Motel 6-Grand Junction, CO

Overall its fine. It was fairly clean. Ice machine did not work. But it is walking distance to the airport and you can leave your vehicle at the motel while you are on your trip for a much lower fee compared to parking at the airport, plus they give you 3 days for free. My airport parking was going to be roughly $75 for my trip, Motel 6 charged me $10 for the entire time there. I would stay there again if I needed to fly out of GJ. The staff was very nice.

This motel wasn’t very clean and the rooms were terrible. Our mini fridge buzzed all night and didn’t cool, the beds were awful, ice machines didn’t work, pool was half empty and filthy. Probably the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. Not to mention there was trash and alcohol cans/bottles everywhere outside

Even by Motel 6 standards, which are pretty low, this was a pretty beat-up property. Both ice machines were broken. The pool was full of dirty green water. One of my lamps did not have a bulb. I can't recommend staying there unless you can't afford anything else.

This is a nice hotel for the value. Room was clean and basic but for the price this place is great. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Lots of places for your pets and the best is pets stay free:) definitely will be staying again and I recommend to anyone looking for a cheap stay this is it for the grand junction area.

Pool was closed, no compensation

In for the night, but had time to dip in the pool, have dinner at a nearby place and a quiet sleep.

Both ice machines out of order. TV worked intermittently. Front desk wanted me to pay for room that was already paid for

This property was absolutely disgusting

Terrible odor in the room and not very clean. Bought Lysol spray to help with odor - the air vents were extremely dirty. The microwave would turn on but the shaft that turns the turntable sounded as if it had rusted and resisted turning, letting out a high pitched noise. I mentioned it to front desk but they weren't willing to do anything about it. They told me "that's good to know". The TV remote was disgustingly dirty and sticky, the shower had brown stains running from the top - which actually washed off easily. I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room thoroughly. The wifi did work well, and it was quiet at night. So not all bad. I won't however stay there again.

i walked into a room that still had garbage from the previous customers in it and woke up with a used tissue inder my pillow ( not mine). the tv remote did not work and the sink barely dribbled water. the toilet has no lid and sounds like a rocketship when flushed. this room was so inexcusably terrible that i left a day early. told no possibility of a refund.

Motel allows pets, fine. But clean the rooms! Room had clumps of animal hair/fur under the bed, scattered cat litter on the floor and animal hair on the pillows. Asked to moved rooms, was told it was not possible.

Everyone is so nice and the room is very clean.

Dirty room. Didn’t seem like they wash the pillow cases. They smell like sweat. Mold In the shower. Vinyl floor is peeling off.

Room was barely cleaned. Hair left on shower walls, sheets had stains & bed has a broken spring. Smelled like cigarettes. Door didn’t fully seal, huge safety concern.

The room could have been cleaned so much better. Everything was worn especially the bathroomand looked dirty and the bedding had a nasty stain.

My goal for a motel is to find a cheap and clean place to sleep and shower. I want no frills because im usually out having fun and am only there a short time...to sleep and to shower. This is a no frills place and i liked it just fine. I guess the one thing i wasnt thrilled about is that our particular room had a bed that was put against the wall. So if i needed to used the batroom in the night i had to climb over my husband or scoot to the end of the bed to get out. Not a fan. The temp in the room also seemed a tad warm for us (even on the coolest setting). Over all it was fine and id probably stay again for the price..

Dirty, bugs, door didnt lock, water pressure low, bed old and lumpy. Place needs leveled and rebuilt.

No air conditioning in the room, very out dated, beds uncomfortable.

Thw young man in the office did a great job. The bed was old, overused, and made a lot of noises when getting in or turning over. The room vibrated. It would do it for several minutes at a time, as if there was laundry being done against the wall.

Upon arrival the A/C in the room was obviously not working as it was hotter than the 95 + degree temperature outside. Notified staff and was told to wait a bit and make sure system was turned on. They also told me that fans were available. After returning to the front desk, they did change my room with no questions. The second room did have working A/C, barely. Even on 70 degree evenings, the room was still warmer than the outside temperature. I ended up sleeping with the window open and the A/C cranked. The bed was comfortable and the only other with the room was the floor in the bathroom. Pictures are attached. I did not pursue the A/C issue or the bathroom issue as I was truly just sleeping there. I guess the old adage that you get what you pay for is correct. All of my other staff interactions were fine. I just wouldn’t ever recommend this place. This is the 4th time that I have visited this area and the first time I have been disappointed with my lodging choice. All 3 other places are within 1 mile of the location in question.

The receptionists behind the desk were very friendly. The morning person(the one with the mustache) was especially good. He knows Jesus Christ and through his efforts the rooms have Bibles in them. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful staff , clean rooms and surrounding area

We arrived at the hotel, and the girl at the reception was disrespectful. She clearly informed us that there was no air conditioning in our room due to renovations. We’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times before, but it hasn’t improved; the room was still dirty. Last time, about a month ago, we faced the same issue with no air conditioning until we complained, and only then did they manage to provide us with a solution. How can you publish online that you have air conditioning during the summer when there is none? Please double check this hotel removed this from ur list a crap hotel in Colorado junction no hospitality we walk out and did not check in as no aircon

Waited for 30 minutes for someone to show up at the office to check me in. After calling another motel 6 nearby and finding out they had no link but the manager of theirs knew the manager of the one I as checking in to and would call her. The time went on and I had called and found another motel and was leaving when she showed up. And then gave us a room with 1 bed rather than the 2 bed one I paid for... & everything was out of order.

We got no room they overbooked

I had already paid for the room through Travelocity and got dou le charhed by Motel 6 and now have to go through the dipsute process which is very frustrating. The clerk informed me i would not be charged and was charged anyways.

I stay at this property when I need a night away. Tony was very good - polite and ready for me at check-in, as usual. The holiday decorations in the lobby were tasteful, and the room was especially clean. It had been newly repainted, and a space heater had been provided to take the edge off of the cold until the main heater had the room to temperature. Very welcoming. Very relaxing stay.

Super disappointed. I called earlier in the day and they said they had lower level handicap rooms available. I got there and they only had second floor. My door did not shut all the way and the lock was broken. When i told the manager the next day, he came out yelling that nothing was wrong even though i have video and picture of the door…

Surprsingly it was a very quiet place considering it was so clloe to rhe highway and shops!

For the price point, this was a really great hotel. They do no provide any shampoo or hair dryer. We did not get maid service as we were only there for 2 nights. It's basically at the end of the road before the airport. Thankfully, not many planes fly out of there, so it was actually very nice and quiet.

It's a basic, no-frills room but clean with a decent memory foam mattress. Definitely worth the price and walking distance to the airport. Although asking if the rooms are all non-smoking and being told yes, the room definitely smells smoky even after airing it out until the sun went down.

I like the outside area where guests can hang out. It’s very convenient too bec it’s very close to the airport.

This is a Motel 6, right next to the airport. It’s typically the cheapest stay in town, so you get what you pay for. It’s a room that is as clean as it’s gonna get. This location could use some updates. You got a couple of beds, a tv to watch and it’s close to the airport and there are a lot of options for food nearby. Also, your kids and pets stay free, so if you are just passing through and need a place to lay your head for the night, you may as well save a few bucks and stay here. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was around the back and it was quiet. No complaints, just don’t expect a breathtaking experience. As I said, it’s a Motel 6 right next to the airport, it is what it is.

Motel 6 is more cost effective in the area but as to be expected could use a little remodel. Located right off the highway and just next to the airport makes a great location.

It was within walking distance of the airport. We had an early flight and didn’t know if there was a way to get to the airport. There was no shampoo or conditioner or anyway to get it. It would have been nice to at least be able to ask the front desk for some. There were some sketchy people there and they were loud walking to and from their rooms at all hours of the night. Overall it served it purpose.

I found out by surprise that I was right behind the airport, which was walking distance to the airshow I was attending. People were camping out in front of the property to watch. Not the most aesthetic, but a generous gesture by the management. Staff was very nice and I didn't have a problem giving them more time to clean my room before checking in. However, their idea of clean was less than what I would have expected. Considering pets are allowed, you can tell that animals (dogs) were here by the smell. It was musty and the vents were very dusty. The property is very dated. Rust around the shower, cracks in the corners, minimal outlets. The bathroom light didn't work. I'm hoping this was not an ADA room because there was NO room for a wheelchair. The shower stall was more like a public bathroom stall. Uneven bed and table. The AC ran cool for awhile, then began to get warm and pump out the doggie musk. NO continental breakfast. Just coffee. It was decent enough for what I paid for. Fairly close to the National Monument and other natural attractions nearby. No bugs or roaches. Conveniences were close by (Walmart, groceries, gas stations, shopping). Not sure I would stay here again, but it's not off the list.

The internet was worse than terrible, so slow, very hard to make connection, no refrigerators, no microwaves, the bathroom door in our room did not close because it was coming apart. The flooring around the toilet looked like it could collapse because the wood looked rotten. Normally a room has Kleenex, but not this room. in today's world a continental breakfast comes with the room, not here, you are lucky to get a cup of coffee, but what if you don't drink coffee??? In Grand Junction there are two Motel 6's I wish I had reserved in the other one. Our stay was not a pleasant on at this Motel, I would not rate or recommend this motel to anyone. I am very sorry I stayed here. The clerk that checked us in was very nice, its sad he is working at this site.

Nothing to really like. Arrived at 4pm, told come back in an hour as rooms were not ready; ice machines not working and no fridge in room or facility to make a coffee. If you only want a bed, shower then this is about their limit.

Well you get what you pay for. Didn't spend much so didn't get much. No coffee pot, no fridge, no safe, which was expected. The a/c situation was bad. Some rooms had a/c some not & mine, a portable unit needing to be exhausted through a hose that was fitted through a window insert (the insert was wedged between the window frame and window meaning there was no way to lock the room as the window couldn't be locked with it slightly open to accomodate the a/c exhaust insert. Certainly this was not as bad as others whom were viewed asleep clothed on their bed, drapes and window open due to there being no a/c in the room. Quite a shock seeing that as I walked out of my room toward the stairs. I moved furniture to better accomodate air flow out of the portable a/c finding and in doing so found a large stain where something spilled and dried on the floor. And on night #1, I was sitting outside my room because it hadn't cooled sufficiently only to be acosted by another "guest" who was sketchy at best and just gave off an extreamly creepy vibe appearing to be one ready to do harm via some nafarious act. I went into my room but the whole encounter left me uneasy with especially since the room could not be secured. I didn't expect the ritz but again you get what you pay for and I didn't pay much.

Sorry no the property did not offer room service and when I booked it through trivago is not told there was no microwave no refrigerator no coffee pot and the first day that me and my granddaughter got there I made a complaint because the air conditioning wasn't working and it was like 90° in there just as hot as it was outside I made a complaint to the front desk and let him know waited three days and nothing happened finally got irritated enough that I told him me and my granddaughter leaving because I was upset that nobody was fixing that air conditioning and we would die in the room they are reimbursing me for the last two days but I feel like I should get a little bit of reimbursement for the three days that we were suffering too and of course I told you guys that they were going to lie about the whole situation and they sure did but I have plenty of witnesses that know that room did not have an air conditioning and stuff in it so I'm going to take other measures to take care of getting some of my money back and I will not recommend hotel motel 6 in Grand Junction to anybody they are rude the one house and she even said our air conditioning wasn't working so whoever you talk too till 6:00 was a liar I did tell the front desk girl that we had a bad air conditioning the first day second day the housekeeper even said the air conditioning wasn't working third day I went down and told him we were leaving and they said I didn't tell him we were leaving and I did so not happy w

For what l paid to stay here l was expecting certain amenities and didn’t get them. ice to be available! For less l have gotten a fridge in the room and a microwave as well as a hairdryer. Here, l didn’t even get shampoo! Basically you get a bed and bathroom. Not even coffee was offered in the morning. The hotel itself was badly in need of maintenance. The floor was cracked and peeling. The cover to the bathroom fan was falling off and the fan itself made this horrible squealing sound. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and the grounds were kept up. I felt safe enough. It’s literally right next to the airport and a bunch of places to eat and convenient. It should be half the price for what you get though.

The place had 3 ice machines that were broken. The only thing available for breakfast was coffee which was empty. The lobby had a portable air conditioner with hoses running out the window. If I had to do it again. I would spend another $10 in a stay at a better facility.
