It's obvious this lovely motel is well tended and cared for. It has a nice chalet vibe. There are flowers everywhere, table and chairs outside each room and picnic tables on the grounds as well. Check in was easy. The rooms are nice size, beds comfortable, the fridge is large enough for an extended stay. There are even pretty Japanese robes in the closet area.

The Chalet Motel in Whitefish was very comfortable for us. Even though the motel is an older build, the upgrades made it great. I would stay here again if I return to this part of the country.

Wi fi and tv kept buffering all night during presidential debate. Tv service was horrible. Chairs very uncomfortable. Beds old mattress kinda hard and lumpy. For $354 expect little better. But overall very clean and friendly staff.

I am consider myself a regular visitor at the Chalet over the past decade. Covid brought new owners and she is wonderful and full of exciting ideas for the place and the rooms - which she is remodeling nicely. This trip was not the best - we arrived in our rooms and began killing ants - after about 30 we thought we should call that in to the owner. She is a hands on owner . She offered to spray or to move us . We chose to move. The ants were living in the wall and were there because of the food that was behind the bed. Owner was autopsies they had ants in the second floor - then said - it’s Montana there are ants. Not those ants though. We went to the suite and then the telvison had no sound - after a hour and switching tvs and fumbling the volume came back but no remote. And this room was not cleaned that well either - with pieces of chicken bone/food under the table, by the garbage … Other than that it was an ok stay. I will reconsider my next stay as the $300 a night rate was way to much to pay for the experience! We did get to check out at 11:30 which was nice.

Older facility. Over-priced for age and condition. Floor had not been cleaned in quite some time - we spilled water and cleaned it up - the rag was black. Floors should be cleaned regularly, not necessarily after each guest, but often enough that bare feet or socks do not end up black

I don’t understand all of the glowing reviews of this place. It’s an OK motel that was built 40 years ago. We had some issues with the refrigerator, a window screen that was bent, the AC and the remote didn’t work properly, etc. I would give it a 6.5 to a 7.

We stayed at the Chalet Motel for 3 nights at the end of May 2024. Overall, we found the room clean, comfortable, and equipped with important amenities such as microwave, fridge, and a larger coffee pot with real ground coffee. The disappointment for us was the substandard TV and WiFi service. The smart TV relies on WiFi streaming and a remote that was foreign to us, unlike the majority of motels we've stayed in. Similarly, my laptop was mainly useless because of the weak WiFi signal. I would normally rate this motel 4.5/5, but the weak Internet service downgrades it to 3.5/5.

Clean room, friendly staff and beds were comfy. We appreciated having an assortment of thick and thin pillows. But no deadbolt for the door so no way to secure yourself in other than the door lock that staff can access. Needs more towel racks and a taller bedside table lamp. Had a nice fridge with bigger freezer compartment than most hotels. Cozy motel with lots of flowers.

We were checked in and went to our room (45). The door was already open, I didn’t think anything about it. We finally got all our stuff up to the second floor and I went to shut the door but it would not latch. It was obvious the latch and striker plate were not aligned. I went to the office and was informed I didn’t know what I was talking about. The lady (Eva, I think) went to the room and said a loose screw was the problem. I said I thought it was more than just a loose screw. It was the only lock, the dead bolt had been removed. I offered to attempt to fix it if she could get a screwdriver. She declined my offer. She made me feel belittled and talked down to. When she raised her voice talking to me I knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere, then I said I couldn’t leave my property in a room that didn’t lock. She said, “fine I’ll give you a refund”. I objected to the refund because I had trouble finding this room ten days earlier. To make this long story shorter, she kicked two 78 year olds to the curb at 6pm. I would not recommend this place to anyone,

Our room was on the warm side. Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit was so incredibly loud that we were unable to keep it on. Having it running meant being unable to hear the television and so much noise that we couldn’t sleep. Otherwise our room was generally okay. It’s an expensive place—far more costly than the quality of the room warrants.

Pros: nice towels and lots of shampoo/soap. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The facility is quiet since we had a room away from the road. Cons: had to call someone to get checked in and yes,they were annoyed. No coffee or any other perk. Room had a coffee maker and coffee but no filters. Was not worth the price.

Eva and Alejandro go out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are clean, and housekeeping comes daily. There are also personal touches… flowers in a small vase in our room one day, and home baked cookies another. I was expecting a package, and Eva made it her priority to get it safely to me. The grounds are landscaped, and tables - chairs - hammock swings dot the property, for cozy outdoor views. Loved it.

Perfect place to stay if you want sunrise in Glacier National Park. 30 miles to the gates. The staff could certainly use some lessons in customer service though. Barely acknowledged we were there. Rather combative. Just be friendlier please The room was extremely clean though and it was a quiet night.

This is a cute boutique motel that was clean convenient to the train station. The beds and bedding were very comfy. We self checked in and out so I didn’t get to meet the staff but Eva did a good job communicating with me. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks

Perfect place to stay if you want sunrise in Glacier National Park. 30 miles to the gates. The staff could certainly use some lessons in customer service though. Barely acknowledged we were there. Rather combative. Just be friendlier please The room was extremely clean though and it was a quiet night.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location was convenient and easy to get to. I had no issue with either check in or check out - everything was handled with texting. The room was surprisingly fun and well furnished, and had a home-like feel to it - old fashioned comfort. Everything was clean and functional. Would definitely stay there again, as well as recommend friends and family!!

Property has been updated. Rooms are clean and offer nice touxhes like robes and a fridge. The addition of the restaurant will make it awesome.

Pros: nice towels and lots of shampoo/soap. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The facility is quiet since we had a room away from the road. Cons: had to call someone to get checked in and yes,they were annoyed. No coffee or any other perk. Room had a coffee maker and coffee but no filters. Was not worth the price.

Sketchy place. Bugs in the room, smelled like cigarette smoke and NEVER saw anyone at the front desk.

STAY ELSEWHERE!!! STAY ELSEWHERE!!! STAY ELSEWHERE!!! The woman running the front desk was friendly but unable to resolve the problems we encountered. The bed was comfortable and the shower was a nice strong one. Problem #1: The room was warm even though it was only 47 degrees outside. The air conditioning unit helped a little bit to cool down the room but did not make the room cool. It was also EXTREMELY LOUD. Problem #2: The television was unable to load the software necessary to use it. A staff member said that he would reboot the router to fix the problem. It improved for roughly 5 minutes and then failed to work again. We had no use of the television for the duration of our stay. Problem #3: The WiFi is so slow that it was the equivalent of having no WiFi. I’m serious when I say that it took 55 minutes for me to open, read, and send a simple response to one email. It was THAT slow. The property is also expensive-far, far, FAR more costly than the quality warrants. JUST STAY ELSEWHERE!!!

Great little motel on the south side of Whitefish. I needed a late check-in, and that was no problem as they do contactless check-in. Only downside is I never got to meet the staff, so can't really give the staff a review, but I'm sure it would be a good one. I would be happy to stay there again.
