looking for in Hana—quiet, secluded, and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is astonishingly well-stocked; we never ate out once in Hana—we just cooked, which was terrific! Very comfy beds and lovely lounging outdoor areas. Communication with the host was terrific and everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend this gem!

The manager was extremely proactive about communicating, and was very understanding, which put us at ease on our first trip to that side of Maui. This house feels remote but is close to everything in and near Hana. The grounds are beautiful, and the house is comfortable and well equipped. We saw a variety of birds, mongoose and geckos from the lanai/patio. It was a lovely place to sit mornings and evenings to plan and replay the day.

Property was as advertised. Location was great for Hana activities. The road to Hana is an adventure so it was nice to stay local. The house was nice and had what we needed. The house is in the jungle, so there are bugs and geckos. I would recommend this house to others

Located walking distance from the largest lava tube in Maui, this place is the perfect home base for exploring Hana! The manicured property grounds, the outdoor living space and the outdoor shower are just some of the highlights, and that’s before you set foot inside! The house itself is a very pleasant 2 bedroom bungalow with top notch mattresses, bed linens and kitchen amenities. I have already recommended this to some friends of mine who will be on the island in a few months.

Bring your own blue tooth speaker if you like having music on the porch. I will rent here again and would love to bring my mother to this property. The owners did a great job with this rental - a little sad to leave this morning :) 1 dad and 2 teenagers in our party

Heavenly Hana couldn't be more aptly named. Tucked into a little jungle nook, this property was quiet, serene, and private. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with pots/pans, utensils, etc. and the outdoor seating on the patio was nice and relaxing. A short drive to Hana, Waiʻānapanapa State Park, or Kahanu Garden, National Tropical Botanical Garden and adjacent to a large Lava tube that was definitely worth exploring.We were very pleased with our stay here and would book again if ever in east Maui.

This is a physically beautiful place to stay. The landscaping is amazing. The house itself is lovely and makes use of outdoor spaces as well as indoor. For example, dining seating indoor is two stools at a counter, but outside on the patio there is both a table & 4 chairs and a picnic table on the patio. No bugs bothered us, so I greatly enjoyed the outdoor spaces. There is no microwave, but we managed to reheat leftovers with the oven. I did not try to do full cooking - way too busy for that! We loved being just down the street from Kahanu Garden and right beside the Lava Tube! We also drove to Haleakala National Park and hiked the Pipiwai trail - such beautiful scenery! I will caution anyone visiting Hana that this town is not highly developed, there are only 2 restaurants that serve food after 5PM, and even the 2 very small grocer stores are closed by 6PM. We ate at each of the 2 restaurants, and then had leftovers the other nights we ate dinner in our VRBO.

what a great idea to spend time in Hana before moving to a more touristy area on Maui! It allowed us to spend more time enjoying the “road to Hana” and we spent half a day hiking at Waianapanapa state park—which is gorgeous!! We love this VRBO situated in the Hana jungle with lush gigantic green flora and fauna all around. Both the inside and outside space are very comfortable and it was an easy walk for delish food at Hana farms roadside stand and pizza. After checking out we continued the loop around the east side of Maui instead of retracing our steps. It is a less-traveled portion with absolutely stunning views! Great communication with owner and property manager of this one of a kind VRBO!

The property is 3 or 4 minutes to the center of the town. But, has a pizza place(awesome vibe and pizza) as soon as you turn left on the Hana Hwy (which is just another 2 lane road..) There is a fruit box at the end of the driveway across street. Bring some dollar bills. It is on the honor system. Also, we were smart enough to lock ourselves out. The property manager answered our call and quickly rectified the situation.

We loved outdoor lounging, playing board games, and sharing meals on the lanai next to a gorgeous banyan tree. Location is wonderful. Have breakfast at Hana Bowls at the head of the road - run by great folks. Thank you to host for responsiveness and advice. We hope to return!

We have never been to Hāna and didn’t know what to expect. Home was as described and we had a wonderful time! Picked fruit from the yard, walked to the lava tube and enjoyed the local offerings. You must get pizza at the spot nearby and don’t forget your bug spray!

This little cottage was exactly what we were looking for in Hana—quiet, secluded, and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is astonishingly well-stocked; we never ate out once in Hana—we just cooked, which was terrific! Very comfy beds and lovely lounging outdoor areas. Communication with the host was terrific and everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend this gem!

My family of four (we have 2 kids in their 20s) stayed here for one night. It was amazing!!! The patios, the views, the peaceful atmosphere… all so relaxing! Everything was incredibly clean! The beds were so comfortable after a long, fun day on the RTH. The AC made our night very comfortable, especially since it poured all night and we didn’t want to risk water in the house. Our time on Maui only allowed us one night in Hana. But this would be a dream spot to get away from everything and just relax on the patio and read a few books for 3-4 days.If you’re unsure…don’t hesitate! I highly recommend this Hawaiian bungalow!
