Lakeside Hotel and Spa

Denne anmeldelsen gjelder rommet vårt 104, etter at vi hadde byttet fra 211. Veldig variable rom fra ikke så bra til veldig bra nemlig. Viktig også med rom ut mot sjøen. Veldig god service og hyggelig personale. Hvis vi skulle ta fram noe negativt, så var det systemet på frokosten. Bestillingssystemet de hadde tok altfor lang tid, og ikke bra å sitte og vente i 20 min på kaffe f.eks. Det manglet jo ikke på personale i restauranten. Kvaliteten på maten derimot, var fortreffelig på alle måter.

Lovely weekend away at Lakeside Hotel. I couldn't fault the staff, very attentive and always happy to help. The lake view room and food were great. Robes and slippers provided in the rooms for spa use. Parking is behind the aquarium only a short walk away and is free for hotel guests. Will definitely be staying here again!

Very clean room and the staff were great and very helpful without being intrusive. We had the continental breakfast which was great and plentiful choice. We used the spa daily, the pool was like stepping into a bath it was so warm and we enjoyed the sauna and steam room. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing break, we took the boat to Ambleside and back and the girls in the kiosk who were very informative and pleasant. The hotel is on flat land with lots of space for walking or sitting out and having drinks hot or cold. Suitable for those of us who have mobility problems. Two lifts are available but there is a bit of a journey to reach them as they are situated in the new part of the hotel but, can’t be helped as it would have ruined the grand style if they tried to pit them near the reception Parking outside is chargeable to a separate company. Blue badge holders can park free if a token is obtained from the hotel and all others must park 400 yards further away with a token but can unload in a space outside the hotel.

Paradise. Avoid the restaurant and eat in the bistro but otherwise you’re in heaven
