The Pelican Inn

We were greeted (we think) by Fernando who was excellent. He showed us to our room and explained the various features of the place. He let us know the kitchen closing time and we had a really good meal. The downstairs is furnished very well and Fernando looked after us very well. The room is fine. Everything we needed and completely OK for the price charged. We would stay there again if in the area.

Lovely location with parking. I would stay there again

We stayed in a twin room in the height of summer, the windows could not open beyond an inch or so, there was no fan and the room was hotter than a sauna. Unbearable. The staff were lovely but totally unsupported being left in charge late with no guidance. We felt very sorry for them. Simon was excellent and made our stay really good. The garden and food was lovely. Breakfast consisted on a plate with stale bread roll and box of cereal no bowl or milk. Left outside the bedroom door.

We come to the Pelican often for the great atmosphere and food, but have not stayed before. The staff are simply the friendliest and most helpful of any where. Our room was spacious and

Nice clean place, staff very friendly, if a little under staffed, could do with additional staff in my opinion, but the staff I encountered remained positive and very helpful. atmosphere is good, the food was good, all in all I had a pleasant stay. If leaving before the main pub entrance is open, the route out to the car park could do that lighting, it’s very dark exiting via that route.
