I'd happily stay again at the Hotel Queen Elizabeth in Gödöllo, which is essentially a suburb of Budapest, Hungary. Everything was great with one exception, which was the temperature. Even though it was cold outside much of the time, the hotel was too warm for my taste and the thermostat in my room seemed to do nothing. Eventually, I just opened the window to get come cool fresh air. At least it was possible to open the windows, that's often not possible. Overall, the hotel building is charming, everything worked, the staff were great and the breakfast was excellent, and served in a beautiful restaurant. Hungary is a beautiful safe country with a fascinating history and Gödöllo is full of pleasant polite people. It was particularly lovely when I was there at the end of October, with the many trees showing autumn colors. The whole experience there was good enough to make me want to go back and take my wife.

The property did not have a bar or restaurant available. It seemed to be open 2 nights for private functions but not for guests. Additionally when the restaurant was used for private functions the car park was full meaning as a guest I was unable to park at the hotel.

A little dated in the decor but a good hotel for location and the staff were very polite and welcoming - the breakfast was included but wouldn't have paid for it (not great for vegetarians)
