Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! My husband and I went to Mountain Top for our anniversary, and it couldn't have been more lovely. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming, and between the room, the food and the amenities, we felt pampered and completely at home. And the property is simply breathtaking. This is very likely the beginning of an annual tradition for us!

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! My husband and I went to Mountain Top for our anniversary, and it couldn't have been more lovely. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming, and between the room, the food and the amenities, we felt pampered and completely at home. And the property is simply breathtaking. This is very likely the beginning of an annual tradition for us!

Really enjoyed the time here. Restaurant on property is amazing. Lobster chowder is a must! Was upset some things like horseback riding and boats were not available. Massage in the spa was terrible… hence why I took a star off. Beautiful scenery and felt homy. Enjoyed the time but next time will try other similar resorts.

Rm very small, located on 1st floor over a delivery entry; tiny bathroom with no counter space; nice walk in shower but no safety bar(s); refrigerator that made sounds like a shower in next rm every 10-15 mins - all nite; only one window with screen; restaurant pleasant, food average; hot tub not up to par no working jets Grounds & buildings attractive & well kept, interior inviting.

Room was clean Staff not overly impressive-hostess at dining room let people wait for almost 10 mins before acknowledging them (not at a busy time) This place needs an elevator!!!!! Paid almost $350 per night and had to carry a heavy suitcase and bags up to 3rd floor!! Have stayed for less Money at many nicer properties

I loved the view from my room. I rode 3 times. The stable hands were wonderful. Their companionship and oversight during each ride was Great! Safety was priority! The stable staff was knowledgeable about each animal and loved each animal. Additionally, the inside serving staff was very helpful and competent. Thank you,

The resort was beautiful and the staff was friendly and accommodating! 4 people in the standard room w/ 2 fulls was a little tight but I think you're paying more for the resort as a whole. My only advice to the management is to better insulate the pipes since the hot water would sometimes take up to 5 minutes to come out, especially in the morning. Also, note the sauna is only open with the spa from 9-2pm. It would have been since to hit after a long day on the mountain, but the hours are listed on the website.

Long View Barn: Pros: gorgeous views, nice cabin/house, very clean, fully stocked kitchen. If they fix the below issues, I would say it may be worth the cost. But as is, I feel like it was overpriced. Cons: For the price of the unit, we assumed we would get a newer, comfortable mattress to match the level of the unit. Unfortunately the mattress in the primary bedroom was old and needs to be replaced- you felt like you were sinking into the middle - we both woke up with back pain. In addition, the wine glasses were a cloudy mess with etching from dishwasher - they looked dirty. We drank wine from our Yetis that we brought from home. Come on, for the $850 per night you are charging for this unit (all in with taxes and fees) you should get a comfortable and not ancient mattress and clean wine glasses. Finally, they offer free shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, which is great, but it is virtually impossible to get the lotion and the conditioner out of the bottle. I had to get out of the shower get someone with stronger hands to help (and so did another member of our party). Finally the front desk was just okay - I felt like i was annoying them each time I had a question. The place has great potential. I hope they can make some small changes so they can make it worth the price!

This property is situated in a spectacularly beautiful area. The staff was friendly and the food service was very good. That said, the very expensive room was disappointing - particularly because our room was lit by three small table lamps with what seemed like 40-watt bulbs. So dark! After sunset we had to use flashlights to find things. Extremely disappointing.

The inn is spectacular and the staff is great. The o Lu bad thing is that you can hear everything, including walking, in rooms above and next to yours in the inn. It would be great if the hotel made more of an effort to make guests aware of this so people can have a more restful stay.

We booked expecting a quiet getaway but were extremely disappointed because there was a wedding here which limited our dining experience (could not eat in their dining room, however tavern was very nice and food excellent). Not much help with excessive noise from staff after 11:00. This was a Wednesday night. Noise continued past midnight.

Finally, they offer free shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, which is great, but it is virtually impossible to get the lotion and the conditioner out of the bottle. I had to get out of the shower get someone with stronger hands to help (and so did another member of our party). Finally the front desk was just okay - I felt like i was annoying them each time I had a question. The place has great potential. I hope they can make some small changes so they can make it worth the price!

Long View Barn: Pros: gorgeous views, nice cabin/house, very clean, fully stocked kitchen. If they fix the below issues, I would say it may be worth the cost. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! My husband and I went to Mountain Top for our anniversary, and it couldn't have been more lovely. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming, and between the room, the food and the amenities, we felt pampered and completely at home. And the property is simply breathtaking. This is very likely the beginning of an annual tradition for us!

Really enjoyed the time here. Restaurant on property is amazing. Lobster chowder is a must! Was upset some things like horseback riding and boats were not available. Massage in the spa was terrible… hence why I took a star off. Beautiful scenery and felt homy. Enjoyed the time but next time will try other similar resorts.

This property is situated in a spectacularly beautiful area. The staff was friendly and the food service was very good. That said, the very expensive room was disappointing - particularly because our room was lit by three small table lamps with what seemed like 40-watt bulbs. So dark! After sunset we had to use flashlights to find things. Extremely disappointing.

Room was clean Staff not overly impressive-hostess at dining room let people wait for almost 10 mins before acknowledging them (not at a busy time) This place needs an elevator!!!!! Paid almost $350 per night and had to carry a heavy suitcase and bags up to 3rd floor!! Have stayed for less Money at many nicer properties

We booked expecting a quiet getaway but were extremely disappointed because there was a wedding here which limited our dining experience (could not eat in their dining room, however tavern was very nice and food excellent). Not much help with excessive noise from staff after 11:00. This was a Wednesday night. Noise continued past midnight.

Beautiful setting and views, perfect venue for events. Personable staff were superb. The event dinners were excellent. Many activities are available. Cons: Room decor was tired. The food menu choices are limited. Breakfast buffet for $20 is the only choice and food was not good both days we ate there. Lunch was Ok. Suggest adding specials to menus.

The grounds are beautiful. The room was lovely. We did have an issue with the thermostat and controlling the temperature. Our greatest issue was the fact that even with the resort Wi-Fi connected and the password put in, the service was so poor that the phone wouldn’t work from one second to the next which made it incredibly difficult, almost impossible, to communicate with other parties on the grounds and coordinate for the event we were attending. Also, because of the poor Wi-Fi connection, we could not work the TV. Even with the password, it was not connecting and was essentially useless. The place is gorgeous and the views are incredible so if you’re looking for a romantic getaway or an escape from everyday life, I highly recommend.
