This property is located on the south end of Door county. The view is gorgeous and it is off a very private road and the neighbors were quiet and respectful of one another. The screened porch was a lovely place to hang out, the kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms have nice charging ports and the outdoor area is a pleasant oasis. The owner was very responsive to questions. Things to know...cell service and internet is spotty, you are getting away. Plan on games or puzzles or other ways to relax in the evening. The shower is small. Also, while there are kayaks, you will have to get them down some rocks to put in the water- but when you do the water is clear and gorgeous, worth the effort! Overall I would highly recommend this property.

This property is really in a great location and we loved being right by the lake. The home itself was great as far as space went- little short on closet space. We spent much time in the family room. Beautiful views of lake. We however had concerns about some issues like very dirty garbage can in living area-had to bleach it to get rid of smell, bathroom sick was clogged, outdoor grills were both so rusted and dirty that we couldn’t use either. Fire pit was also dirty. When we arrived at home we had to sanitize all the utensils- per notice on refrigerator. So these issues really put a damper on our stay.

We enjoyed listening to the waves from the 3-seasons room and sitting out in the beautiful yard. The adventure shed was a nice touch with fun things to explore. House was clean and had everything we needed for a nice stay. Lovely property!

This hidden place was so amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. They had easy to access kayaks, life jackets, and the bikes, you name it they had it. I am interested to see what the other little gems they have to offer are like. It was clean had many amenities for us guest. The BUGS were the only things that were annoying but doable. Wow! We loved the privacy and the amazing view of Lake Michigan. It almost felt like we were on our own island. We sat out every morning drank our coffee and watched the waves roll in. We took advantage of the binocular's and would watch these far away boats on the horizon. Our first steps into the house we knew we would have nothing to worry about. It was clean and had a open feeling to it. Nicely decorated also! We both took advantage of the room with all the dvd's and games. We did peek into the adventure shed and holy cow ! Everything you need for an adventure it was in there. The host was very easy to get in contact with. There also a binder filled with anything you need to know about the cottage on the table. .

The place is beautiful and the Lake Michigan view is perfect. Very nice and peaceful place to spend time with family. Host is very clear with instructions and was very responsive. Tons of great sports equipment and games. Bicycles are amazing and lots of variety from small to adults sizes. Great time!

These are observations not complaints, but had we known it may have influenced our decision.1. We mainly chose this property for the use of kayak and canoe. There is no safe way to bring these down to the water or back up. But everything you need to enjoy them is here.2. This a a fabulous place for dogs, very accommodating. If you are not a dog person know ahead of time that the furniture in the sun room smells like dog. There was dog fur on the comforters, again not a complaint it is just we are not dog people. In the description it tells you that you can have dogs so this should not have been a surprise. This home is very clean, these are just things that happen when you host fur babies.3. There are plastic covers on the mattress. I have never experienced that at a VRBO before, just weird, not a complaint. The view is amazing and that is what we enjoyed. I am not sure I would stay here again at the rate we paid knowing what we know now, but it was a holiday weekend and options were limited. Host was very nice and answers super quick. There are MANY DVD's to use which is great because the Internet is so spotty we could not use our laptops for Netflix.

This property is very clean with several outside areas, including a modern playground. We had a very nice time with great views of the lake. The three season porch was used often since we managed to visit at lake/may fly time (they don't bite, but do swarm). We look forward to visiting again in October.

The view of Lake Michigan was amazing! The layout of the backyard was great however it was awfully dangerous to take out the canoe over the retaining wall of rocks. Unfortunately, the backyard was not kept and though we appreciated welcoming our dog to the cottage, it was not relaxing since my dog kept finding trash throughout the yard. There was also a bad odor outside like maybe there was a dead animal so we couldn’t really enjoy sitting outside. The inside of the cabin did not feel very clean either. It was very obvious that many dogs stayed at the cabin in the past. We basically drove an hour or more a day to get to some incredible hikes of Door County and loved all the State Parks especially Peninsula State Park.

It was a very peaceful stay at the lakeshore - just you, sound of waves and flying birds! So relaxing for the soul! The house is immatucular: very clean and very well equipped and supplied! The place where you want to come back!

We loved each detail of the cabin, from the entrance to the woods to the beautiful and peaceful view of Michigan Lake. We arrived on a rainy cold day, but our time there as we celebrated my birthday felt like a unique experience. We enjoyed the simple design of the space, cozy yet truly ample, the modern well-stack kitchen and warm bedrooms made it also a home, the internet worked perfectly, and from the windows, a gorgeous and endless view of trees and waves that turned into a shimmering landscape with the sun. We spent time inside and outside, we kept warm in front of the fireplace having our dinners and family/board games with our teen daughter who loved the stay and hopes to come back to use the kayak and canoe! "Live life simply," the sign said: a perfect birthday gift for body and soul! Thank you again!

I first want to say that, overall, this was exactly what wife my and I needed and expected. that being said, this is obviously a 1950's-ish lakeside house. The host has done a lot of good work in doing some updates, but...if you are looking for pure luxury and space...this isn't for you. Then again, if you are renting this for that...you're missing out...because the highlights are the very secluded, private location and the spectacular view. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect home base for our Door County getaway. This home had everything we needed. Waking up to a vast sunrise and the sound of gentle waves breaking on the rocky shoreline was an amazing start to the day! I would definitely stay here again.

There are plastic covers on the mattress. I have never experienced that at a VRBO before, just weird, not a complaint. The view is amazing and that is what we enjoyed. I am not sure I would stay here again at the rate we paid knowing what we know now, but it was a holiday weekend and options were limited. Host was very nice and answers super quick. There are MANY DVD's to use which is great because the Internet is so spotty we could not use our laptops for Netflix.

This property is very clean with several outside areas, including a modern playground. We had a very nice time with great views of the lake. The three season porch was used often since we managed to visit at lake/may fly time (they don't bite, but do swarm). We look forward to visiting again in October.

This property is located on the south end of Door county. The view is gorgeous and it is off a very private road and the neighbors were quiet and respectful of one another. The screened porch was a lovely place to hang out, the kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms have nice charging ports and the outdoor area is a pleasant oasis. The owner was very responsive to questions. Things to know...cell service and internet is spotty, you are getting away. Plan on games or puzzles or other ways to relax in the evening. The shower is small. Also, while there are kayaks, you will have to get them down some rocks to put in the water- but when you do the water is clear and gorgeous, worth the effort! Overall I would highly recommend this property.

Wow! We loved the privacy and the amazing view of Lake Michigan. It almost felt like we were on our own island. We sat out every morning drank our coffee and watched the waves roll in. We took advantage of the binocular's and would watch these far away boats on the horizon. Our first steps into the house we knew we would have nothing to worry about. It was clean and had a open feeling to it. Nicely decorated also! We both took advantage of the room with all the dvd's and games. We did peek into the adventure shed and holy cow ! Everything you need for an adventure it was in there. The host was very easy to get in contact with. There also a binder filled with anything you need to know about the cottage on the table. .

Loved Hidden Shores Cottage. It is a great place to go on vacation,enjoy the quiet,, have a cup a coffee and just take in Lake Michigan. The cottage was furnished with much more than we expected so we did not have to bring everything we did. Even my corgi was relaxed and enjoyed being able to roll his favorite ball around. What we didn't expect was a bad storm that knocked out the power for a few hours and the terrential rain that came with the storm. After we were able to get a hold of Emily she kept in contact with us to make sure everything was ok. Until next time....your adventure awaits!

The place is beautiful and the Lake Michigan view is perfect. Very nice and peaceful place to spend time with family. Host is very clear with instructions and was very responsive. Tons of great sports equipment and games. Bicycles are amazing and lots of variety from small to adults sizes. Great time!

These are observations not complaints, but had we known it may have influenced our decision.1. We mainly chose this property for the use of kayak and canoe. There is no safe way to bring these down to the water or back up. But everything you need to enjoy them is here.2. This a a fabulous place for dogs, very accommodating. If you are not a dog person know ahead of time that the furniture in the sun room smells like dog. There was dog fur on the comforters, again not a complaint it is just we are not dog people. In the description it tells you that you can have dogs so this should not have been a surprise. This home is very clean, these are just things that happen when you host fur babies.3. The view of Lake Michigan was amazing! The layout of the backyard was great however it was awfully dangerous to take out the canoe over the retaining wall of rocks. Unfortunately, the backyard was not kept and though we appreciated welcoming our dog to the cottage, it was not relaxing since my dog kept finding trash throughout the yard. There was also a bad odor outside like maybe there was a dead animal so we couldn’t really enjoy sitting outside. The inside of the cabin did not feel very clean either. It was very obvious that many dogs stayed at the cabin in the past. We basically drove an hour or more a day to get to some incredible hikes of Door County and loved all the State Parks especially Peninsula State Park.

Perfect home base for our Door County getaway. This home had everything we needed. Waking up to a vast sunrise and the sound of gentle waves breaking on the rocky shoreline was an amazing start to the day! I would definitely stay here again.

For someone who grew on the shores of Lake Michigan, I could not have been in a more perfect spot with my family. We loved the location, the water, the amenities, the short drive to all the fun Door County towns. The house was so cute, and had everything inside and out that a family of 5 would need. I would stay there again in a heartbeat if the opportunity ever presented itself. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We had an amazing stay at this quiet and beautiful spot near Lake Michigan. The location was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we were hoping for. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the cleanliness was truly excellent. Communication with the host was great from start to finish. We will definitely be visiting again.
