Historic Hotel Bethlehem

Very upscale and adorable hotel in a fantastic location.

Everyone should at least stay at these old world places at least once. We did not get a chance to use the Tap Room or any of the amenities at the hotel since it was Mother's day but once everyone went home, we got a chance to sit in the lobby and take in the grandness of it all. We stayed in 628 and the bathroom was run downed with a cracked sink, peeling paint, and a cracked seat in the shower. The room was better and well appointed. I was wondering if you get this type of room when you use a third party reservation place like Hotels.com.

Okay so first You will NEVER be treated better Staff throughout the entire hotel could not do enough to please Now try to get an inside room so that street noise doesn’t bother you It’s important to remember that this Hotel is well over 100 years old and so Keeping things authentic and accommodating everyone is a tall order. We will definitely be going back!

This hotel has a monopoly given its location. The staff is one of the nicest, in particular the guys outside helping with parking and luggage. However, the hotel needs a makeover. The rooms are tiny, in doubles no queen beds but full. The gym is pathetic (the main machine is missing handles so it is almost useless). Dinner food was ok to good, red wine was bad. But again, helpful and lovely staff.

A throwback to the classic Hollywood hotels seen only in 1940s & 1950s movies, with gorgeous dining rooms & ballrooms, spacious rooms tastefully furnished with antiques, a staff eager to help, a British pub-like bar, mixologists moonlighting as bartenders with stories to tell, and wall of photographs highlighting the many rich & famous guests. And the best room service breakfast in bed at a reasonable price.
