Staff were friendly, accommodating, pet friendly...the hotel itself wasn't dirty, but our closet smelled horribly like mildew, and our bath tub/ bathroom was not clean. The tub had hair, spots, mildew spots on the drain. I asked my husband to buy me flip flops to wear in the shower. No tissues in tissue box. Housekeeping needs work.

Access wasn't really clear, but once I got there it made sense. The property is directly behind another motel chain, and there's not a direct access off the highway. You literally go through the other motel's driveway to get to the LaQuinta Inn. Great place though!

Walking into the property, the pool area and pool were dirty. Check in was easy, the problem began with the room. It was cold when we arrived, turned on the heat to 72 degrees, the smoke detector goes off and the smell emitted from it was bad. Which intensified the fresh paint smells, which the property had failed to let the room air out. The room itself looked as if it was still under renovation and the floors had not been mopped in a while. Our feet kept sticking to the floor and when we got out of the shower, walked into the bedroom area to dress, we dried out feet and the towel was black! Gross!! The buffet was underwhelming. The eggs and potatoes were hard, coffee was very weak and no one to clean up after people, so table were sticky and messy. I wish I would have not booked here. My husband and I both woke up sick from the paint smells from coughing all night long. Do not stay here! It’s the worst!!

This was our first time traveling with our dogs. This hotel was very accommodating. The area foe walking pets had grass a bit long but other than that, it was a good area to walk them. The rooms were clean and the breakfasr hostess was amazing and friendly. All in all if we are in North Myrtle again it will be top of my list.

Supposed to be a non smoking facility. Our room shoveled like an ashtray. Gross crumbs on floor. Roach crawling across our door. Ugh. And it was no deal, Easter weekend. Requested blankets and towels FOUR times.. Nothing til I stood at desk and waited.

Room was clean but could use a fresh coat of paint and updated fixtures in the bathroom. Service was friendly. Breakfast options were delicious and well stocked but limited compared to other hotels in the same price range. Would probably return if the price was right.

Overall I would not recommend this property. Our room was never cleaned. After returning from the beach on the third day of our stay around 4Pm I room had still not been cleaned. When I went to the front desk to ask about room cleaning I was told that unless housekeeping is requested they do not clean rooms and that housekeeping had gone home for the day. I was then given sheets for the bed and towels for myself to change. The manager was nice about everything but I was never told that unless I requested housekeeping my room would not be cleaned. In fact on the mirror in the bathroom there is a sticker that states your room will be cleaned every three days unless otherwise requested. Another concern was that are no towel racks or anywhere to hang towels or bathing suits to dry. Also, the AC made the room moist and my clothes were all damp during my four days there.

It was awful. There were spots of dog poop all over the room. It was like the dog or someone stepped in poop and then walked everywhere. They probably would have changed our room, but my husband chose to clean the floor ourselves because then we knew it was clean. Because if they didn't clean the floor in this room, chances are the other rooms might not be clean either. Girl at the front desk was very nice about it and was going to talk to the manager, but we never heard anymore about it. We still had to pay the pet fee, but they obviously do not clean the rooms any better after pets were there.

I have stayed in La Quinta hotel numerous times but this was one of the worst places I have stayed. The sheets were clean but that’s where the positives stop. The lobby floors were sticky, the elevator floor was sticky and had garbage in it. The light fixture on our floor by the elevator was missing its glass. The room was all hard floors and felt like a cave. The room had a damp smell among other smells. The beds were the low point. It was like sleeping on a pull out couch, felt nothing but springs and where time you moved it was loud because it was on basically a metal box. Bathroom had no drier, no conditioner for the shower. Im not one to usually leave bad reviews but I couldn’t let this one slide.

When I got to the hotel it was less the. Desirable the out side and the lobby was definitely outdated and needs a facelift and a good cleaning! The room was decent I was only there for nine night it did the job bed was hard and I did t sleep well they did have cute toiletries mini Dove products which made my stay a bit better I’m a woman that loves aroma therapy overall the room was clean as well as the sheets

Beds were hard as a rock! I could barely walk when i got up. Hallways and elevator smells like mold. The only highlight of me and my family’s stay was the coffee in the morning. Would not recommend. Mattresses are on metal frame and platform no box spring FYI

In our first room, the TV did not have the channels I wanted to watch NCAA tournament, so they moved us to a nicer room with a jacuzzi tub. However, the tub dripped most of the time, and when we went to use it, the jets didn’t work. So, nice try, but……

The beds are awful. It was literally a mattress was on something that looked like a metal box the mattress slide constantly. The TV didn’t half work lost signal etc. frustrating front desk never picked the phone up so you had to go back downstairs just to ask a question. There were kids running up and down the hall early in the morning late at night in the floor above ours. Basically if you want a place to lay your head cheap.

Multiple issues with rooms including leaky bathtub (constant irritating dripping). After moving rooms toilet had constant whining from air locks. Neither was fixed. Staff did not seem to care. No box springs... Mattresses were set on a steel pullout frame. Expected more for the price we paid comparatively in the area.

Beds were hard as a rock. Televisions were difficult to operate as you had to switch from analog to digital. If you wants to swith chanels you had to press three different buttons to do so. Staff were very helpful and courteous.

We stay here quite often and Ms Claudia does a GREAT job! We'd met her at another hotel a few years ago. And just happened to see her again at this La Quinta a year or so later. The hotel has significantly improved across the board with her addition. We'll be back!

When we arrived at 3am there was NO ONE around to check us in. We ended up driving around North MB trying to find another hotel just to sleep (as we had been driving for 17 hours). It was a horrible experience and very disappointing.

Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Only issue is we booked six nights and they only do housekeeping by request. When we requested it we found they didn't change the sheets only made to bed. The front desk was helpful and got anything we needed, towels, soap, sheets, etc. Included breakfast is decent.

I have nothing but praise for this property!!!! The Manager and staff are nothing short of amazing and this is my go-to when I need a convenient place to stay near my favorite hangouts!

we did not have the best experience when we checked in. It seemed very much like they were confused struggle to find our reservation when they did we got charged twice, which had to be adjusted. Had to ask for towels multiple times room service was not offered and our room was not service the entire time we were there, also throughout the entire hotel, the smell of drug paraphernalia was throughout the pool area and the entire lobby even when brought to their attention they were very less than attentive

Access wasn't really clear, but once I got there it made sense. The property is directly behind another motel chain, and there's not a direct access off the highway. You literally go through the other motel's driveway to get to the LaQuinta Inn. Great place though!

Having stayed at several LaQuintas in the past, this was just a disappointment. Seems like no one really cared to do a little better. To get in from MB on old 17 there was one little sign hidden behind a bush. One night I made 2 or 3 turns around the block before I found the entrance. I saw NO signage at all.

When booking this reservation, I thought it was beach access. Howeever, the beach is 1.9 miles away. Not far but not what I wanted.

This hotel was passable but the room was not entirely clean. There was some debris and dirt at various places in the room . The rest of the hotel was fine, including breakfast (although not many breakfast options). The location was in a highly commercial area of North Myrtle Beach. It was convenient to stores but not at all walkable.

We've stayed here before with our fur baby. This time, it came in handy while the Air Conditioning system at our home was down for repair. My only complaint would be that the coffee in the lobby was watered down. I suspect someone used more water than coffee beans in that batch.

On Saturday, the breakfast was spot-on! It had a variety of foods and plenty! And good! The employee was very nice. On Sunday, not so good. THe lady was doing her best to keep up, but often there wasn't any food to get. I understood that they were short staffed, but it appears that someone could have helped her with breakfast. I was really disappointed. The property itself was good. As always at the beach, the handles and door knobs showed rust. But the carpet was great and the towels were soft. Room was clean.

Staff was okay, bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was horrible compared to other LaQuinta's. Potato rounds were cold and hard, eggs and sausage were cold as well.

Room was clean but could use a fresh coat of paint and updated fixtures in the bathroom. Service was friendly. Breakfast options were delicious and well stocked but limited compared to other hotels in the same price range. Would probably return if the price was right.

The room was very clean, staff was awsome and the breakfast was beyond my expectations. Now the bad side, the bed was horrible! By the end of our stay I wanted to cry my back hurt so bad.

The pool was dirty and about 6" down of water. It was dirty and no umbrella at the table, there was one last year. The elevator was filthy. Our room had only one side table, the toilet seat was cracked and the ceiling was cracked. On Sat there was a guy parked at the front entrance for over 2 hrs and he was smoking dope. We stayed here last year and it was much better, not sure what changed. There was also an incident where the police were there for someone who was staying there. I have always picked La Qiuntas as we can take our fur baby.

The entire staff was amazing including the young lady who booked our room for us which we were allowed to check in early on Friday 8/14 She was very professional and very polite the whole hotel was extremely clean plus breakfast was amazing we definitely stay there again when we need a hotel

We are on our seventys and we had our little dog. Staff placed us on the ground floor directly next to the exit for convenience. Very nice. Clean.

The room wasn’t clean like it needed to be, but the staff was kind and helpful. The bedding was dirty and I had to ask the cleaning lady to come change the sheets on the pullout couch. Cockroaches were visible, had to get the key from front desk every time I wanted to go to gym, room doors didn’t shut all the way and you had to slam it to close. For the price it cost, I should have had a better experience

The beds were the worse I have ever had! Hard and slide off the metal platform it was on! The breakfast not that good, broken down car with tire off in parking lot! Cigarette butts all over the ground by doors. Hall floors nasty.
