Some nights we did not have a parking spot due to the bar on the property and had to park in the lot down the road. Fridge in our unit made a load noise, (sounded like a garborator), and had to stuff a towel between the headboard and wall due to load squeeking when anyone moved.

A beautiful getaway on the intercostal, stunning sunsets. The rooms are well equipped and quiet. Washer and dryers available for cleaning the beach wear. Plenty of pool towels available at the pool and hot tub. Walking trails and parks near by as well as downtown Dunedin.

The location is great, right on the water with wonderful sunsets. The Marker 8 Tiki Bar is the best part about staying at this location. Great location and very affordable.

We enjoyed our stay here and would have given a good reading but the chemicals in the pool or hot tub were off upon returning home we had infections my toe nails turned green and my wife had infections in her legs from bacteria in the pool/hot tub. I called to file a complaint and they said “ I’m sorry to here that” no offer of compensation or anything. I asked for a call back from management and never received it.

This resort was not clean, the shower head was attached by electrical tape and there was lots of mold under the handle. The lamp next to the bed did not work. When me and my daughter checked out early without any refund the front desk employees were very rude and made up excuses for all the issues. I will never recommend anyone staying at the property.

The room is definitely outdated and lacks lighting , which also gives it a very bland feeling. One thing they are doing exellent is laundering their linens correctly . The towels were so soft and smelled great. Even high expenspuve hotels have crunchy stale smelling towels in the the name of "conservation" i was just in Aruba and wondered if they dudnt puck them up off the ground and just throw them in the dryer .

My stay at this property was a mixed bag. The guest room was spacious and well lighted. The kitchenette was well supplied and the bathroom was bright and clean. The room was spotlessly clean! The hot water was never hot, just warm enough to shower with and not be cold. The road noise was constant and loud. The elevator was on the opposite end of the building from where check-in is located. The office hours at this property are extremely limited. Parking was never an issue. Both pools were nicely heated and the hot tub was comfortably warm. My main complaint about this property is that the front desk makes a photo copy of your Driver License and then scans it into a data base that it keeps on file. I found that to be way above and beyond a risk for idenity theft to occur. I was never asked for a credit card or any other form of ID. They would not return the copy made of my Driver License when I was checking out. Overall the property is pretty nice and well maintained but I will not stay here again because of the Driver License issue.

We LOVED our stay. We did not know what to expect having never been to the area. It was a short stay if only two nights but we will be back. The room was spacious, clean, well equipped in the kitchenette. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and water...it was beautiful!! So relaxing to sit and look at the water and watch the sunset. Check in was easy and convenient.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable, and bathroom is tiny; not enough room for toiletries. BUT, check-in was great and people were very friendly. Marker 8 on site was a nice place to have a few apps/drinks with a great view.

Our room was not great. The bed needs replaced. The bed springs were shot and the bed squeaked constantly. The WiFi did not work and there were power surges all the time. The lights would constantly flicker because of the power issue. We were left instructions that we had to wash the dishes, but there was no soap. An envelope was left to tip the room attendant—but in 5 nights there, our room was never serviced. Yup for what?!? Probably would not stay here again or recommend

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The staff who checked me in and out were super friendly and helpful. I liked that the walls were thick so there was no noise when the doors were closed. The view was fantastic. Old Florida vibe which is what I wanted.

We had a water view room with a front row seat to the best sunsets on Florida's West coast. It was only a few minutes from downtown Dunedin, which is our favorite town in FL. The only blemish was the intermittent Internet Wi-Fi. We'll definitely stay there again!

The kids working the front desk, have no idea what service is supposed to provided at a "Resort". They don't clean you room daily, not at all if you stay less that a week, and only once if you stay 5 days. They don't exchange pool towels and if you if want your room cleaned they will charge you $86 plus tax. I extended my stay by 1 day- 2 months before I arrived and they had no idea how to deal with that. you only get 1 tiny bottle of shampoo. If they ever figure out what the resort business is, they might have something.

We decided late in the day to turn our one-day stay into a 2-day one, and we’re glad we did. Our second floor kitchenette room faced the gulf, and despite the fact the Marker 8 bar was immediately below, we were undisturbed…it’s a lively place to eat (play-off on the night we ate there). 2 pools (the heated one and the hot-tub for guests) made this a memorable stay. Dunedin a great base too. Very friendly and helpful staff…we had an out-of-hours plumbing issue, and the maintenance guy came along within 10 minutes to sort it. Would definitely stay here again if we get back to the Florida west coast.

Beautiful location by the water, clean and facility. The checkin had us slightly confused/concerned. When we arrived a sign in the parking area advised to go to a certain condo. As we walked in the stairwell on the first floor we seen a table with a basket and envelopes with names on them. We found our envelope, which contained the keys and room location. Our concern is due to anyone can access this area from the street. Prior to our arrival we did send an two email regarding checking, we never heard back. I loved this area but would love to see a more secure checking process.

The property looked like the photos on Expedia. The problems start from there. On my way to the property from the airport, the front desk called me and wanted to know when I was arriving, because they wanted to leave. Check in is at 3pm, and it was 2:15pm. Then you find out that the "resort" does NOT clean your room daily, they don't provide clean towels, and they only give you a tiny bottle of shampoo ! I had to negotiate to get new pool towels, and I was told it I want my room cleaned, they would charge me a large fee + tax ! There is no mention of this on Expedia. At least 2 months before arriving I extended my stay by 1 day, and the Front Desk had no idea how to handle the 1 day extension ! I received 3 phones calls and 2 texts telling me they had no record of the extension and then scrolled down and saw the extra day. I only dealt with 1 "Adult" at the front desk, as the rest looked fresh out of college and had no idea how to deal with people and more importantly Hospitality, which is that main service at "resort" is supposed to provide. It's shame, because the grounds are nice, the pool area is clean, and the rooms are good, just don't use the few towels they give you, because they won't provide you more. And if you want clean sheets and pillow cases, look elsewhere. They did offer me some detergent if I wanted to wash my own ! I've been traveling for more that 50 years and NEVER dealt with anything like this. You get charged a "RESORT FEE"

The property looked like the photos on Expedia. The problems start from there. On my way to the property from the airport, the front desk called me and wanted to know when I was arriving, because they wanted to leave. Check in is at 3pm, and it was 2:15pm. Then you find out that the "resort" does NOT clean your room daily, they don't provide clean towels, and they only give you a tiny bottle of shampoo ! I had to negotiate to get new pool towels, and I was told it I want my room cleaned, they would charge me a large fee + tax ! There is no mention of this on Expedia. At least 2 months before arriving I extended my stay by 1 day, and the Front Desk had no idea how to handle the 1 day extension ! I received 3 phones calls and 2 texts telling me they had no record of the extension and then scrolled down and saw the extra day. I only dealt with 1 "Adult" at the front desk, as the rest looked fresh out of college and had no idea how to deal with people and more importantly Hospitality, which is that main service at "resort" is supposed to provide. It's shame, because the grounds are nice, the pool area is clean, and the rooms are good, just don't use the few towels they give you, because they won't provide you more. And if you want clean sheets and pillow cases, look elsewhere. They did offer me some detergent if I wanted to wash my own ! A beautiful getaway on the intercostal, stunning sunsets. The rooms are well equipped and quiet. Washer and dryers available for cleaning the beach wear. Plenty of pool towels available at the pool and hot tub. Walking trails and parks near by as well as downtown Dunedin.

I love this place. I stay here ever year for my bday. It’s within walking distance to so many restaurants and shops. Only a few minute drive to the beach.

Check in process was super easy and was able to add an extra night while staying in the same room. We had a waterfront view that had beautiful sunsets and peaceful sunrises. The bar and pool at the resort made for a great quick margarita and tan before going out to explore! It’s a great spot that is super close by honeymoon island and caladesi where we drove to every day. There are also plenty of food options around that are local and very unique. Would definitely return in the future!

I would recommend this place to anyone. It is very close to the Dunedin causeway and the Honeymoon State Park (6 dollar entrance fee) and restaurants. The Marker 8 tiki bar on location is just what you would want. Minutes to Clearwater. Exceeded my expectations.

Able to check in promptly. Room was clean but a little dated. Bathroom is small but adequate. Location is good. The Marker 8 Tiki bar and grill is on-site and offers view of the bay. There is no breakfast available.

Stayed three nights in early January and so the weather was cooler. We were called on the day of our checkin which was nice. Very friendly and detailed our check in and what to do if we arrived late. Check in was easy. Our place was clean and what we expected. Bed was king and pretty comfy. My mistake as I thought there were only two towels for our stay but found two more in the cabinet above the toilet. But they did deliver two more when I asked about the number. Tiki bar was a like a better dive bar. View is amazing. Sunset shots are fun and all bartenders were friendly. I see that another review on the food said that everything is served in styrofoam containers and this is still true. So the response that they weren’t able to get more environmental friendly containers doesn’t ring true. The second night it was chilly in the bar and the bartender said she couldn’t turn on the heaters without management approval. So we left and went elsewhere. The third night we came back for a couple final beverages after dinner and it was close due to cold weather. So that was a disappointment. Due to weather we didn’t use the pool or any other amenities but we’re still charged for the resort fees. Didn’t seem fair. On the positive side - great sunsets. Good location. Nice people.

The location is great, right on the water with wonderful sunsets. The Marker 8 Tiki Bar is the best part about staying at this location. Great location and very affordable.

Awesome! The room was clean and AC worked great. It had a fridge, stovetop, and sink so we were able to bring food/ drink with us. We did eat at the restaurant downstairs. The food and service were good. They gave us a free sunset shot. We ate at Eddie's across the street as well, equally good. We live local and it was a perfect getaway. We'll be back!

I was anticipating a clean quiet and professional experience checking into Beso De Sol. However, checkin was on a second floor walk up. I had knee discomfort making stairs this uncomfortable. I am waiting behind two completely drunk women attempting to check in. They are soaking wet leaving huge puddles at the counter. One begins farting so horribly it is questionable whether that was actually water on the floor. They wanted a room. I felt like I was at some 1 star cheap hotel over a bar..with local drunkards. I was VERY skeptical about even staying there. They put me on the 3rd floor after too much time passed waiting to be checked in. The receptionist had no training and it was her first day. The elevator was broken the next two days with no signage. Waiting so long I almost missed an appointment. Took the stairs from the 3rd floor with a bad knee. No air in there and creepy. Lots of loud drunks and smoking below my balcony outside made it feel cheap. Fridge inside leaked water all over my groceries. When I asked the front desk about the elevator and what they would do about it I was hung up on! Rude. No apology, no "we can help you with your luggage down the stairs", nothing. Rude attitude entitled people. There is NO Hospitality in this hotel. Other guests I met also were dismayed with the loud party type of atmosphere and drunkards at the property. There is caution tape near the elevator that seems permanent. Its junky close to the elevator, dark and creepy.

I really enjoyed the pool by the water. The rooms was a little dated but overall clean. Beds weren't too confortable. We had originally book a 2 queen and something happened that changed us to a suite with 2 full bed the room was larger but the smaller beds were a bit uncomfortable for our family of 4. But overall I liked it. I think the price was fair. There is a restaurant on site, but is not hotel property, it seemed nice with tiky bars we did not try it. I would stay there again if ever in the area.
