Beautiful peaceful location with country walks from the village. Cottage very well equipped and comfortable. The very many games, books and DVDs in the cupboard in the lounge were a delight for my boys.

A great cosy little cottage. Our family of 5 and 2 dogs really enjoyed the log burner fire and long muddy dog walks nearby. Good amenities inside the cottage.

A very comfortable, well-equipped, nicely furnished cottage in a lovely location. We could walk from the door and the coast and moors were only a short drive away. Paula and Chris were very easy to communicate with and did everything they could to make sure that our stay went well. The cottage has an excellent range of DVDs and games (including Ticket to Ride, which we LOVE) and the sitting room was spacious and relaxing. Almost wished it had been colder to give us an excuse to use the woodburner! The beds were very comfortable. There is a steep staircase in the cottage, but my 89-year old mother managed it fine with the help of the sturdy bannisters. There are, however, steps outside that could be tricky for people with reduced mobility. The little courtyard with patio furniture was a lovely, peaceful suntrap to sit out in for a cup of tea.

A lovely comfortable cottage where opposites gel together to make it work really well, set in a pleasant and peaceful village. Obviously the building is very old yet the modern furniture and fittings blend into it extremely well and the bath/shower - well, fantastic! The rooms are spacious yet cosy and warm. The outside garden and patio were a pleasant surprise and the lawned area next to the parking area is a bonus. Beware if it is wet and you intend to walk around on the village footpaths as you will need boots since just a little rain produces a lot of orange/red mud!

Second time there...just great. If I have one very miniscule gripe it would be to provide more wood for the first night not three logs in total, but it is minor like I mentioned. Will stay again for sure.

A spacious cottage, super quiet, in a great location for both Exmoor and the coast. Gets warm and cosy with the woodburner lit, thanks for the starter pack of logs and kindling. The shower is good and makes for a perfect start to the day. It's a real plus having walks and the Notley Arms on the doorstep - both highly recommended.

The location was brilliant for walks with the children and dogs. Lots of tourist attractions nearby and the cottage was well equipped with books, games and DVD’s in case of a wet day!

It is a very cosy , good sized cottage situated in a lovely quiet hamlet with a choice of country walks from the door. It was convenient for exploring the coast and moors and other places of interest. We enjoyed our stay but the courtyard area really needs updating

A lovely spacious, characterful and cosy cottage. Nice, large sitting room, with very comfortable settees, a good selection of games, dvds and books, as well as a good HD television. We did not use the log burner, as the electric room heater was perfectly adequate. The beds are extremely comfortable and it was nice to have a good quality power shower in the bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. The cottage nestles in a small cul-de-sac, just off the road through the centre of the village. It is a lovely peaceful spot. It is ideally situated for walking in the Quantocks and the eastern end of Exmoor, as well as having easy access to the coast at Minehead. There is no shop in the village but there are small supermarkets and other shops at Williton (3 miles) and three major supermarkets in Minehead. It was nice to arrive to a welcome pack of a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. We would highly recommend the Old Malthouse.

Lovely building and nice place to stay. Surroundings lovely and peaceful. The cleanliness was not great, kitchen looked clean but on closer inspection was dirty for example i used a wipe to wipe the kitchen top and it was a dirty brown colour, the kettle had not been emptied and there was a puddle of water in the bottom of the fridge. The bin in the bathroom had not been emptied. Having said all of this once we had cleaned the kitchen, we had a lovely holiday and the beds were comfortable.

Our stay was for 8 days in November which we enjoyed immensely. Cottage was clean and warm. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Did have to pull the shower door in an inch or two so water dripped into the bathtub instead of under the seal and onto the floor. Nice quiet location – we all slept well. The Notley Arms pub was just a short walk away where we enjoyed a few pints. The atmosphere was great and the staff friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The house was beautifully presented with clear “how to” instructions both before and during our visit. There is so much to do in the area but you do need a car. Tesco deliver to the door, which was very useful (it meant we didn’t need to factor in a supermarket trip) although we did need to give the driver directions from the pub. Surprisingly he could get the van up Pond Lane so that was a bonus!

Had a great Christmas, the cottage was lovely, clean and very well equipped with everything you needed. The location was ideal as my husband had just came out of hospital, and the local Notley arms pub/restaurant was 2 minutes walk away, such a lovely little village. Will definitely be rebooking, as will our daughters family who was also with us. So close to lots of attractions.

The Old Malthouse had everything you could ask for. Having the woodburner a light made it even more special. The Notley Arms is a must for food and drink. You will need to phone to make sure they are open, but it is worth the wait. Would I book the cottage again......YES I WOULD.

Lovely character cottage (sloping floors, walls, and a (low) thick beam in the kitchen ... only hit my head twice on it! 🤣). Great location for exploring Minehead, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills. Rooms all comfortable. Property description mentions steep staircase to first floor, and it is steep (only 9 steps to get from ground floor to first floor) but my elderly mother coped with them okay, as did my 11 year old nephew who’d broken two of his toes the week before! It has a good, sturdy handrail to grab on to. Lots of footpaths right from the cottage door worth exploring.

Had a really comfortable week at the Old Malthouse - allowing us to get together with our adult children and take long walks along the coast at Kilve, on Exmoor (Dunkery Beacon) and having a good explore of Dunster and Dunster castle. The house is very comfortable, a good kitchen for cooking and eating in , comfortable sofas in the large lounge and plenty of hot water for showers. Looking forward to returning some time in the future.

We stayed in the cottage as a family of 5. We found it to be a very peaceful location and the lounge and bedrooms were comfortable-great for a good night’s sleep! We made good use of the games and DVDs for the kids in the evenings or on wet days, so these were an unexpected bonus. We visited several areas within 30-60 mins drive from the cottage.

Comfortable living room, well-equipped kitchen, good beds, good shower -- this place gets all the basics right. As a bonus it is a lovely old building with bags of character just behind a great pub and right on the Coleridge Way 8-)

Lovely character cottage (sloping floors, walls, and a (low) thick beam in the kitchen ... only hit my head twice on it! 🤣). Great location for exploring Minehead, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills. Rooms all comfortable. Property description mentions steep staircase to first floor, and it is steep (only 9 steps to get from ground floor to first floor) but my elderly mother coped with them okay, as did my 11 year old nephew who’d broken two of his toes the week before! It has a good, sturdy handrail to grab on to. Lots of footpaths right from the cottage door worth exploring.

Our stay was for 8 days in November which we enjoyed immensely. Cottage was clean and warm. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Did have to pull the shower door in an inch or two so water dripped into the bathtub instead of under the seal and onto the floor. Nice quiet location – we all slept well. The Notley Arms pub was just a short walk away where we enjoyed a few pints. The atmosphere was great and the staff friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Had a great Christmas, the cottage was lovely, clean and very well equipped with everything you needed. The location was ideal as my husband had just came out of hospital, and the local Notley arms pub/restaurant was 2 minutes walk away, such a lovely little village. Will definitely be rebooking, as will our daughters family who was also with us. So close to lots of attractions.

A spacious cottage, super quiet, in a great location for both Exmoor and the coast. Gets warm and cosy with the woodburner lit, thanks for the starter pack of logs and kindling. The shower is good and makes for a perfect start to the day. It's a real plus having walks and the Notley Arms on the doorstep - both highly recommended.

It is a very cosy , good sized cottage situated in a lovely quiet hamlet with a choice of country walks from the door. It was convenient for exploring the coast and moors and other places of interest. We enjoyed our stay but the courtyard area really needs updating

A lovely spacious, characterful and cosy cottage. Nice, large sitting room, with very comfortable settees, a good selection of games, dvds and books, as well as a good HD television. We did not use the log burner, as the electric room heater was perfectly adequate. The beds are extremely comfortable and it was nice to have a good quality power shower in the bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. The cottage nestles in a small cul-de-sac, just off the road through the centre of the village. It is a lovely peaceful spot. It is ideally situated for walking in the Quantocks and the eastern end of Exmoor, as well as having easy access to the coast at Minehead. There is no shop in the village but there are small supermarkets and other shops at Williton (3 miles) and three major supermarkets in Minehead. It was nice to arrive to a welcome pack of a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. We would highly recommend the Old Malthouse.

Really enjoyed our stay,so peaceful and relaxing. We were out every day and the weather was really kind to us considering it was January. The notley arms pub was literally a 30 second walk away which served great food,and Caroline and Simon were great hosts. On the whole was a lovely location and cottage. Would love to know a bit more history about the cottage and village.

We never met the host they contacted us by text, the area where the house was is lovely but the place its self was in need of a good clean and update on eveything curtains were hanging of some were thread bare carpets need replacing to be truthfull the whole house wants a good decorating.
