The hotel itself is in pretty poor shape. As you came into our entrance to go to our room the vent was growing, literally. Really gross. The entrance lock did not work. So safety was a concern. The pool said under maintenance but I would say deconstruction. The lawnmower was parked in there Lol. Our room was ok but the door had a gap in it where the light of the hallway came in. Very basic. Our fridge quit working overnite and thankfully for this short trip I did not have insulin requiring refrigeration However the beds were comfortable and the pillows great!! Also every single staff person was friendly and helpful. OUTSTANDING The only other sketchy thing was all the homeless people around the hotel.

While my own room was in good condition, the rest of the property looked really worn out. I was told that renovation is going on, but to see the swimming pool area filled with trash was a bit much. Plus, the parking lot didn’t appear too safe, but thankfully nothing happened to my car.

Many broken windows in the entrance. Back door was not secure. Security latch in the room did not work No cups in the rooms Pool was not working However bed was comfortable and clean and we were there only one night just to sleep

Floors were dirty. Room smelled like smoke. No coffee pot. No blow dryer. Baseboarding was peeling away from walls. Shower head was out of the wall. At 270.00 for the night it was a terrible price to pay. When checking out, never asked how our stay was. Ice machine was broken. Pool was closed for maintenance.

Phones didn’t work, shower head didn’t work, TV didn’t work, the front desk guy said don’t eat the ice machine ice, the machine is dirty, and the pool was out of order too for a long time already, yet website shows a working pool, lastly the whole place smelt like smoke. I asked multiple times for the front desk person to help fix the phones because I felt unsafe, he said yeah yeah I’ll come, but never came gave up asking at 10:30pm.

Everything about the place was terrible. Everything was run down and dirty. Everything was sticky. Noisy people in room next door. Air con didn’t work right. It got to 90. The day we were there. Room smelled like cigarettes. No Kleenex in room. Beds and pillows uncomfortable. No elevator in whole building. Couldn’t understand man at check in. We didn’t use it or want it but pool was closed. Do not come to this hotel.

This place is a dump, other Motel 6’s I’ve stayed at are leaps and bounds better than this one. The desk person was nice and helpful but was experiencing computer/connectivity issues and wasn’t able to check us in. It was almost an hour before I got checked into my room. I made a reservation via Expedia and had to leave cash as a deposit at the desk. The cash was returned promptly in the morning. The parking lot was littered and the abandoned building next to it had people loitering outside of it. There were several people in parked cars in the motel parking lot. Smelled like marijuana outside as well as inside. There was a dog in one room constantly barking. We checked in around 2am and left by 6. I prefer the brand due to the cost and care normally provided but will not be using this location again.

Not as awful as the Bison Inn next door. This is a very low bar. The abandoned Burger King in the parking lot appears to be lived in by meth heads. Building is deteriorating. Rooms are damp. Flooring was falling apart in the room. Staff was slow. Felt like I might go thru the bottom of the tub with a misplaced step.

Not as pictured at all, dont trust the photos. I left within 15 mins of check in. The staff are super nice and professional however. But the room was sticky and unclean. The windows were unlocked and difficult to lock, unsafe on first floor. There was people in their cars outside my window at 1 am and can hear every word they said. There was a homeless person laying outside the door, and the side door was stuck open so anyone could come in. Dont stay here, an extra 20$ will get you a much safer and cleaner place. Not good for women travellers.

BEWARE OF ROACHES! BROKEN SHOWER!! I don't care how "affordable" this s$#@ hole is nobody should have to worry about roaches jumping into their luggage and taking them to their homes!!! Gross!! Our first room had a broken shower, that didn't work at all!! I had to sponge bathe to get ready for work. We got moved to the room next door that was so infested w roaches you could not walk across the room without stepping on one!! As far as customer service goes the night shift was gona make us pay a $30 early check in and $50 extra to switch rooms because we were unable to sleep after seeing the disgusting creatures crawling all over! This place needs to just str8 up be shut down! The hallway garbages were overflowing while the night clerk slept! I am calling the health department and better business bureau so nobody else has to go thru the horrible service and disgusting experience we have ever had in a hotel room!!! And that's in comparison to another Motel 6 experience when all the doors were kicked in by feds looking for a criminal hiding out in somebody's room!!

I was in a room that was filled with bed bugs. I have bites on me from top to bottom of my body. And they didn’t do anything about it. I know have to go to urgent care because off all the infected bites. I brought down 5 LIVE bugs I found crawling on me at 5am. And the night guy told me they can’t do anything about it.

Just horrible. The entire place smelled like smoke and triggered the worst allergies. We checked out in the first 4 hours, complained to front desk and before I could walk back to the room, I had lost door access. Tried contacting owners couple times after my trip, haven’t been able to get a hold of them. Hoping Expedia takes care of this booking experience. We stay at Motel 6 all the time, this is the first time the room was completely unacceptable. Moldy hallways, creepy old carpets. Do not book at this location!

Very dirty in the hallways walking to our room smelled like vomit. Inside the room smelled of strong bleach and the floors were sticky. Limited amenities no coffee pot, hairdryer, etc. Police were there both days we stayed. I don’t recommend and will not stay again.

After a 9 hour drive, all I wanted to do was relax. The place was HORRIBLE. 1st room they checked me into, the door didn’t shut all the way and it looked like it was kicked in recently. Also, there were ZERO lamps in the room and the window didn't lock for a ground floor room. The second room they moved me to wasn't any better. This room looked like the floor had been literally melted. Still ZERO lamps in the room, just the 1 single light source on the wall. Bathrooms in both were horrible. Headboards were chipped and nicked beyond what should he acceptable for the public to see. The 3rd room they checked me into was "just upgraded" which was a JOKE. Smelled horrendous, stains on the sheets, but I got a lamp this time. Door didnt close in its own which was scary anytime we left and the window didn't lock. Beds NOT comfortable at all. With it being Fargo Wrestling, the option to move was not possible as rooms were going for more than double and most hotels were already full as I already had booked this months prior. Literally making our own locks to be able to sleep without someone trying to break in. Had I seen the real pics of the property, I NEVER would have booked there. Do yourself a favor and call to ask for real photos of the property before booking. NEVER BOOK HERE!

Walked into our room to see no refrigerator, microwave, lights, plug ins by the bed (none at all) ... Went to desk to cancel and lady behind the desk (nice lady), said they just renovated the room, they could put the appliances in while we were gone. I asked who would be bringing the things into our room and she said the other guy behind the desk would... She saw me hesitate and said she would come too... This reassured me a bit. Got back, appliances in place, but no lights still... Sleep was decent. Traffic in hallway was loud as people were passing by our room. People swearing and hollering... Coffee was thick and burnt, we poured it out. A teen boy was in the hall walking around almost the whole time, watching us every time we went into the hallway. So many things out of sorts...

Room smelled like cigarettes. No Kleenex in room. Beds and pillows uncomfortable. No elevator in whole building. Couldn’t understand man at check in. We didn’t use it or want it but pool was closed. Do not come to this hotel.

We booked because we just needed something more comfortable than the car for a few hours of sleep. It was adequate for that purpose only. Front desk was friendly for check in and out. Place is falling apart and needs a lot of updates. Floors had gaps in them, walls stained with holes, huge gap in the room door, blanket on bed was thin and sad. No fridge in the room. Coffee was available in the morning but it was terrible and burnt. Served it's purpose to get a few hours sleep but wouldn't recommend it for anything else.

Room had laminate plank flooring that was coming apart. So dirty my socks were black. My room overlooked a permanently closed Burger King that needed to be torn down. Forgot my backpack and when we went right back to get it the room cleaner was about to take off with it. Beds are pathetic. Blankets were basically two sheets. No shampoo, just a mini bar of soap. No hair dryer. Had to ask for toilet paper. Window didn't close completely. On the upside, the managers tried their best to accommodate. It was the last room in town and was $80. What do I expect?

There was a cracked window at the entrance of the building and also a bullet hole through another. After three days I asked for them to come and take the garbage, give us some fresh towels and toilet paper. They didn’t do anything. I was expecting a cheap motel but the bullet hole and the lack of service added to the ambiance of cheap hotels. Good price, adequate room, poor service and questionable security.

The hotel itself is in pretty poor shape. As you came into our entrance to go to our room the vent was growing, literally. Really gross. The entrance lock did not work. So safety was a concern. The pool said under maintenance but I would say deconstruction. The lawnmower was parked in there Lol. Our room was ok but the door had a gap in it where the light of the hallway came in. Very basic. Our fridge quit working overnite and thankfully for this short trip I did not have insulin requiring refrigeration However the beds were comfortable and the pillows great!! Also every single staff person was friendly and helpful. OUTSTANDING The only other sketchy thing was all the homeless people around the hotel.

The guy checking us in was very nice and apologetic, but rooms were not even ready after check in time. When we were told they had a room for us, we went in and it was someone else’s room with all their things clearly in there and we were not the first ones to have this happen. Hotel smelt strongly of marijuana, even though it’s a non smoking hotel, most areas weren’t the cleanest. Our room once we were able to get in was clean and beds were comfortable, but our friends we were travelling with looked fairly clean at first, but after found dirty pillowcase and dresser and tons of flies in the room. Overall, we did not feel the safest in the hotel.

Dear Motel 6 Guest Services, I am writing to express serious concerns about our recent stay at the Motel 6 location in Fargo, ND on July 11–13, 2025. Our experience was deeply unsettling and unacceptable for a national hospitality brand. Upon arrival, two men were filming my wife in the parking lot. When I confronted them, they claimed the hotel had taken $200 from them and bizarrely assumed my wife was a witness. This created an immediate sense of unease. Over the course of our stay, we were approached by three different individuals in the parking lot asking us for money. The environment outside the building did not feel safe. Shortly after entering our room, while unpacking and preparing to change clothes, a Motel 6 staff member unlocked and entered our room without knocking. She claimed she didn’t know we were checked in—even though we already had our room keys. She then lingered in the doorway, saying, “I’m not trying to do anything weird,” which made the situation even more uncomfortable. This was a serious violation of our privacy and trust. Additional room concerns in Room 120 included: No working room phone Broken bathtub drain stopper Damaged remote control – unable to turn the volume down or shut off the television We did speak with a kind maintenance man and a friendly female owner or manager, both of whom were polite. This place is a dump, other Motel 6’s I’ve stayed at are leaps and bounds better than this one. The desk person was nice and helpful but was experiencing computer/connectivity issues and wasn’t able to check us in. It was almost an hour before I got checked into my room. I made a reservation via Expedia and had to leave cash as a deposit at the desk. The cash was returned promptly in the morning. The parking lot was littered and the abandoned building next to it had people loitering outside of it. There were several people in parked cars in the motel parking lot. Smelled like marijuana outside as well as inside. There was a dog in one room constantly barking. We checked in around 2am and left by 6. I prefer the brand due to the cost and care normally provided but will not be using this location again.

While my own room was in good condition, the rest of the property looked really worn out. I was told that renovation is going on, but to see the swimming pool area filled with trash was a bit much. Plus, the parking lot didn’t appear too safe, but thankfully nothing happened to my car.

Easily accessible off the main highway. They put us in a room that seemed to be near all the welfare customers. We had 2 large dogs and that is the only reason we felt safe. Room was dirty and in very rough shape. Tiny towels that were very old and thin. No water pressure. Noisy people in the hallways most of the night. Totally disappointed with the facilities.

Not as awful as the Bison Inn next door. This is a very low bar. The abandoned Burger King in the parking lot appears to be lived in by meth heads. Building is deteriorating. Rooms are damp. Flooring was falling apart in the room. Staff was slow. Felt like I might go thru the bottom of the tub with a misplaced step.

Not as pictured at all, dont trust the photos. I left within 15 mins of check in. The staff are super nice and professional however. But the room was sticky and unclean. The windows were unlocked and difficult to lock, unsafe on first floor. There was people in their cars outside my window at 1 am and can hear every word they said. There was a homeless person laying outside the door, and the side door was stuck open so anyone could come in. Dont stay here, an extra 20$ will get you a much safer and cleaner place. Not good for women travellers.

Walked into our room to see no refrigerator, microwave, lights, plug ins by the bed (none at all) ... Went to desk to cancel and lady behind the desk (nice lady), said they just renovated the room, they could put the appliances in while we were gone. I asked who would be bringing the things into our room and she said the other guy behind the desk would... She saw me hesitate and said she would come too... This reassured me a bit. Got back, appliances in place, but no lights still... Sleep was decent. Traffic in hallway was loud as people were passing by our room. People swearing and hollering... Coffee was thick and burnt, we poured it out. A teen boy was in the hall walking around almost the whole time, watching us every time we went into the hallway. So many things out of sorts...

Liked nothing Disliked attitude of employees, dirty room, asked for an accessible room and in no way was it accessible, TV did not work and no one at the front desk would answer the phone, no refrigerator or microwave, no breakfast. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a rental room.

The rooms still smell like smoke and induce a migraine for me but the hotel is really trying to improve. The TV’s are tiny, but room and sheets are clean. The phone didn’t work, as the system was being repaired so I couldn’t make my important phone calls. Overall it’s a decent place for the price.
