Beautiful Hotel, one block from river walkway and great restaurants all around. Decor is super cool and well appointed in lobby and rooms. great fitness center and nice pool area. Rooms are smaller but comfortable with great beds, etc. Restaurant on site is great, along with rooftop and lobby bar. A great place to hang.....

I decided to stay at this hotel while traveling to Savannah because they listed that they have a pool. What they don't tell you is that it is a 1'-3' pool, not one you can actually swim in. I found the hotel to be a bit noisy at night with the nearby rooftop bars as well as some guests on our floor. On a good note the hotel is very clean and modern and employees are friendly. I had dinner at their restaurant which was very good. They have no shower-caps, robes or extras in the bathroom just large bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower and body lotion on the counter. There was no coffee pot in the room and they do not offer any complimentary breakfast only coffee to go and some squished granola bars. I would not return to this hotel in the future, not worth the price.

Bar was the worst. Handed my check and asked for a tip before I received my drink or meal. Server barely looked at me and clearly wasn’t happy to be there. The room was nice and location close to lots of shopping and dining. Gym was convienent and well equipped. I’m not sure I would stay there again but if I do - I would not eat or drink there again.

Great hotel. Dog friendly but very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Valet was expensive but not unlike any other hotels in the area. My only area of complaint is the resort fee. There are some amenities that come with it - like drink tickets for each night. For example, you get $30 for drinks each night per room. Resort fee is $30/ni. But if you’re out most of the day, you don’t get to take advantage of them, which the hotel knows. So they’re just pocketing your money and you get nothing out of it. It’s not like this is an ACTUAL resort, where most people come and only stay in the resort. This is a hotel. I’d bet most leave during all or part of the day. A forced “resort fee” is ridiculous and is the only thing that would keep me from booking here again.

I love this hotel. The first time we stayed in 2024 set the bar so that has a lot to do with us being a little disappointed with our accommodations and stay this time. Our room was laid out so strangely that it felt cramped. It was the same type room we booked last time, prior to check in I noticed our room had switched to pool view. I called the hotel and they said that was an upgrade. I would rather have a city view as I booked and asked if there was really a difference in the room and they said no. I now understand why they tried to switch us as I’m sure many guests would complain about the room we stayed in due to the lack of space. The city view was also dismal compared to the first time when we had a great city view and partial river view - this time it was a tiny side street where you could see the building next door… I wouldn’t really consider that a city view. We also found it frustrating that one of the main draws of the hotel are the bars and outdoor spaces that go with said bars; however each night one of the two was closed off for a private party. You shouldn’t include this in your hotel appeal without mentioning that it may be closed during the guests stay. It seems really greedy that the hotel takes away for the guest experience to make more money! All in all we may stay here again as the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.

The Restaurant and the restaurant staff was the best part of our stay. Bar staff on main floor was very rude and we never used our free drink cards because of it. Upstairs Roof top was ok but nothing spectacular. For the price you would definitely expect more. Pool is very small, not enough room for guests, rooms are small, just not the WOW factor you would expect ! Very disappointed for choosing this one for our anniversary stay.

I love this hotel and the area. The pool is small and could definitely have been way bigger and at least go to 5ft . However that doesn’t take away from the wonderful experience. Food at the hotel is delicious and the staff is amazing. Hotel is right on river street as well. Enjoyed everything

Rooftop bar was not available 2 of the 3 nights due to private parties. Should have been offered other perks or discounts. I booked because of the rooftop. Otherwise, a decent stay for $ 400 per night.

I booked a room with a soaking tub and got a room with a shower. The wooden floor was sticky, the bathroom had a gray rubbery tile, weird layout very small, the toilet made a weird flushing sound for minutes after a flush, the floor in the bathroom was cracked around the base boards. The sitting area cushions were stained. The ceiling and fixtures where dusty. started to take a pictures and post it. However, I saw other rooms being cleaned looked spacious and beautiful. The hotel cut corners on this room. I'm in the travel business and have stayed at all the upscale properties in the area. This is the first one I did not not enjoy. Made the most out of our stay, and we checked out early. The staff was polite. However I left my silk suit dress hanging in the closet. I called and ask could they bring it to the front desk. I advised the front desk I just called and spoke to someone pertaining to an item left hanging in the closet. The clerk said one moment then I look behind the counter and saw a black silk item to find out that was my suit jacket style dress balled up. The roof top bartenders are friendly. We went to the JW Marriot for father's day dinner and breakfast, JW Marriot is next to the Alida. I love the complimentary plastic bottles and water stations at The Alida. The shower gel and lotion are amazing. Me and my husband just ended up getting a terrible room.

This is my third year staying at the property. It's a beautiful building in a prime location, but the rooms were in a sad state. We switched rooms after the first room had a horrendous musty smell (and a clogged bathroom sink and curtains that had been pulled down from the rod). We ran into a couple later that evening that said they also had to switch rooms because of the smell in their room. Kudos to the front desk staff for quickly finding a replacement room for us, but even that room had a poorly cleaned bathroom, including with hairs on the ledge of the sink... Bear in mind, both of these rooms were suites so it's concerning to think what level of attention the other rooms were getting.

We liked the water taps and refillable bottles the hotel provided. Nice beds and pillows, room was comfortable. We liked having a fridge drawer for drinks. We also liked the rooftop bar and lobby bar but drinks were overpriced. The TV didn’t work and needed to be reset. The shower door was warped and didn’t fully close. There was men’s hair from a shaver on the bathroom ledge. But overall it was a nice boutique hotel.

Rude front desk staff. Asked for upgrade and was refused. Put in a dark room and had to ask for a lighter room. Curtains were filthy. The air was wet and musty. Furniture in lobby and bar areas were heavily stained. A run down hotel that might have been lovely if kept up.

Loved the location right on the river. Easy to walk to Historic District. Lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is well designed, modern. Our two king beds room was spacious, lots of storage. Bathroom was luxurious with wonderful smelling bath wash and lotion. Lots of little details, like Alida water bottles given to you at check-in and the water stations with a choice filtered, cold-filtered and sparkling water. Plenty of pillows on the beds. Well lit hallways. Lobby had plenty of seating areas. Valet parking is expensive but not unusual for a city hotel.

A very nice property located close to the river and walkable to the historical district. Beware, there are no rooms with a great view as the hotel is boxed in and views(if you can call them that) are limited. The 30.00 a day "resort fee" is ridiculous and should immediately be eliminated. You can only use this as a credit in the lobby bar(no where else at the property). In doing further research, no other upscale hotel in the area does this, including the other Marriott properties. I don't like to be forced to spend money that I would spend anyway at a hotel. If they insist on keeping it, let your guests use it anywhere on the property; not just at the bar.

Beware, there are no rooms with a great view as the hotel is boxed in and views(if you can call them that) are limited. This hotel was a real disappointment. Very expensive…$300+ for a small room with a king bed, no coffee maker or microwave. Literally no view…the window was covered with slats on the outside…denying us a wonderful look at the roof-top HVAC units. Valet parking (no self parking) was $51…not $50, not $55, but $51 a night. Go figure. Did I mentioned the $30-a-night resort fee? I guess that was for the wonderful pool…that had a 3-foot DEEP end. “No Diving”…no kidding. Good location. Nice looking restaurant. Not planning to return.

Everything at the alida from start to finish was excellent. The only comment I have was regarding the walls being pretty thin, you can hear doors slamming from across the hall and the bathroom sink makes a very loud noise when you run the water. Regardless, we had a wonderful 3 night experience here and would definitely stay again.

I love this hotel. The first time we stayed in 2024 set the bar so that has a lot to do with us being a little disappointed with our accommodations and stay this time. Our room was laid out so strangely that it felt cramped. It was the same type room we booked last time, prior to check in I noticed our room had switched to pool view. I called the hotel and they said that was an upgrade. I would rather have a city view as I booked and asked if there was really a difference in the room and they said no. I now understand why they tried to switch us as I’m sure many guests would complain about the room we stayed in due to the lack of space. The city view was also dismal compared to the first time when we had a great city view and partial river view - this time it was a tiny side street where you could see the building next door… I wouldn’t really consider that a city view. We also found it frustrating that one of the main draws of the hotel are the bars and outdoor spaces that go with said bars; however each night one of the two was closed off for a private party. You shouldn’t include this in your hotel appeal without mentioning that it may be closed during the guests stay. It seems really greedy that the hotel takes away for the guest experience to make more money! All in all we may stay here again as the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.

The rooms were nice, bathrooms clean with good products. Pool area was busy but still able to find seats. All staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Only downside to our room was that we were under the rooftop bar so could hear the thumping music at night. We had a white noise machine which helped out a lot.

Beautiful property with great amenities. Excellent location..wonderful, helpful staff @ front desk...Most bartenders were friendly and attentive...my favorites were Melvin, Jack & Emily; they made me feel comfortable and welcome as a solo traveler. I will definitely be back!!

This was our first stay at The Alida, but certainly won’t be the last. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to be accommodating, and full of knowledge, and warm personalities. Record player in the room was solid! The room itself was very comfortable and well appointed. The shower pressure could have been better; but if that’s the only minor inconvenience…then so be it. On site dining and cocktails, top tier. Location, on point. We will absolutely be back. Cheers

Bar was the worst. Handed my check and asked for a tip before I received my drink or meal. Server barely looked at me and clearly wasn’t happy to be there. The room was nice and location close to lots of shopping and dining. Gym was convienent and well equipped. I’m not sure I would stay there again but if I do - I would not eat or drink there again.

The location is great, but check in a little wanting. We arrived early, but were told if we wanted to check in early there was a fee. This is the off season and the front desk should have made it easy for us without wanted extra fees. When asked if we could leave bags, they should have arranged, not us waiting for the valet which was very busy. In addition, when we tried to arrange a taxi back to airport, they gave us numbers to call. The rooftop bar was very nice, but only open at 4:00 PM. No options for having coffee early AM and enjoying the view.

Stayed here for a last minute Labor Day trip!! The hotel and staff beyond exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return. We spent most of our visit hanging out by the pool and enjoying cocktails during the afternoon. The bartender was super fun and gave us great recommendations for the evening we had ahead of us!! Can’t wait for our next visit.

Rude front desk staff. Asked for upgrade and was refused. Put in a dark room and had to ask for a lighter room. Curtains were filthy. The air was wet and musty. Furniture in lobby and bar areas were heavily stained. A run down hotel that might have been lovely if kept up.

Loved the location right on the river. Easy to walk to Historic District. Lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is well designed, modern. Our two king beds room was spacious, lots of storage. Bathroom was luxurious with wonderful smelling bath wash and lotion. Lots of little details, like Alida water bottles given to you at check-in and the water stations with a choice filtered, cold-filtered and sparkling water. Plenty of pillows on the beds. Well lit hallways. Lobby had plenty of seating areas. Valet parking is expensive but not unusual for a city hotel.

Definitely not worth the boutique price. Location is awkward. Not much of a view since the hotel is sandwiched in between buildings. There are many better hotels for the boutique price in the area. Check in was disorganized and not thorough. Had to go back down a couple times. Had to call maintenance since ac wasn’t blowing cold. Valet is one of the highest in the area at $51 plus tax so like $54 each car.

The Alida was in a perfect location to walk to area attractions; River Street, Broughton Street for shopping, City Market, Forsyth Park, many restaurants & bars. It was nice to have an elevator to get down to the Savannah River District as my husband had a hard time with stairs. Rooms were adequate & cleaned every day. The happy hour every day was nice with champagne & delicious cookies. There is a $35.00 resort fee for every day you stay but you get an $18.00 food/beverage ticket to use at their bar. You can’t go wrong if you stay at The Alida.

I didn’t like how I had to walk from the first to second floor to get water and ice for there to be no ice, have someone that doesn’t speak English tell me they will bring ice to my room, and they never did. I also didn’t like how at the pool we never got served and I had to walk up to the bar to order and wait at least 30 minutes for two dips just for them with two drinks to come out to $76. I also didn’t like how at the rooftop bar we ordered two drinks and our waitress left us mid order with no one to take her place just for us to flag someone else down to bring us a check. It was overall a nice time for us, but this trip definitely had its moments at the hotel that sometimes made the trip not fun.

Loved this hotel. It felt very clean, the staff was extra nice. The bar off the lobby had great drinks. The only issue I had was the bathroom door in our room got stuck open a few times, but other than that I would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly, and expedient. Really great location, and the hotel is so stylish and cool. Melding new with old in the best of ways. We liked the water taps and refillable bottles the hotel provided. Nice beds and pillows, room was comfortable. We liked having a fridge drawer for drinks. We also liked the rooftop bar and lobby bar but drinks were overpriced. The TV didn’t work and needed to be reset. The shower door was warped and didn’t fully close. There was men’s hair from a shaver on the bathroom ledge. But overall it was a nice boutique hotel.

We spent most of our visit hanging out by the pool and enjoying cocktails during the afternoon. The bartender was super fun and gave us great recommendations for the evening we had ahead of us!! Can’t wait for our next visit.

The Alida was in a perfect location to walk to area attractions; River Street, Broughton Street for shopping, City Market, Forsyth Park, many restaurants & bars. It was nice to have an elevator to get down to the Savannah River District as my husband had a hard time with stairs. Rooms were adequate & cleaned every day. The happy hour every day was nice with champagne & delicious cookies. There is a $35.00 resort fee for every day you stay but you get an $18.00 food/beverage ticket to use at their bar. You can’t go wrong if you stay at The Alida.

Loved the rooftop bar, the room was great, especially the window seat for reading. Staff was so polite, energetic and helpful!

Everything was great!! We were treated so well! The room was so nice. The staff was great! We used the pool, the rooftop bar etc. I definitely recommend this hotel!!

Love this place. It was in an amazing location and we could walk to a ton of stuff, food entertainment, roof top bars, boat rides, ghost tours, trolley rides, breweries, distilleries…etc. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
