Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, clean rooms and comfortable beds. The A/C in our room did not work very well but still did OK to keep us satisfied. The pool was not as clean as it could be hence the 4 stars and not 5.

Neat and clean. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Pool is a plus. Room was very adequate for our needs. Access from highway is somewhat convoluted. Somewhat inconvenient to have to go to another floor or the lobby to get ice and/or vending machine.

The night desk clerk was just the best! I was in town for my son’s Turning Green ceremony at Ft. Moore. Tbh there aren’t a lot of nice places to stay within 15 minutes of the base. I highly recommend staying here. I felt very safe while I was there even though it feels a little isolated at night. The parking lot is monitored and very well lit. The hotel is close to base and, contrary to what you might hear, your new soldier is allowed to stay in Alabama. They just aren’t allowed to be farther than a 50 mile radius of the base. I am so pleased with my choice of hotels! The beds! OMG! The pillows!! OMG!! My room was clean and so comfortable. Applebee’s is just a little ways down the road and Door Dash delivers! My son just wanted to chill and eat the whole weekend. LOL! There is a pool, but we didn’t use it, because the weather was rainy when we were there. There is a great breakfast if you don’t sleep in. There is also a fitness center if you want to put in a few reps. The staff is great, I felt safe, it is clean and comfortable!

We chose this hotel because it has decent reviews online. We came down to see our son graduate from Ft. Moore. First impression, it is difficult to get to from the light and there’s a sketchy used car dealership next to it. The lady at the front counter was nice. We were given a room on the 3rd floor. The key card would not work on the door lock. There was no light at all. So, we get back on the elevator to go down and the elevator does not move at all. I pushed the button to open the door again and it was stuck for like a good couple of minutes. Thankfully, it opened and we were able to get off the elevator. We took the stairs down to the front desk and asked for a room on the 1st floor. The lady at the front desk obliged. The room on the 1st floor was dirty and smelled like urine. We were upset and left. I contacted the front desk requesting a refund since we were not staying. The lady said that she would work it out with Expedia, since we booked through them. I contacted the Expedia Travel Agent, she contacted the hotel and they denied my request. I couldn’t believe that they denied my request after all of that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

No coffee maker in room. No safe in room. AC would not go below 68. Bath tube would not drain completely,standing water at all times so much the drain was rusted. Toilet seat was not secure. Front desk said elevators and gym that way, other than that i can't tell you anything else about the hotel. The get directions button does not work. You have to use the address. Construction on 4th floor in progress. You can definitely hear through the walls as i was woke up to the sounds of the people in the next room. Would not stay again. Not the holiday inn express i am use to staying at.

We were put in a handicap room next to the side exit door, which was quite loud in the entire night. Also, the seat in the shower had mold underneath it, and when we entered the room, there was a lizard on the bed.

The staff was excellent, especially Pam, who worked the breakfast area. I have never seen anyone who enjoyed their work more than her. She sang beautifully while stocking the condiments, and spoke to each of us personally, thanking us for our business. The hotel was clean and well kept. The only complaint I have is that we could not adjust the temperature in our room because the controls were locked. The thermostat said that it was set on 68 degrees, but it was much hotter than that in our room. It was very difficult to sleep because we were uncomfortably warm. I ended up buying a small fan and setting it on the nightstand to circulate some cooler air. I’ve never stayed in another hotel where we had absolutely no control over the temperature in our room.

Staff was very rude nearly the entire time. I needed assistance with updating my stay and the person at the front desk was honestly horrible. The room was pretty run down and dirty. Stains everywhere. Super super loud hotel you can hear nearly everything from any room in the vicinity.

The gentleman at the front desk staff not willing to assist us after we had extended our stay the night before. He wanted us to change rooms and we explained the night before we were told we could stay in the same room. He then told us basically to go and find a different hotel which we did.

We had the best breakfast, the food was excellent! Also, the breakfast attendant Pamela was outstanding!! We feel that she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we had a great breakfast and she was very friendly!! Pamela is a very dedicated employee and she made us feel very welcome! This is our first time to visit Alabama. The Holiday Inn Express was very clean everywhere!! The room was spotless and the King size bed was sooo comfortable!! We were also very impressed with the Manager Casey. She was very friendly and knowledgeable! We definitely will stay here again!!

Neat and clean. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Pool is a plus. Room was very adequate for our needs. Access from highway is somewhat convoluted. Somewhat inconvenient to have to go to another floor or the lobby to get ice and/or vending machine.

Hotel itself was nice however the location wasnt the best. I booked it on short notice so my fault on that. And although not very far, no restaurants and such nearby.

The night desk clerk was just the best! I was in town for my son’s Turning Green ceremony at Ft. Moore. Tbh there aren’t a lot of nice places to stay within 15 minutes of the base. I highly recommend staying here. I felt very safe while I was there even though it feels a little isolated at night. The parking lot is monitored and very well lit. The hotel is close to base and, contrary to what you might hear, your new soldier is allowed to stay in Alabama. They just aren’t allowed to be farther than a 50 mile radius of the base. I am so pleased with my choice of hotels! The beds! OMG! The pillows!! OMG!! My room was clean and so comfortable. Applebee’s is just a little ways down the road and Door Dash delivers! My son just wanted to chill and eat the whole weekend. LOL! There is a pool, but we didn’t use it, because the weather was rainy when we were there. There is a great breakfast if you don’t sleep in. There is also a fitness center if you want to put in a few reps. The staff is great, I felt safe, it is clean and comfortable!

The nicest property we could find in city. But the location is sketchy at best. There is police car permanently parked out front to deter crime. Front doors lock at 8:45 and you have to be buzzed in because of the crime.

We had the best breakfast, the food was excellent! Also, the breakfast attendant Pamela was outstanding!! We feel that she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we had a great breakfast and she was very friendly!! Pamela is a very dedicated employee and she made us feel very welcome! This is our first time to visit Alabama. The Holiday Inn Express was very clean everywhere!! The room was spotless and the King size bed was sooo comfortable!! We were also very impressed with the Manager Casey. She was very friendly and knowledgeable! We definitely will stay here again!!

The water never got hot in the shower, the shower curtain bar broke & water flooded on the floor, noisier than other visits, breakfast staff dropped platter of omelets on the floor & put the ones that didn’t fall off the platter in the serving dish… yuck! Needless to say, I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel.

Lady at front desk was great first night.Fire alarm went for over 1 hour the 1st night. The second day ac unit taken out fixed but went back out at 9:30pm.We had to be move to another room different floor.Breakfast lady was great and always had a postive vibe.

Property was decent, room was clean. However, I've stayed in hundreds of Holiday Inn Expresses and have never gone to breakfast where there was hardly anything left at 7:30...way before end of breakfast. Asked the woman that was working in that area why there were no eggs left. She said we had a busy weekend. We are out. All she said. They only had a few sausage patties and some sausage gravy left. No milk, yogurt, biscuits, fruit, cereal..NOTHING. Other people were upset too. I told mgr. at front desk and he was not concerned. Just said well sorry. VERY disappointed especially considering that breakfast is part of cost of the room. As advertised.
