Cambria Hotel Minneapolis Maple Grove

We booked this hotel because it had a very nice view of the hot tub and the pool for our anniversary. But when we got there, we were surprised because it was not functioning and told us this was broken for the past 30 days. I believe it was a scam and the price was not reasonable at all, and the breakfast was not very good.

Breakfast although was mundane. No fruit. Waffles made in a toaster are a no go for me. Only one washcloth for two people? The pool was very small and closed without notice for an apparent chemical imbalance. The king bed room was nicely laid out with a small area with a couch and separate TV.

Limited continental breakfast, pool was small, hot tub was hot but jets didn’t work. There were minimal lights and limited amenities in the room itself.

Pool and spa closed (the reason we selected this one). Check in employee cold, other two looking bored, one sitting on the counter, both staring at us getting checked in, very unprofessional. Cleaning and maintenance equipment here and throughout the hotel, but otherwise clean. Our first, and likely, last stay in a Cambria Hotel.

Front desk gal checking in was great. Didnt see anyone at desk after that for 2 days. No bar staff.

The work-out room is missing all of the handles and pull down ropes. I couldn't get the TV to work in the work-out room, I saked the front desk for help they never sent anyone. The room was very nice.

I world like to see more fruit options for breakfast, I would like to see the bar reopen, Sounds like a lot of people miss having the bar at the Maple Grove location.

The swimming pool was warm. The rooms were clean and updated.

This hotel is beautiful and located in a safe area. They had great amenities on site. A full gym, pool and spa as well as breakfast and bar.

Did not like it that we shared the pool with another hotel

The sink in our bathroom would not drain and was disgusting. Breakfast area was great, breakfast was meh. The hot tub and pool were disgusting. Could not even see the bottom of the pool. Staff was nice.

Things were not cleaned in the hotel room. Nothing major, but the remotes were dirty. Shelf below the sink in the bathroom was dusty. Brown in the bottom of toilet. We wiped down the tub and there was a yellowish tint on the towel.

My stay was ok not great the bed had these metal parts sticking out the side and I now have a bruise on my ankle from walking into it when I got there. When I first get to the room I inspect it and I noticed the couch had stains and some of the pillows had some stains there was dried food on the walls. And 2 towels had stains and then room had a weird smell. And the breakfast was terrible. But the worst part is getting hurt on the bed the first night there and now I have a big bruise that hurts so bad that I thought I fractured my ankle. We didn’t say anything because it is a nice hotel just has flaws and we aren’t complainers because we have stayed in far worse places.

We were very disappointed with our recent stay. When we arrived, the pull-out couch had old, dirty sheets that were bunched up and visibly soiled. My husband had to go down to the front desk to get clean sheets because none were provided in the room. After changing them ourselves and getting the kids tucked into bed, we discovered our bed had a wet spot. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be urine that had soaked through and carried a strong odor. The staff did switch our room after we reported the second issue, but the process was extremely inconvenient, especially since it was already around 10:30pm and we had to repack the kids and move everything after we had finally settled in. To make matters worse, we were not offered any form of compensation for the inconvenience, despite the severity of the situation. While the staff tried to resolve the immediate problem, the condition of the original room was unacceptable and it really impacted the overall experience.

We were given a handicapped room. The hand held shower was not working correctly. There was black mold around the floor of the shower! Wallpaper was coming off the wall by shower. Toilet water was ruining, Sink faucet was to close to mirror and facet would not open all the way! We did not see this until getting ready for the day this morning or would have requested another room! We were in Room 116. Did stat our concerns when leaving and gal did say she was sorry no idea if any action was taken as she didn’t write anything down

The furniture in the rooms was dirty. Sticky stuff all over. Holes in the wall.

Breakfast food could have been better but everything was clean and everyone was pleasant.

We ended up leaving and not staying the night. Upon check-in we noticed the toilet seat was broken, but dropped off bags and went out for dinner. When we returned, we noticed more wrong with the room, food/something on the headboard. Red wax/stains on the floor, mirrors still dirty, hair in the bathroom. We went to the pool area, the pool and hot tub were disgusting and smelled so bad. Dirty towels and drink cups laying around. We decided to just check out as the cleanliness was deterring us from being comfortable.

Everything was great except the shower needs a good cleaning. Lots of black spots on the wall. Not sure if it is mold or not. Get rid of that and it will be perfect. Very nice hotel.

Sheets didn’t smell clean; keys to the room would stop working randomly; slow WiFi.

The highway noise was unbearable.

Inconsistent wifi in the room was problematic on a business trip.

We were visiting Maple Grove, MN for business meetings. We wanted a comfortable hotel with work areas (desk, sitting room). Cambria Hotel in Maple Grove had new, fresh rooms that fit our needs.

The suite room set up is excellent. Wonderful space with a sitting area. The only things i would change are the really small pillows and lack of a big warm comforter for chilly MN nights.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The building itself was pretty. Our room was dusty, coffee pot dirty, mini fridge was so frozen up we couldn't keep anything cold, the beds where HORRIBLE!!! We had a king suite with a pull out couch and the king bed was all springs and sunken in the middle you kept rolling down all night, did not sleep at all, in fact we woke up with backaches. The pull out mattress was very old, springy and uncomfortable. the pool was very small, but temp was good. Breakfast was ok at best. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place or stay again.

Hotel is very nice, clean, modern. Staff is friendly. Our room had a sitting area with TV and desk. Bed was comfortable. The only one large minus for me is nearby highway noise all night long. AC is also noisy. If you are not noise sensitive, I would recommend Cambria.

The room was unique and could easily be billed as a suite. There was a good sized bedroom with a king, an entertainment room with large tv and a sleeper couch, a decent sized living area with storage, microwave, fridge and office space as well as a generous bath and awesome shower.

One of the reasons I selected this hotel was. For the pool, it was closed. Our one TV did not work, we requested repairs several times, it did not happen. Locked out of room last night

The rooms are very dark. There is one lamp by the beds and dim wall sconses over the couch. Thats all. There was a desk lamp, but it didnt work. The pillows are awful as well. The space in the room was nice.

It took at least 15 minutes for someone to check us in. Very nice young woman appeared to be pulled off housekeeping to do check in’s. Our room was pre-paid, however we were required to pay a $100 deposit. Breakfast was literally a joke, no milk at all anywhere, had to search for the coffee, very limited choices of anything to eat. Website is extremely misleading. Many employees standing around chatting amongst themselves, not one of them greeted us. We’ve been staying at this hotel for the past 5 years for medical reasons, we will not return.

The front desk lady was very rude & dismissive. The first night there was a Tuesday evening. We went to the car to grab stuff & were harassed by someone we believe was sleeping in his truck rather than getting a room. The man opened his dark tinted window and began screaming at us that we were stalking him bc the headlights were on, we were backed in and he was in front of our car not even parked in a marked designated area by the curb. It looked like he just woke up, or might have been in thd middle of something with someone else IDK. I told the front desk woman and she basically blew me off. I told her to tell her manager and she rolled her eyes at me. I knew then that nothing would be done. He was there in his car againn the second night too. I know because we saw him in there again the second night, his truck running bc it was cold. If he had done or harassed us again we were going to call the police since we knew they wouldn't do a thing. We were afraid he would vandalize our car since he knew what we drove. After we checked out, I realized that I left my laptop cord in the room and called the hotel, same lady answer's the phone. After a quick look I was told that nothing was found in the room. I gave her my number, and also told her that I was on the way back to get it. I told her exactly where it was, behind the desk against the wall. When I got there she had me wait 45 minutes & finally she went to the room to look herself, but "Wasn't there". Never heard back

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean and very affordable. The AC worked perfect. The breakfast was just okay but overall the experience was very favorable.

Only one washcloth on checkin, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels for 2 people next morning I asked for 3 washcloths from the front deck. After about 5 minutes the clerk gave me 2 washcloths and implied that I was a washcloth thief. That afternoon when we were out the maid entered the room and took the used washcloth from the day before and one of the 2 washcloths I got that morning leaving us with 1 washcloth for 2 people. On check out I asked to speak with the manager, but was told he/she was busy. Waited 20 minutes and left. The shower had mildew around the base and the water pressure was low.

Desk lady was very helpful, she carried my bag to my room I'm mobility challenged. Actually she met me outside and did it. I sat in chair while she checked me in

We got double charged for 1 night, having spent 5 nights there but charged for 6. Nobody at the front desk could help us and said to call customer service! Wouldn’t stay there again!

What a busy night!! The team on board tonight is doing so well! Thank you for your hustle guys. Front desk checkin gentleman was so very prompt and friendly. Handled customers very professionally! The bar tender was running around. Great job! Thanks for our stay.

The rooms are great! Spacious and comfortable and exactly what our family was looking for. We really appreciated the separate living space. It could use a slightly better clean and update, but overall, we were very happy with it. The pool area is well-maintained, and the lobby is great for socializing. The staff is AMAZING! Everyone was welcoming and informative

Great location, lots of shops and dinning options, pleanty of parking.

The Cambria is doing an excellent job providing comfortable accomodations for less cost. The bed was perfect. They have been updating the room and they are improving since my initial stay six months ago. Don't be too put off by the floor that are in the middle of a rebuild. Breakfast was consistent if uninteresting. It will fill you up. Staff was excellent, helpful and friendly.

Everything was great, expect for the hotel being next to the major highway, so difficult to sleep during the night from the traffic sound.

The rooms looked nice. The reception area was welcoming. Staff was very friendly. Negatives include cleaning staff did a poor job cleaning the bathroom. Hair from previous occupant was still on shower wall so little concerning whether the rest of room was really cleaned. Breakfast was very simple lacking much variety especially yogurt (just blueberry) just disappointing.

I was pretty disappointed when the website states a restaurant and bar on site. There is a small bar in the lobby that offers alcohol but no restaurant. I had planned to relax and eat there for my dinner, so I’m bummed that it stated a restaurant with different hours even then the bar. May want to update the website

Ok. It’s completely understaffed. No restaurant or bar like Cambrias have. Breakfast is terrible. Towels are paper thin. It’s clean. Its nice. It’s just not a full service hotel.

I like that they had a pool, restaurant, a bar, and breakfast. However, the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. The was a big chunk of food in the corner and pink confetti through out the room. Otherwise it was a nice hotel. The staff were very friendly.

This was a nice hotel and the maintenance person was great and front desk. My disappointment was because the bar and restaurant was under construction and had been closed through covid. The website did not mention this at all and it listed both. Nice accommodations and would give it another shot. Pool and hot tub is adequate but small if there were many people.

When I book two rooms together that means I prefer two rooms to be at least on the same floor. My second room was for my kids that end it up staying in the floor below us. When asked at the checking in two have rooms at least on the same floor response back was that’s automated at the time of booking your rooms are assigned. Do something to change your system then. Breakfast was horrible, not enough of choices and it wasn’t appealing to even try anything to eat.
