Très bonne experience> Ayant eu un empêchement sur la date d'entrée pour cause de météo au dernier moment, ils m'ont offert un jour de plus ! geste commerciale très appréciable ! Tout était parfait et idéalement situé à Wakkanai !

Overall good hotel, although due to lack of options in the area relatively pricey compared to other regions in Hokkaido. Let's focus on the quirky stuff: Hotel has a check-in/check-out machine, actually of the same model we saw at other venues during the trip, although without the cash options (only card payments). First, it appears to be hard set to a 3pm check-in time. 2:40pm - no luck. 3:01pm - no issues. While it could well be that cleaning for my room was completed during this 20 minute slot, that would be coincidence. Seems a bit inflexible to enforce this rule, even though I had no issue doing emails for 20 minutes, and was very keen to test the system! Second, on (rather early) checkout (see below), the machine was switched off. Normally, all it needs is to insert the room key, confirm to additional charges -> go! So had to go to the counter, ring & wait for staff to do the same manually. Kind of beats the purpose of the machine, no? Lastly, hotel had a sign that they expect a busy period at breakfast starting from 6:30am (large group staying?), and therefore open the restaurant at 5am instead of the usual 6am. Again, seems a bit quirky, so if you happen to have had the same experience, please let us know - is this an exception, or rather the rule? BTW, checked out around 6:30, and the crowd seemed regular.
