I didn't like that there wasn't an elevator as I have a foot injury and we were on the third floor. I didn't like that the bathroom was tiny. They need to have Keurig coffee makers in the room with a better selection of drinks. I can't drink caffeine and it would have been nice to have more options. I do know that they had more downstairs but I only used the stairs twice a day. I loved having the balcony and a beautiful view.

Total new updates. Very clean. Beach right under window. Sat at the picnic bench and was surprised by 3 deer walking through the water! Watch the ferry, walk to a great beer pub, even off the main drag are a couple little quaint restaurants. Front desk people were extremely nice and accommodating.

I had a waterfront room which was great! You are right on the water and can hear the waves. The person at the front desk was helpful. There's no elevator and we were on the third floor. There is a laundry across the street. There are a couple of restaurants on the street although I didn't stop at them. They are planning updates during the winter season such as phones and clocks.

Clean and surprisingly quiet. The beach out back is accessible and a nice walk when the tides are low. Staff is friendly and helpful. The space was small, but I didn't need much just for me, so it was perfect for an affordable weekend getaway.

The view is its only redeeming quality. The room stinks to high heaven. There are stains on the bedding, chari and floor. Debris and sand still on balcony. Tub stopper and phone do not work. Wifi is too weak for work. They didn't clean the room for what they call stay overs.

The bathroom had a mold issue and the wall area is crumbing from water damage. There was mold behind the toilet. The patio door (to balcony) had no lock. The front door lock was very hard to work. Microwave was small, old and didn’t work well. It advertises daily cleaning but that didn’t happen. Had to ask for clean towels.

We loved the view from the 3rd floor balcony. We enjoyed the peaceful quiet water side. Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Bars of soap were okay, but kinda small. Shower hardly any pressure. Pressure toilet was awkward type of flushing but figure it out. TV didnt work, but wasnt planning on to much TV anyway. Outside area walk ways and parking lot seem weathered, and dirty with a lots of trash all over parking. Dont know how to rate, but if 1 to 10 I say 6. Mainly because the water view out the back side of hotel. I truly believe this hotel is not reaching it potential, because whats visible as you drive by could be improved vastly by cleaning up the trash, sweeping the walkways, perhaps taking a rug doctor to the outside carpets, and lastly, a little paint goes a long way.

Great beach view,. The waves at night through my balcony door was a plus if this is definitely an older motel. Sliding door was very difficult to open and close. It was clean and the front desk people were very friendly. It had a microwave, a small refrigerator and a small coffee pot which was a nice touch.

Our unit didn’t have A/C which may have been fine normally, but it was pretty warm in the room and the window faced a business area….with trucks. It was a little noisy in the evening with the window open. And the microwave was sort of an antique, small, dial controls (turn past 2 then set timer), and no turntable. On the flip side, the young lady at the desk was very nice and fixed the issue with the TV in the room (no signal) and with the Wi-Fi flakey, it was needed at least just to catch the news and weather.

Room had movies- except for an ugly metal roof Nextdoor. Room had no AC and I got little sleep. Had to keep the window open but got no cross breeze to cool it - just noise from what sounded like a generator. And the room smelled. But they did let me cancel day 2 of my stay as I couldn’t stay another day. Make darn sure you get a room with a view

Arrived at about 9pm. Had to wait a while for staff to check me in. There was a sign indicating they were on a 15-minute break. When she appeared, she apologized and indicated that she had been working elsewhere and had not realized someone was waiting. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A WAY TO ALERT HER TO MY PRESENSCE! The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows very large and hard. The fridge was so loud that I had to unplug it.

Rooms were ready at arrival. Helpful clerk asked leading questions so we were clear no one would be staffing the lobby when we left the next morning. Knew to just leave key card and be on our way. Offered us tea, sweeteners & creamers since they are not usually left in rooms but knew we might want before hitting the road early morning. Ice machine was behind a locked door. Made sure we knew where and that our key card would open. Offered suggestions for food & drink. Pointed out a few places on map. All "little" things but she made sure we had answers to questions we didn't know we had. :-)

It was close to the ferry and we had to leave before 6am so that was a plus. Having a room on the 3rd floor and no elevator was inconvenient and the fact that no one was in the office until 3pm and then the office closed at 7pm was very inconvenient.

Do not stay here. This property made it painfully clear that they prioritize profit over people, even in the face of a federally issued tsunami advisory. I made the responsible decision to forgo check-in due to an active public safety threat affecting the very coastline where this inn is located. The Water Front Inn refused any refund or credit, hiding behind a rigid no cancellation policy with no regard for human safety, decency, or basic compassion. If you’re traveling with family or anyone you care about, know that this property will leave you stranded during an emergency and still charge you for it. Consider carefully what kind of support you expect in a crisis before booking here.

Great deck seating, terrific views, good proximity to Safeway. Sliding door wouldn't lock. Sink water flow was just above a trickle. There was a dirty dry wash cloth on the shower curtain rod, that was NOT ours. The guest above us must have been moving the furniture around both nights till at least 1a. Rude. The front office staff was unapproachable and curt. Not friendly or welcoming as that position should be. Happy we cut our stay by a night.

Currently not inviting at all. Absotulely nothing provided for breakfast; could have at least juice and muffins. No receipt given at time of payment in cash. No AC; box fan in room. Advise bringing own fan to be comfortable in room during hot weather. Bathroom fan for moisture control not usable; timer for fan scratched so much the setting numbers are unreadable. No clock in room. Printed TV guide would be helpful. Large soils on carpet.

Decent property at a reasonable price. My room had a lovely ocean view, but the property is right on the water, which is nice. Close to the ferry, a bit of a walk to the main downtown area, but scenic along the water. Would stay again if in the area

Stayed two nights, Hotel only cleans first day. No breakfast, no screen on window, people walking by could easily look into room. Room was not ready by 3pm, had to wait. Towels i room were not dried , still moist from laundry.

Rooms were ready at arrival. Helpful clerk asked leading questions so we were clear no one would be staffing the lobby when we left the next morning. Knew to just leave key card and be on our way. Offered us tea, sweeteners & creamers since they are not usually left in rooms but knew we might want before hitting the road early morning. Ice machine was behind a locked door. Made sure we knew where and that our key card would open. Offered suggestions for food & drink. Pointed out a few places on map. All "little" things but she made sure we had answers to questions we didn't know we had. :-)

Nice basic property on the water, near downtown. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. I would recommend if you are looking for a bare bones property. It is next door to the Pour House, which is a perk.

Reception staff unfriendly. Comfortable bed. Furnishings very old. Should put sign up directing guests to back of building with view of water; space enough for lots of benches. Currently not inviting at all. Absotulely nothing provided for breakfast; could have at least juice and muffins. No receipt given at time of payment in cash. No AC; box fan in room. Advise bringing own fan to be comfortable in room during hot weather. Bathroom fan for moisture control not usable; timer for fan scratched so much the setting numbers are unreadable. No clock in room. Printed TV guide would be helpful. Large soils on carpet.

Our room looked out on the harbor and we could see the boats coming and going. One morning we watched a mother deer and her fawns on the beach. We found some nice dining options that were very close.

I had a waterfront room which was great! You are right on the water and can hear the waves. The person at the front desk was helpful. There's no elevator and we were on the third floor. There is a laundry across the street. There are a couple of restaurants on the street although I didn't stop at them. They are planning updates during the winter season such as phones and clocks.

Other than the smell of pot lingering in the air all night, the phone that no longer works, no other option other than coffee to drink in the AM, the dog hair on the pillow and no pillow protector, the view was lovely, the staff were reasonable, the location was awesome. A bit pricey for what it was.

The room did have a “water” view as advertised. It was clean. This is a true vintage motel. 3 floors with no elevator. The room was small but did have a balcony that could hold 2 chairs. We had a room that didn’t have a secure lock to the balcony so they had a stick to place in the sliding door. If you are use to modern hotels with breakfast options, this is not it. The price was lower than other options but you are giving up a few amenities for the lower price. Parking is free but the spaces are very tight. Also, office staff is not on-site around the clock.

It was a great location with the water front view and deck! The only negative was the uncomfortable bed and the pillows were really uncomfortable!---very hard! Our backs will recover, but it wasn't pleasant.

It turns out that the non-view rooms do not have air conditioning. My room was incredibly hot given the daytime temperature was 80. Luckily it cooled off at night and they provided a fan, but it was still uncomfortable. Also, the wind made the door rattle.
