G305 North Coast Village- Upscale condo

The OnTheSands management is very organized. The grounds/landscaping is beautiful. The pool and hot tubs were great. The views from the balconies might have been the best part of the unit. I had to work a bit while there, and having the surfers as the backdrop was nice. We booked this 3 bedroom so that each of our 2 kids could have their own room, and there was plenty of space. The unit could maybe use a few minor upgrades/repairs, but hardly noticeable with all the other amazing benefits.

Impulse run to the coast. Enjoyed the ocean view and proximity to the beach AND harbor. Lovely grounds; well-supplied condo. Lots of room to spread out.

The apartment was as depicted -- the main bedroom is huge and full of light. It is at the top of a narrow stair, so be aware if stairs are an issue. The main level is dark in the mornings due to facing west and the construction of the building. Amazing sunsets from both levels! The apartment complex is a maze, so make sure to take the map with you when you are trying to find anything (pool, HOA office, etc). There was a bit of parking confusion. We were instructed to park our small travel trailer in the city lot across the street from the complex. However, neither the HOA nor the patrol were clear on whether we needed to pay a day fee to the city. We did end up paying per day, as there was no one to ask at the lot. The HOA (once we found it in the maze of buildings) and patrol people were friendly. We put our pass in our window of our travel trailer and were relieved to not be ticketed or towed. Laundry is complicated -- be aware that you must download an app and load with money in order to wash your clothes (no coins). Wifi is spotty: you likely will have to leave the laundry room and return several times to get the machines to run. The wash app will not refund any money unless a machine doesn't work, so if you load more money on it than you need, you're out of luck. It's a pretty property and good location -- would be great for families of young kids up to teenagers. Lots to do!
