We had a wonderful week in Kauai at Bali Hai Villas- the rooms were a great value for the size compared to the other resorts we’ve stayed at on our Hawaii trips. Our room had been recently remodeled and was very well appointed. Both of the pools were very nice and there were always plenty of lounge chairs and grills available for use when we needed them. The game room and activities were huge hits with our kids. And the best part was the location- only a few minutes from Hanalei, which is our favorite little town with the best beach and beautiful mountain backdrop. The only drawback was there was no restaurant onsite, but there were food truck options most days/times and there are so many other good restaurant options in Princeville and Hanalei that it didn’t really bother us. Overall this is a great resort and we will definitely be back in the future!

Location: at Princeville, a nice town. It is great for quiet beaches and snorkelling, not much for shopping. Facility: a resort. Not fancy and just a group of villas as the name indicated. There is a pool and every guest receives a wrist band with electronic key, although I didn't use it. The property is not on the beach and rooms do not have ocean views. Room: The units are good sized and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen look modern. Very comfortable, but not luxurious. Service: the front desk is large and has very good staff. There was no daily maid servoce. We didn't need other services, and not sure about on-site activities. Parking: easy and free, in front of the house. Safety: not gated, but the whole area looks safe. Mostly fellow vacationers.

Super clean. No musty smell like most HI properties. Bed felt medium firmness. TV's were not 4k. No premium channels, but I was there for outdoors. We stayed at the Wyndham for a short while but enjoyed the place, the unit was very spacious and well equipped. Pool and hotub were amazing and the service was very generous and hosted free Mai tai w music for all. Highly recommend

After a long travel day, we arrived 1.5 hours after the check-in time, and were told our room still was not ready. I simply assumed it was being cleaned, but I was wrong. Once we arrived to our room and unpacked, I started to notice DIRT, COBWEBS, and BUGS in every corner. In the window in the shower, more dead bugs and CLUMPS OF HAIR. Absolutely disgusting. The mattress reflected the state of the room as well, and was so old and worn that there were visible dips where people had slept. In addition to the uncomfortable bed, the BEDDING WAS STAINED in multiple areas. Please see the following photo evidence. We were charged over $300 per night for the room to rival a $30/night motel in a bad part of town. We were absolutely disgusted by the lack of cleanliness, comfort, and overall condition of the room. STAY ELSEWHERE!

We love Bali Hai. We love their pool. We really love the fact that they have A/C in their units. The only thing they could do better is the housekeeping. The floors were a little dirty. Other minor cleaning details. Other than that this place was fun. Will stay again

This Unit 1111 was too old with not clean furniture and out dated kitchen. The windows had molds . No room service . Toilet flash was not working properly and leaking all the time . The Toilet clogged and they had to plunge it. They gave us 3 times room keys wrong and had to go to fix it by Hana !! Very poor and terrible experience

The room was not the cleaniest. The shower had a grody film, but I was desparate for a shower so I washed it down before using. There was left over food in both the refrigerator and freezer. Aside from that, the room was in order. Front desk was very helpful in keeping us informed about the weather and waves, as well as many recommendations for tours. Great place for families with the basketball/pickleball court with corn hole and shuffleboard. The pool is great and open until 10. They have on-site food trucks, which is extremely convenient. Very close to grocery store and walkways for strolling/jogging.

One bedroom place very spacious, nice bathroom and big. Two split window ac units make it comfortable when hot. Small patio with table. No maid services or trash. Take out trash yourself which is the only inconvenience in my opinion. Place was great. A few hikes in the area. No beach areas in walking distance. Beautiful island

Had trouble with the internet and casting entertainment onto the tv. We easily heard our upstairs neighbor stopping around and talking. It’s a great space to land though.

Check-in was straightforward at first, but to get your room keys, you’re directed to the “activities” desk, which is really just a setup to pitch you on the timeshare presentation. I understand the business model, but it’s not great being held up for that conversation when you just want to settle in. The room itself has an open-air concept, which works in theory for HI, but not so much when the roosters start sounding off at 4 AM. The place could really use better windows that seal out noise. The beds are also extremely firm, which made for some rough nights of sleep. On the plus side, the grounds and pools are beautiful, and the location is great. It’s close to all the North Shore attractions we wanted to visit. If you’re mostly planning to be out exploring, it’s a decent home base. Just be ready for a few quirks.

The windows are terrible, it lets in so much noise. There’s roosters everywhere and it feels like the parking lot is inside your room. All the windows are like that so moving rooms doesn’t do anything. If you’re a light sleeper, expect to be woken up. I wish I would’ve known that before!

Very nice property with clean and spacious rooms. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom units, and while there were only 2 of us, there would've been plenty of room to spread out for at least four more people.

Very reasonable rates for a great 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite which was comfortable, spacious, and clean. We were only there 2 nights and didn't really have time to take advantage of the amenities. Would stay here again.

Great property! Great service! Check in was 2.5 hrs late and we were given a voucher to their food trucks for the delay. We had just come from the airport and it wasnt dinner time yet so we just hung around the town. We understand they’re busy but would’ve appreciated some headsup. No flexibility on the check out time though.

The 3 bedroom villa was the perfect size for our family of six. Both pools were very nice and in close proximity to all villas. There are no restaurants on property but they do have rotating food trucks that park every day. Service was slow some days- especially when pool towels were needed. They were frequently out and had to be delivered later in the day.

Front desk wasn’t as friendly as expected for such a beautiful resort. Concierge was rude when asked about activities. So book ahead with other companie you will receive better service. Overall the property is a 10/10 pools, gym, ping pong, parking and food trucks were awesome.

The check inexperience was the worst I have ever had in 4O years of visiting Hawaii. The 4 PM. Check in is bad, I room was not ready until 4:30. There was no offer to use the pool area while we waited. Check out is 10 AM . They dumped the laundry bag at our door at 7:30 AM. There are so many other nice places to stay.

When I arrived to the property, I was informed my room was not available after all. They gave me a smaller room with no A/C at their sister property. This wouldn’t have been an issue, but they wouldn’t refund me for the price difference in rooms which is around $300. Don’t book here!

I liked the property and service somewhat but we purchased 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom. The refrigerator did not work and freezer did not work and we lost hundreds of dollars in seafood and meats. The bathroom flooded twice. It took 72 hours to get a new refrigerator and repair of the toilet parts.

We had a wonderful week in Kauai at Bali Hai Villas- the rooms were a great value for the size compared to the other resorts we’ve stayed at on our Hawaii trips. Our room had been recently remodeled and was very well appointed. Both of the pools were very nice and there were always plenty of lounge chairs and grills available for use when we needed them. The game room and activities were huge hits with our kids. And the best part was the location- only a few minutes from Hanalei, which is our favorite little town with the best beach and beautiful mountain backdrop. The only drawback was there was no restaurant onsite, but there were food truck options most days/times and there are so many other good restaurant options in Princeville and Hanalei that it didn’t really bother us. Overall this is a great resort and we will definitely be back in the future!

Beautiful property in a very convenient location. The only issue we had was the roosters waking us up super early! Of course that is not the fault of the property’s, but just be prepared and bring earplugs! They start crowing around 3 AM.

Location: at Princeville, a nice town. It is great for quiet beaches and snorkelling, not much for shopping. Facility: a resort. Not fancy and just a group of villas as the name indicated. There is a pool and every guest receives a wrist band with electronic key, although I didn't use it. The property is not on the beach and rooms do not have ocean views. Room: The units are good sized and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen look modern. Very comfortable, but not luxurious. Service: the front desk is large and has very good staff. There was no daily maid servoce. We didn't need other services, and not sure about on-site activities. Parking: easy and free, in front of the house. Safety: not gated, but the whole area looks safe. Mostly fellow vacationers.

We loved the Wyndham Bali Hai! Such a wonderful, central location for our needs. The rooms were clean and suited our family perfectly. Nice to have AC and also key to have a washer and dryer. Loved our balcony that was on the edge of the property with a peaceful, beautiful, jungly view. Would definitely return.

The property was in a nice location on the North Shore about 50 minute drive from Lihue Airport but it is easy to get back snd forth feom any side of the island. The resort was nice and quiet with two nice pools, with gas grills for cooking. The second pool was nicer but both were good. The rooms are nice, no real difference between deluxe and presidential rooms other than some furniture upgrades, we stayed in both because we stayed for a total of 10 days. Recommend a 2nd floor suite because you can hear noises from above, not bad for a couple of days but if there is a large family above it could be a problem after a long day. I would rate this as a really nice resort. We are here in late December and the temps are nice but if you need AC there is a $20 per day fee to activate the units in your rooms. You have great views of the mountains depending on what suite you get. Oh and there a plenty of roosters and hens walking around the resort. Be aware of small ants that seem to be common but not that bad. Over allI give the resort a 4.2. The concierge service is OK but you can get trips and tours a lot less in some of the markets like the Coconut Market Shopping.

Practical unit in a nicely landscaped, perfectly located complex. Nice pool. Convenient to have food trucks on site, but surprising lack of conventional dining options. I’d have expected a cafe or cocktail lounge or at least a convenience store on site. Kitchen was serviceable, with most of what we needed. Nice bathrooms. Climate control was an ongoing struggle, but I guess that just how it is in a humid environment. Overall, we really enjoyed the property’s features ( clubhouse, pools, landscaping) and found the unit adequate. Very nice staff!

We stayed 3 nights—wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful property. Concierge greeting was helpful and informative. We felt pampered and relaxed in the resort. No restaurant on site but there were food trucks available from 8 to 6 which supplied breakfast and lunch, if you needed. Nearby Hanelai has great restaurants for dinner.

It was so nice to have a washer and drier, plus they provided soap powder. The self catering was a definite plus and the food trucks were convenient. Everything is so expensive, it was nice to be able to fix our own meals. Princeville is a bit out of the way, but the Makai Golf Course was great and we played it twice. The resort offered 2:1 if you listened to their time share speech, but we already had fairly good rates through Hawaiiteetimes.com. There were lots of tiny ants but the bug man sprayed routinely. There was an elephant in the rooms above us who insisted on stomping around a lot in the evening, which was rather annoying. If I was to plan another trip would definitely consider this resort, but split my time between this one and one further south. The roads are very slow going.

Nice place for sure , staff was on point . Food trucks were a disappointment for sure . All kinds of goofy going on there . If you’re going to be in business try being open once and awhile . Coffee and breakfast offerings starting at 830 am ? A little late . As you can see the only thing bad was the trucks . Also heard the same from multiple guests .

Stayed 6 nights at this property. Overall it was a good stay. The property grounds and amenities are wonderful! One of the best pools I’ve seen. The location is perfect. Just 8-10 mins to Hanalei where you can find the BEST food. Princeville has a nice grocery store (pricey though) and a few restaurants. There are daily food trucks on the property. We got a smoothie and açaí bowl, both were excellent!! Can’t speak for the other food trucks but the food smelled good. Inside the property was pretty clean. Everything you need in the kitchen. The units are spacious. HOWEVER- the bathrooms need some serious remodeling and updating. There are no fans in the bathrooms so they’re miserably hot and stuffy. Towels hanging on the towel rack will never dry due to zero air flow. We had to put everything in the dryer. There was a good bit of mold and mildew on the walls in our master bath. We would likely stay here again but these units desperately need some attention in the bathrooms. Otherwise, they’re amazing.

As long as you stay firm and avoid the attempts to get you to attend a time share presentation on check-in, great place to stay! Location very convenient for shuttle to Princeville shuttle to Haena park and easy drive to Hanalei and local beaches.

Generally the stay was great. Check in was less than pleasant when told we had to pay for A/C and an extra tax. Our package said all was included. It did get resolved a couple days later. Also concierge when we got there was too much since we had been up for almost 24 hours. Felt pressure to do a time share sales pitch. We did cancel it the next day since we had no interest . Parking spaces were tight made it hard to load and unload luggage
