I took my daughter and grandchildren to this hotel for a relaxing night of hot tub and swimming. I don’t want him to lose business but I think he is doing that himself. He bought the property almost 1.5 years ago. It appeared there were only two staff at the hotel besides the owner. The owner checked us in and he was not the most pleasant. My daughter was staying with me and my son in law would pick the kids up after he got off work. The owner looked at me and asked if the kids were going to swim. I said yes, and he charged me an extra 75.00, 25.00 per child to swim. I was slightly irritated but I had promised them they could swim. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The water was dingy and there was dirt in the hot tub on the floor of the hot tub. The jets worked once in the hot tub and then they wouldn’t turn on again. The room was pretty clean, bathroom was clean. There was a condiment lid sitting on the counter in the room. The bed was fine, little firmer than I like, pillows were nice. The two staff members were pleasant, the gentleman was doing repairs around the hotel and the lady was cleaning things, but there is a sign which reads no room service come to the desk if you need something. It’s a pretty big hotel for only two staff to take care of. The breakfast was good, no complaints there. I’m not really one to give a bad or less than nice review, but this place appeared to be on its way to looking tired. The area was fine, quiet no concerns about the area.

The pool was closed for painting this was not posted on site.. very very disappointing..part of my reason for picking was the pool. Breakfast is bare minimum same food everyday ..staff is very nice..but all and all very disappointing

The staff was friendly and kind. We were advised at check-in that the entrance on side of building had a broken lock, which made the building accessible without using a key. Room was excellent, and mattress and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast was a bit limited (no eggs), but we were there during a very slow time. Will chose this property again in the future.

When I got into the room there were burn marks on the carpet, the bathroom was dirty, and the room was a lot smaller than expected. Even worse the back door to the property, which I was rooming closest to, was supposed to be locked but had tape over it. That alone made my entire trip feel unsafe. What is the purpose of having a locked door back there if you just tape over the locking part??

Arrived to the hotel as a late check-in. Found the side door with the latched taped so no key needed to enter the facility. Confirmed with the proprietor that they were having issues with the key card reader so they taped it. This is unsafe for not only the guests but also the night clerk working. The proprietor didnt seem to concerned a out it when confronted.

When we checked in after we had paid, we were told there was no house keeping to ask if we needed things. They had us read the paper. Then, the elevator broke that night, so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs. The front desk person was rude to my husband. The room was clean and nice. Don't think we will stay there again.

This experience at this hotel was disgusting and completely unsanitary. First off, I checked after waiting in an empty lobby for 30 mins, then after I checked was verbally made aware that the elevator doesn’t work, we were put on the third floor. Then after I walked past cob webs in every corner of the stairs and past holes in the drywall, we made it to our room. The room was gross the first thing I saw was a huge white stain on the couch, so we started looking around and found SO much hair in the bed, dirt specks, what could have been a spot of blood, urine on the toilet seat, hair in both sinks and the bath tub, as well as built up dust and grime in every corner of the tub. There was spilled beer that was sticky on top of the TV cabinet with multiple rings where someone set cans. There were very thick cob webs in the corner, so visible they show up on camera! This whole experience made my skin crawl to the point we just had to leave. Asking for a clean room wasn’t an option, as it was already after 8pm and that was provided as a “clean and ready” room.

Stayed in room #106 for two (2) nights in a n/s access room. Room was very clean and so was the bathroom and well stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner. Shower head was cracked and broken, kind of hard to take a shower though unless you used the hand held and shower bench. - Breakfast was the best with awesome coffee, toast, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bacon and sasage patties, juice, bagels, yogart. Breakfast host and front desk young man always stocking up breakfast bar and taking care of check-outs at the same time absolutely a super hero who can take on on multiple tasks. Property has indoor pool and hot tub but hot tub was hot and relaxing but no jets in the hot tub. Between staff and housekeeping a great team who were always aiming to please the guests. We enjoyed our stay and will tell our friends about our positive experience. Our room and bathroom really clean, well stocked and plenty of clean towels. My husband is wheel chair bound and everything was accessible from the doorways to the bathroom. Hotel looks as if has been remodeled lately and outside parking well lit and security camera's. Will defintely return in the future and met the property manager/owner very nice man who manages a great team of employee's at this Comfort Inn property.

This place should be condemned. Overly outdated. Pool, hot tub dirty. Dingy hallways, old elevators, curtains don’t close to block out light. Bathrooms VERY small. Shower lukewarm. Would never stay or recommend ever. Am I am usual pretty nice about reviews.

Looked good from the outside but our room was disgusting. Hair in the shower and sink, soap in the trash, and dirt in the jacuzzi tub. Could’ve ignored that stuff, didn’t use the jacuzzi in general, crossed the line when we found a tiny red/brown bug in our bed.

i would rate this a 1/10 if i could. we got there and checked in and i went to change the temperature of our room because it was freezing, after about 20 minutes it was just blowing out freezing cold air. We got the room with the jetted tub and there was somehow blood in there, pretty gross in my opinion. Our Remote to the tv didn’t work, not that big of a deal. and our sofa had a wet spot on it somehow. We then switched to a new room, and it wasn’t any better. The fridge was disgusting with who knows what was in it. It was like they didn’t clean the rooms. The floor had bobby pins and other items all over it, and there was hair all over our shower and NEW jetted tub. And finally we just gave up and wanted to go to bed, and there was FLEAS!! it was disgusting

The staff were friendly but hardly ever at the desk. The room hadn't been vacuumed in some time, hair on the floor, food wrappers in between bed and nightstand, straw wrappers under the edge of the bed and crumbs all over. There was a dirty hand towel left hanging in the bathroom over the shower and the floors in the bathroom were dirty. All the bedding was terribly stained. The alarm clock was covered in something sticky and the charging ports in it broken. To get clean towels you have to bring the dirty ones down, wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk, then count the towels out in front of them before you receive clean ones. There was hair floating in the pool and enough chlorine to burn your eyes without ever going under the water. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Its sad when children say mommy can we not stay here again its dirty.

Room dirty, not swept. Hallways covered in trash. My room wasn't even locked, door ajar. In the room, linens had blood on them, dirt scattered over sheets. Bathroom never was cleaned since last user-hairball in drain and hair and debris all over tub and shower walls. Jacuzzi tubwhich was an added expense dirty as well. Toilet clogged despite me not using it, almost over owing. Hotel worker kind enough to give me a plunger to clear toilet and cleaning supplies to include a bottle of industrial disinfectant and rags to clean the room. Also handed me cleaninens. 45 minutes later, clean bathroom, clean bedding, working toilet and grumpy me. Still needs vacuumed but it matches the hallway covered in dirt. Next morning, got a meager but expected microwaved breakfast and then used exercise equipment. Pool had bugs in it and enough debris to make it look like an outdoor pool. Went back to room, found bed bug on bed despite me changing all linens. Manager was upset and combative accusing me of making it . Workedr who came to room was very apologetic and understanding, seems to actually care. Never again.

This whole experience made my skin crawl to the point we just had to leave. Asking for a clean room wasn’t an option, as it was already after 8pm and that was provided as a “clean and ready” room.
This experience at this hotel was disgusting and completely unsanitary. First off, I checked after waiting in an empty lobby for 30 mins, then after I checked was verbally made aware that the elevator doesn’t work, we were put on the third floor. Then after I walked past cob webs in every corner of the stairs and past holes in the drywall, we made it to our room. The room was gross the first thing I saw was a huge white stain on the couch, so we started looking around and found SO much hair in the bed, dirt specks, what could have been a spot of blood, urine on the toilet seat, hair in both sinks and the bath tub, as well as built up dust and grime in every corner of the tub. There was spilled beer that was sticky on top of the TV cabinet with multiple rings where someone set cans. There were very thick cob webs in the corner, so visible they show up on camera! This whole experience made my skin crawl to the point we just had to leave. Asking for a clean room wasn’t an option, as it was already after 8pm and that was provided as a “clean and ready” room.

I liked the convenience of location. I did not like the drapes that would not close since we had a street light right outside our window. Also, the toilet seat was not clean when we arrived.

Wow, stayed at Rivers Edge Comfort Inn and gave it a 5, definitely different owners for sure. This is just an old run down property from the 80’s that needs serious updates but for a 2 star hotel what can i expect. I’m surprised people stay here but thought i’d check it out, the bathrooms are nasty and short curtain black at the bottom omg, but the room was ok, the front desk clerk was working an 18 hour shift but was nice. It’s just old and run down

This room was unacceptable at best.. I stayed because I wanted to have a nice New Year’s Eve away from home.. and to use the hot tub and pool. I didnt feel comfortable leaving my room unattended as this door was not really securable .. looked like someone had tried to break in at one point.. you need to have that door replaced! Scary and I should have left or changed rooms! But the front desk person was not approachable and when I checked in I’m not even sure he would have known what I was saying or asking of him !

The room was overall nice… however. The lock on the door was completely broken, our keys did not work and the manager had to come unlock our room for us. There were fecal remnants in the toilet and we found trash items on the floor such as a piece of a beef stick, and a gum wrapper. The bathroom door also did not lock. Besides the beds being made, the room was not clean. And we were not offered a discount for our safety being at jeopardy with the broken lock.

The shower curtain is as moldy all across the bottom, there was coffee left in the coffee maker, the bottom around the toilet was filthy and we had to have them come up 3 times to fix the air conditioner. The gal at the front desk was awesome!!

Our guests did not like the fact that thwy had to ask for towels because there weren't any in the room whwn they arrived. The room also seemed a little crampwd for apace. They did enjoy the comfortable beds and very comfortable pillows.

The room was clean and the service was good but the hotel needs some serious upkeep. The floor tiles in the bathroom and entry area were loose and moved when I walked on them. The curtains were torn. The couch was terribly stained.

The staff were friendly but hardly ever at the desk. The room hadn't been vacuumed in some time, hair on the floor, food wrappers in between bed and nightstand, straw wrappers under the edge of the bed and crumbs all over. There was a dirty hand towel left hanging in the bathroom over the shower and the floors in the bathroom were dirty. All the bedding was terribly stained. The alarm clock was covered in something sticky and the charging ports in it broken. To get clean towels you have to bring the dirty ones down, wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk, then count the towels out in front of them before you receive clean ones. There was hair floating in the pool and enough chlorine to burn your eyes without ever going under the water. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Its sad when children say mommy can we not stay here again its dirty.

The staff was great. Heather is a rockstar and deserves a raise! The room was clean. The continental breakfast needs and complete overhaul. It was 2/10 compared to others Ive been to. Food was cold, options were extremely limited. Breakfast potatoes were actually half cooked tater tots. Terrible.

Charged an additional Small amount when we checked in, booked online and prepaid for the room but there was an additional ~$5 for a tax that wasn't mentioned on Expedia. He asked for card and ID, didn't tell me he was charging me anything until I asked why he was running my card. Would have been great if he had at least explained before charging me.

When we checked in after we had paid, we were told there was no house keeping to ask if we needed things. They had us read the paper. Then, the elevator broke that night, so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs. The front desk person was rude to my husband. The room was clean and nice. Don't think we will stay there again.

I walked around my room without socks over night. The next morning in the shower the water ran black like I had been playing in the mud. Horrifying. The staff was wonderful, friendly and fun, but the place needs a good cleaning.

Check in attendant said “ Expedia never charges your card so I am charging your card 895 right now” I asked for another towel and they said I would have to pay for it Breakfast is horrible. Eggs were cold. Hashbrowns were still frozen. The gentleman that checked us out was very polite and nice. But the guy that checked, the sand was very rude and couldn’t understand the word he said. Area seemed unsafe in general. Lots of vagrants hanging around outside. Why stay here?

On the surface, looks like a bad area, hotel hidden behind run down properties. Inside, had to ring a bell even though he was right behind the wall, should have heard me. Was charged extra fees that "Expedia never charged". Only had two towels, asked for more, he waited in hallway for the dirty ones - ok, fine, but then he ushered me I to the back laundry room and was basically asking me to walk in the back to put my towels in their bin by the machines!! There were hairs everywhere, in the shower, on the floor, on the couch. Stained, moldy shower curtain, curtain rod nearly falling off the wall. Cup rings on dresser, so WAS NOT CLEANED.

The staff was friendly and kind. We were advised at check-in that the entrance on side of building had a broken lock, which made the building accessible without using a key. Room was excellent, and mattress and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast was a bit limited (no eggs), but we were there during a very slow time. Will chose this property again in the future.

Stayed in room #106 for two (2) nights in a n/s access room. Room was very clean and so was the bathroom and well stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner. Shower head was cracked and broken, kind of hard to take a shower though unless you used the hand held and shower bench. - Breakfast was the best with awesome coffee, toast, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bacon and sasage patties, juice, bagels, yogart. Breakfast host and front desk young man always stocking up breakfast bar and taking care of check-outs at the same time absolutely a super hero who can take on on multiple tasks. Property has indoor pool and hot tub but hot tub was hot and relaxing but no jets in the hot tub. Between staff and housekeeping a great team who were always aiming to please the guests. We enjoyed our stay and will tell our friends about our positive experience. Our room and bathroom really clean, well stocked and plenty of clean towels. My husband is wheel chair bound and everything was accessible from the doorways to the bathroom. Hotel looks as if has been remodeled lately and outside parking well lit and security camera's. Will defintely return in the future and met the property manager/owner very nice man who manages a great team of employee's at this Comfort Inn property.

The pool was closed for painting this was not posted on site.. very very disappointing..part of my reason for picking was the pool. Breakfast is bare minimum same food everyday ..staff is very nice..but all and all very disappointing

The room looked fine on the surface until you actually looked closely, i noticed there was yellow stains all over bed sheets pillows also a smell of like throw up for some reason, the room was infested with the biggest spiders, the couch in the room had mold on it the owner didn't care we left a day earlier neither cared to ask why, also when we first got there the key card wouldn't work went to the owner had to give us another room and looked mad at us because of it as if we were disturbing him, very unprofessional, the hotel was so dark creepy and extremely hot in the hallways would never go back again don't believe the pictures 👍

We checked out within an hour of our check in. The chair in the room looked stained and filthy, the desk chair was tattered and the linens had a yellow hue to them, one of the pillow cases had a brown spot on it. But the thing that made us leave was the lack of security. The side door had a key card box to get in, but it never lit up when I used it. Turns out the door was taped open. The front desk never had someone at it, you had to ring a bell to get someone to come out and that didn’t always work. So that didn’t make me feel all that secure either, again anyone off the street could walk in to the hotel. There was also a random fire basin in the back and a lawn chair hidden behind the bushes. My husband and kids said there were things floating in the pool and debris along the bottom of it. We decided to leave because of all of these things. Do not recommend this hotel, especially at a rate of $300/night!

Staff was rude, I hadn’t checked and wanted to change my reservation for 1 night and he said policy is I have to pay for 2 night. I showed him the policy and it didn’t says that . No towels no toilet paper, room smelled bad . Outside doors didn’t lock anyone can come in .
