Nice hotel. Disappointed the spa/hot tub was closed. The heater was also very loud. Beds were comfortable. Two of the staff we encountered were friendly, professional and courteous and two others barely spoke and didn't even smile.

The hotel pool has a very rough walking surface, toddler said “ouch” plenty of times and I agreed. Ventilation of the pool should be done, very strong smell! The room itself felt a old but was clean.

Staff was friendly and the room was clean. It was a little run down. (The caulking in the shower was brown and peeling.) The refrigerator makes a pretty loud buzzing noise. I use earplugs and I was barely in the room. Otherwise, it would have driven me nuts.

My room still had hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower. I asked for my room to be re done but was told my front desk there was no staff and I could come down and get supplies if I wanted to..which I of course did. Why wouldnt I? I dont know what viruses are in the bathroom! When I checked out the next morning, I wasnt even asked how my stay was. Wont be coming back.

This was the friendliest and most attentive hotel staff we’ve experienced in a long time. From check in to departure, everyone was fantastic. The room, pool area, lobby and breakfast room were clean and well maintained. If ever back in the area, we will definitely stay again.

Great room, great staff, close to lots of restaurants. Great place to stay, only thing that was unpleasant was when i went to use the shower. I pulled the shower curtain closed and found a used wash cloth hanging over the shower curtain.

The mattress was uncomfortable but the pillows were worse. I have never felt such a hard pillow. Our fridge was full of old food, which the girl working cleaned out, but she missed the eggs that were still in there. We were so uncomfortable we ended up leaving at 3 in the morning and just drove home.

We always enjoy our stay here. The pool and Spa are excellent! Only thing to note is that the rooms on Road side are a little noisier... but still, not bad at night time. Very friendly reception desk!

Property is in a good location and has ample parking. Downtown Hastiings is super cute and has a nice bike path. The mattresses are worn out and shower head restricts water pressure. The bathroom fan was very loud.

The staff at Nicolas Inn were all kind, professional, and interested in making our stay a good one. The pool and hot tub area is exceptional! Although it is an older hotel, it has been well-maintained and is very clean. The Continental breakfast is way above average. The only minor glitch is that we could never get the Wi-Fi to work in our room. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Hastings and would highly recommend it.

In complete exhaustion after my fathers death the front desk women was kind but incompetant and charged me twice for my room. I pleaded my case best I could and told her my room was already paid through my Hotels.com. Justice at this point, probably not. Why wasnt I protected as a Hotels.com loyal customer?

So disappointed with Nichols Inn. We were there for a hockey tournament and the second night the front desk threatened to call the police on us, the parents! We were sitting in the lobby (they had closed off the breakfast area and said we couldn’t use that area) eating pizza and having some drinks. It was calm, quiet and we were visiting with another team as well. The front desk person said we were loitering, we needed to leave or she’d call the police. They also closed the pool down but our boys were not swimming at the time. This was at 8:40pm!

Very disappointed in staff. Had tv issues it was resolved in a time manner second night same thing and was told nothing I can do for you and another room had the same issue. Need to get there act together. Then Sunday morning my grandsons straw out of his veti type cup fell in the ice machine drain ,the employee was to busy on her phone to give a crap as to what just happened even to think she might help. Disappointing

This is an older but well kept motel feel that renovated its self with a new pool and hot tub addition. Close to dining options. The breakfast options were great. Making your own omlette staion was a nice treat. Our room had an odor to it might want to try some deoderizers.

Motel was older but room was clean, bed nice. However, no mention on-line or when checking in that motel had NO elevator and our room was on the 2nd floor. In addition, reviews indicated that breakfast was great. However, during our stay breakfast was minimal and did not look or taste good.

Motel was older but room was clean, bed nice. However, no mention on-line or when checking in that motel had NO elevator and our room was on the 2nd floor. We arrived pretty late and the staff member helping was a little rude and short with me. He wasn’t at the desk so my husband and I waited and hit the bell a few times before he came to the front. One of the pillows had drool stains on it. In one of our rooms the latch to lock the door was broken and the bathroom door didn’t close properly. The manager was very nice and understanding though. We had car trouble and she allowed us to stay in the rooms an hour after checkout until we could figure out if we needed to stay another night. Other than the issues listed the place was nice.

Clean room, but dated furniture and bath plug did not operate. Rooms really need a new paint job. AC was really loud. but over all a clean and friendly hotel. Nothing overly negative. and in total had a good few days.
