Motel 6-Cedar Rapids, IA - Airport

The room was clean, the hot tub was clean and the bedding was clean. It was quite noisy at night but for the money we paid for the room it was to be expected. All these other reviews complaining about stuff really seems like they are expecting a five star hotel with two star hotel prices. The tv worked, lots of channels too. The fridge and microwave were clean and both worked. The parking lot was well lit and we were able to park right outside of our room window so we were able to look out and see our car.

I liked making reservation way in advance. I didn’t like my request for a lower level room didn’t happen. No elevator so I had to climb to the second floor with my bad knee.

The stay was ok. Just needed a place to rest for a few hours from a NY to SD drive that I could have my dogs. I arrived at like 1 130 am and it felt a little sketchy. Lot of people roaming around, people living out of campers close by. Was worried my 50 year old vintage car might not of been there in the morning when I woke up was the vibe I got overall.

I was surprised to see that hot tub/jacuzzi in the room when Inwalked in! As it turned out, in my 5 days, I never even used it!

Property said it had wifi, but didnt work all weekend. Rooms had a musty smell to them, no pressure for shower. Water was leaking from air conditioner and made a river in room

It was affordable. The internet was terrible. Had a hard time getting to anything most of the time. Staying at a motel needs to include internet when it is advertised. Was VERY DISAPPOINTED!

The staff are outstanding at this property, my really only complaint is the wyfi is horrible.

The cleanliness of the hotel room as well as shared space (hallway) was terrible. There were stains on walls from splatters. The tub was dirty. The carpet in the hallway was horrible

Very Dirty and loud!!!! I spent the first night cleaning my room up!!!! I couldn't get my Money back so I had to stay! No housekeeper for 5 days and the dirt was built up every where in my room, holes in towels and blankets!!!!! This is a 1 night emergency stay place or rent by the hour type place. Definitely not for relaxing or business!

Everything was borderline dirty and smelly especially outside, the wifi was also very poor. There were roaches crawling on the bed as well…

This place was disgusting. It’s obvious it’s never cleaned. The hallways were covered with stains, trash and sticky residue on your shoes. The room was sticky around the beds, there was an exposed wall outlet, the shower was covered in mold and the WiFi didn’t work. To top it off, I was bitten several times by bed bugs.

Air Conditioner/Fan was very loud. Bathtub and room was not clean. They allow animals and the place has an animal smell when you walk in the building.

People smoking Marijuana by the rear entrance door,no matter what time we went in through out the day,hallway carpets weren't vacuumed, very noisy doors slamming all night,couldn't sleep. No kleenex in our room when we 1st entered it,rooms smelled,just filthy... will never stay there again!!

The room floor was dirty. Our shoes stuck to it and it turned our socks black. The smoke alarm was in the desk. The tv remote didn’t change channels, the volume did work.

Very dirty. Very tired state. The room was good for what we needed, but was definitely smelly and dirty. It was rated at a 7 which was better than the last Motel 6 we stayed at, but this one wasn't anything better than that one.

The place is a filthy dirty mess!!!! The carpet is stained in the hallway! The bathtub is rusted clear through to the pipes. The floor is so dirty my feet actually STUCK TO THE FLOOR!!!! The mattress was NOT A QUEEN, as I requested!!!! The mattress moved freely about the bed, wouldn't stay in place. There wasn't anyone at the desk either night when I checked in, had to wait over 30 minutes to get checked in!!!!!!! The employees need to remember that the customer pays their wages and deserves to be treated well!!!!

Not clean as noted in previpus reviews. Stayed 27 days. My sister and i fixed the toilet seat. Was not attached Maintenence was supposed to do so never showed up. Bathroom vent disgusting, black mold in eall above toilet, AC bent was caked We cleaned it too. Staff was hot and miss Mostly miss. No help when i went to front desk. I put on request to speak to the GM. Nothing yet. Been a week.

The staff was great but the hall carpet was dirty. The room was outdated. The hot tub frame was chipping and cracking. The bed could be more comfortable. Nothing like pics

The bed was comfortable and reasonably clean. None of the lights at the bed were connected - I had to find the outlet and connect everything. Same with the DirecTV. Once I got everything connected, things were OK. The showerhead was awful- perhaps not enough water pressure.

It was loud all hours of the day/night. Dirty. There was fishing worms in our fridge upon check-in, our bedding had dirt all over it, the jet tub had gross floaties in it, even after cleaning it ourselves. No toilet paper provided. Vending machine kept eating our money. All around was not a pleasant stay.

TV didn't work, no light in the bathroom, flooring was buckled and I had to push the pieces together to avoid a tripping hazard, phone was non functional and unable to find the switch for light behind the bed

This room had the hardest mattresses, very small and lumpy pillows.the fridge smelled like rotten death when opened, the microwave was filthy and the toilet would not flush. The tv would not work. Would have been better at a rest stop in my car

Peggy was awesome, but the electrical/electronic situation in the room was not. The TV was stuck on one channel, so I sent to front desk and Peggy walked all the way back to our room with a couple extra remotes and helped us figure out the tv. There was only one power outlet that worked, over by the sink. We found a power strip under the bed console with many wires/cables that were not connected, so we connected them and then some of the outlets provided power. The heater/AC unit didn't allow us to adjust it, but it was too cold outside to unplug it, so we dealt with a high blast of air every 5 minutes that I could feel through the sheets.

Their platform beds are like sleeping on a torture rack; they have the tiniest bathrooms I've ever seen, not even room for a trash can in there; there was constant noise and fighting in other rooms, some rukus with police at 3 am; it was not clean. They charge extra for having a refrigerator in your room. I will not be going back to this place no matter how cheap it is.

The staff were responsive and courteous. The room was old, ac un adjustable, drifters outside all night, people in close by rooms up all night and LOUD.

Positives: Check in and check out process was quick and easy, and staff was friendly. Price, definitely the cheapest option. Room was OK, with faux wood floors. Heater worked well, important after a very cold day. Hot water in the shower was amazing, almost too warm. Negatives: Beds were not good, mattress only on top of a flat piece of wood, no box springs, pretty uncomfortable. Some moldy spots in the bathroom, and the showerhead was mediocre. Lots of noise from other tenants, including yelling, swearing and dogs barking. Walls in the room felt more like a prison than a hotel. Overall, it was pretty much what I expected when I booked. I just needed a bed to sleep in and a place to warm up after the game, without spending too much money and this fit the bill.

I stayed here two out of three nights so the 4th and the 6th I was in different rooms both days room 227 the first night and 239 last night the first night the TV didn't work and last night I made a video it's not appropriate to share I should have took pictures but there's about a 3-inch Gap underneath the door to the room why don't you have the proper size door the shower spills out all over the bathroom floor the towel rack in the bathroom is not connected to the wall properly at all and actually the upper bars are completely tore out of the drywall so it's only connected by the lower bars and on the upper bars where the screws would go into the wall they have black like it would be basically duct tape but it's black instead the next thing is there's two remotes for the TVs no instructions on how to use and I was able to get this one on and even flip channels but I couldn't adjust the volume I had to unplug it then I couldn't get it plugged back in finally when I did I wasn't able to use either remote to turn the TV on nor adjust anything so again I had no TV not to mention the condensation from the shower was all over my flooring all over the walls all over everything in the room the fan in the bathroom does not work worth a f and it also has black duct tape on it I don't know what the purpose of that was for because it wasn't like it was taped to the wall like the other towel rack was but my God there was pile of dog food on floor the place is disgusting I'm done there

The young man at the front desk was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The place was mostly pretty quiet despite being pretty full. This is my 2nd time staying here traveling for work with my 2 little dogs. I will be back.

Staff very good.

Arrived in Cedar Rapids on a late flight, and had a reservation. It was 30 degrees, snowing and blowing outside. When we arrived at the Cedar Rapids Motel 6 Airport location the desk clerk said he couldn’t check us in because his computer was down. They had plenty of rooms but wouldn’t give us one, even though I could show we had a reservation. How is this acceptable? I would think you better get a way to check in people who have reservations, when the “computer” is down, so this doesn’t continue to happen to someone else.

Hotel was awful. The service was awful. The front desk person was not at the desk when I arrived. They had a sign saying be back in 30 minutes, so I waited and they were not the friendliest person when they arrived. The room that I was given was terrible out of bad smell floor had dips and holes in the tiles. The cleanliness of the hotel was subpar.

Front Desk Employees Natasha and Fredqwan made my stay enjoyable, they were always smiling and laughing, they were there if help was needed, Seems like all the guests like them and had nothing but good things to say, I'll always come back

They are in the process of remodeling. New carpet in hallways and the laminate flooring in my rooms were stylish. Willard, Fredguan, and Natasha were very helpful!

The manger ( Angelina Arellano) was very very rude and disrespectful.She was also mouthy. They did not clean my room the whole stay. I will not stay nor do not recommend staying here. I do want to say Fredyaun Williams was very nice and polite.

Did NOT stay here. They had not received our reservation and even showing them my confirmation receipt, they would not allow us to check in. After over 45 min. Of waiting and calling your 888 numbers, we were offered a room if we wanted to stay and wait up to 24 hours to check in!! I had paid with a credit card so I am expecting a REFUND!!

Horrifyingly, dirty, unsafe, loud, noisy, barking, dogs sketchy area parking lot filled with drug dealers at 6 PM in the evening loitering at the front door, hallway reeked of smoke and other nasty smells room was filthy hair on the wall clogged drain no toilet paper no working TV. I’ve never seen a worst motel in my life again

The hotel hallways & stairs ate lined with dirty carpets & are very hazardous looking. The room did not have a fridge or microwave. It was a double bed room with two beds. This hotel is located in a somewhat convenient area with conveniece stores and food in walking distance. Theres alot of shady characters in and around the hotel but I felt safe most of the time. The front desk people were very friendly. For the rate we booked at ($45 per night) its pretty much what I expected, so I cant compliain. Id come here again to save money.

Quick overnight stay while in the area for some work. Friendly staff, location very close to anything you need, great price !

The guy at front desk was amazing when we checked in on Friday night. The hallways smelled like stale cigarette smoke and weed and dogs barking thru the night.It was basically a place to lay our heads since we had a nearby wedding. There were lots of nearby restaurants so lots of choices. Outside during the night I didn't feel it was tye safest area at night outside of the motel.

Motel location is VERY convenient for travelers to/from airport. But be careful, you get what you pay for. Motel is VERY OUT DATED AND HORRIBLE!! This is where the low class locals and people looking for a "GOOD TIME" come stay if you know what I mean. I checked in late Friday night.........1st HINT: If a motels' front door is locked after midnight, it's for a reason. Hallways to room was OVERRUN with the smell of marijuana. Paper thin walls.......you can hear EVERYONES conversation and TVs walking to the room. Once inside, MY GOD!! Small TV mounted to the wall. Tub was dirty, mold in cracks. I decided NOT to bathe the entire trip! Sinuses was on 100 the entire trip. Bed had NO COMFORTER. Just the white fitted sheet, the brown cover and then the white flat sheet on top. I can hear every foot step made from the folks in the room above me.....ALL NIGHT! I don't think those people ever went to sleep. Back to the paper thin walls........Saturday 9:00pm, there had to be a porn flick being made or someone's honeymoon night. The female moaning, groaning and the occasional clapping *wink* was the final straw. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL 6 TO ANYONE WITH DECENCY AND CLASS. THIS IS BELOW PEOPLE WITH STANDARDS. Mind you, the reviews are high and the pictures are very deceiving!! There's no way this Motel should even allowed to operate. I just new a police raid was about to happen at anytime. I slept with one eye open and my street clothes on, ready to go.
