Basic inn, good value though. Stayed as over night stop en route off M1 heading north west. Bar and dinner very good. Room small, basic toiletries (bring your own). Lovely breakfast included in room price. Plenty of free parking.

What a fantastic place. If you are going to Silverstone you won’t get a better place to stay. Secure parking at the back of the pub for your bike, ten minutes from the circuit and super friendly staff. The food was excellent, best I’ve eaten in years of travel around the World let alone the UK. A gem of a place.

Comfortable room with smart newly refurbished bathroom. Nice bar and breakfast was good. My room was at the front nearest the main rail line, though the sound of passing trains was pretty much constant it wasn't too disturbing. Would certainly stay here again anyway.

Surprised vaping was allowed at the Bar in total disregard of the law. Breakfast was minimal, sausage (one) was undercooked and bacon (one rasher) more fat than meat. Half a mushroom, a tablespoon of beans and a greasy hash-brown completed the meal. The Buffet for the Wake was also very poor standard considering the cost of the accommodation. Overall very disappointed.

Good location, staff friendly and very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Our only issue was the live band in the bar that we weren’t told about when checking in and our room was right above it. Loud music until late!

What a gem! We are walking the Grand Union Canal and this hotel is just off the canal. A beautiful old building with so much character. The staff were very welcoming. The bar and restaurant very good. Could not fault the cleanliness. Food including brakfast was yummy. Railway line opposite but even though we had a room at the front of the hotel, it was not a problem.Did not hear any trains over night. Thank you x

Booked The Walnut Grove as a one night stay while visiting the area for a family funeral. The location was nice and close by the venue . Our room was spacious and clean and the breakfast very good. The staff were friendly and polite. Would stay again should we return to the area.

The stay was flawless. Excellent sized rooms for a couple and child. Loads of space and very clean. Had a meal there as well and it was delicious. Breakfast as also superb. Staff were inviting and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

The Walnut is a lovely hotel and restaurant. My room, while clean and tidy, was really small and lacked, what I call, basic amenities. ie wardrobe, table etc. Would I recommend the Walnut? Yes, of course. But don't pick the single room.

Room had very thin curtains which meant as soon as the sun was up you were up. Uneven floorboards under the carpet and a saniflower system. Also breakfast hmmm is all I can say. I’m Ok place if cost was cheaper.

The Walnut Tree Inn is a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the large, tastefully furnished, room and bathroom and the food in the bar was very good. The two negative points would be the train noise every 15-30 until late into the evening and the sink in the bathroom was too shallow to actually wash in.

Friendly place and lovely setting. A good location for us. Food was gorgeous and really reasonable. Lovely breakfast. Staff were really helpful and chatty. Great value for money! Only down side was there was no lift. Stairs a little steep - I travelled with my mum who is in her 80’s and she found the stairs a little hard.

The hotel is let down by the fact that the railway line is literally across the road. The bed literally shook when the trains ran over the track. Light sleepers will struggle as you can hear the trains clear as day. The hotel itself, including service, was spot on but location and sound proofing is awful. Not sure if this is listed on the booking and my booking was last minute, so could have missed it

Comfortable room for 2 adults and 2 children which met our expectations. Unfortunately we arrived late and left early so it was only a brief visit but what we did experience (bar, bed and breakfast) was all very good! In fact breakfast was very, very good!! It was a shame we missed the restaurant as the menu looked delicious, the staff at the hotel suggested alternatives (local pizza delivery service) but at that stage after a long drive we were just happy to have a drink and some bar snacks (crisps) before getting an early(ish) night for the following days!

Comfortable room for 2 adults and 2 children which met our expectations. Unfortunately we arrived late and left early so it was only a brief visit but what we did experience (bar, bed and breakfast) was all very good! In fact breakfast was very, very good!! It was a shame we missed the restaurant as the menu looked delicious, the staff at the hotel suggested alternatives (local pizza delivery service) but at that stage after a long drive we were just happy to have a drink and some bar snacks (crisps) before getting an early(ish) night for the following days!

Great family run pub and Inn. Excellent service and the food was very good. All cooked from scratch and even the ice cream and sorbet were home made.

What a fantastic place. If you are going to Silverstone you won’t get a better place to stay. Secure parking at the back of the pub for your bike, ten minutes from the circuit and super friendly staff. The food was excellent, best I’ve eaten in years of travel around the World let alone the UK. A gem of a place.

Surprised vaping was allowed at the Bar in total disregard of the law. Breakfast was minimal, sausage (one) was undercooked and bacon (one rasher) more fat than meat. Half a mushroom, a tablespoon of beans and a greasy hash-brown completed the meal. The Buffet for the Wake was also very poor standard considering the cost of the accommodation. Overall very disappointed.

The stay was flawless. Excellent sized rooms for a couple and child. Loads of space and very clean. Had a meal there as well and it was delicious. Breakfast as also superb. Staff were inviting and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

This was a brilliant overnight stop off. We arrived in the evening and were told what time last orders for dinner would be. Ordered a fabulous veggie pizza which when it turned up was huge - delicious - and thoroughly enjoyed! Beer was good and the bar staff chatty and friendly. We had a family room for 2 of us - loads of space and beds were comfy. There was a heat wave so fans were provided - thoroughly appreciated! The booking included breakfast - what a delight the lady taking orders was! Fun, friendly and chatty! I had a vegetarian breakfast and soy milk - all no issue. (As a veggie it’s a delight to have a decent veggie alternative) others in our party ordered the traditional option and said how nice it was. Breakfast wasn’t rushed and we had a lovely leisurely chatty start to the day. The beer garden looked great - we arrived too late to enjoy it sadly - next time we will arrive earlier. Recommended and would definitely stay here again!

Average hotel, pricey but expected for F1 weekend. Expensive food and not a lot of choice, also not very flavourful. Some staff not helpful but cleaners and a gentleman didn’t quite catch his name were wonderful. Mattress was very very soft so kept falling in the middle Next to train line so noisy and shower tray likes to flood until turned off. Average, done the job for the weekend but wouldn’t stay again ☺️
