Super cute old hotel made into a new, modern, chic place to stay. Great location, comfy bed, good shower. Parking is not free, so be ready for a 11 per night charge extra.

Staff was so friendly and helpful, room was very clean and nice. The only thing that really hurt our stay was the parking situation. We came back from the amusement park around midnight, come to find out they don’t offer enough parking for everyone who is staying, we had to park our car on the street and get up before 8am to move it before it would get possibly a ticket or towed. It was a really rough sleep worrying that someone might hit our car or oversleep and it gets a ticket

Room was clean, bed comfortable, and bathroom functional, so we are happy with our stay. Downside: there is no Keurig or other coffee/tea in the room. You’ll have to wait for the lobby to open for breakfast or walk a block to 7/11 if you’re an early riser. Breakfast is continental style consisting of a wide variety of cellophane-wrapped pastries, waffles, and burritos. Milk and cereal are also available. Upside: sparkling-clean, cold swimming pool!

We stayed at this hotel with two young children. The pool was clean and warm. Our room was clean, and check-in was a breeze.The staff was friendly and accommodating. The kids and I slept just fine. My wife, who is a light sleeper complained about hearing other guests and noises through the walls. A little whitw noise did the trick.

Great location..close to the 405 and 101 frwys. Staff was friendly and efficient. The beds were pretty comfortable. Towels were just ok. However, there is a definite lack of outlets in the room. I had to pull one of the beds forward in order to get to an outlet by the bed. Breakfast is all pre packaged food but will do in a pinch if you want to grab something quick. I didn't see an elevator so if you need one this place may not be for you.

It was an average motel want to be hotel. Room and bathroom were clean but when we checked in the room was scorching hot, turned the AC on and it was very loud. It also did not cool bathroom. Bathroom was hot and humid. Also, there is no elevator, so if you end up on the second floor the. Be ready to carry your luggage. Check in/check out were easy. Breakfast was basic (they offered individually wrapped muffins, bagels, slides toast, and waffles. The cream cheese was not cold, kept in the fridge or on ice. It was a bit pricey for the value and comfort.

Stay was for 3 nights. The room was spacious and clean. I would recommend a little update in the barhrooms and shower. AC worked very well and service is friendly at the front desk with each member I spoke with. Pool facilities need upgrade. The chaise lounges are broken and the other chairs around the pool are quite small. Overall is good value for a short stay. Parking and breakfast included which is a perk!

This place has a great vibe. I stayed for a week and the staff were all great. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is great with restaurants in walking distance and easy access to the freeway. The parking is a little bit tight but I always had a spot.

Friendly staff & property was well maintained by the employees. Room was nice & clean. Located walkable distance to shops, bars and restaurants! Only down side I would say is the infrastructure. Around the air conditioning wasn’t sealed and you could see daylight coming in along with the door to the room on the bottom. When I opened up my dressed to grad some clothes I was startled by 2 roaches in the bedside table and under the TV. Had to remove all my belongings in the middle of the night and take them to my car because I didn’t want to bring any home with me.

Gabriel checked me in and was very friendly and helpful. My room was cleaned by Elvira and it was about the cleanest room I've stayed in. Parking is a little tight and you are charged a parking fee. Breakfast is pre-packaged items the coffee is made fresh and very good Overall what matters to me is a clean room and friendly staff! Would definitely recommend.

The staff was nice and helpful, the breakfast was alright for what it was and the area was not ideal. It was not the best area and there wasn't much around. The room was not very clean, most places where coated in dust, there were smears on some surfaces.The beds were just tolerable. We had gone to go to Universal and had come back late at night and found there was basically no parking and had to park in the shared parking lot of a different business that we were told it was alright but had been an issue with that business before, so there as a concern of being towed. I don't think we will be staying again.

The hotel was cute but very old. The floors must be super thin because I could hear EVERYTHING the guests upstairs were doing. It sounded like they were moving furniture. Do not stay on the ground floor. There is no counter space in the bathroom, just a sink and toilet, no blow dryer and the shower is unbelievably small. For the cost I was pretty disappointed.

The staff was great. More than great. The room was very clean, for the most part, but especially where it mattered. The bed was a little noisy but comfortable. Maybe bring your own pillow if you're picky. The walls are extremely thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring). The wall AC unit is incredibly loud. There was a strong smell coming from the shower drain. All that said, it was well worth the rate for the location and I would stay at the Sojourn again. There's a Le Pain Quotidien <5 minutes walking for a quick, healthy breakfast and very good coffee. Also the Sojourn stocks bottled water in the lobby fridge for guests--generally better than most hotels provide.

Retro-vibe was fun in this older hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was okay, prepackaged food with a good amount of choices. The shower was super small and the towels were mediocre. The curtains were blackout but they didn’t cover the ends of the windows so the light came in still. A/C worked well but had a musty smell. This is a mid century hotel that had the walls painted and the floors replaced. The people in the reception area were super nice and friendly. They did everything they could to make us comfortable. It’s in a great location for what we wanted to do, return to the area after leaving a few years ago, and visit our old home.

Bare bones but worked for us- just needed a place to sleep between activities. Wish there was coffee in the room- we paid extra for a kitchen that had only two disposable plastic cups and that’s it. The room is cute- the retro theme really works. But be prepared for vintage motel with no sound proofing and try to get an upstairs room!

The room was comfortable. I ordered a standard king room and the bed was not a king. It a queen. I did call the front desk and they told me it was a king. The bed was the same size as my queen bed at home. The shower was small and barely fit me inside of it. The tv remote didn’t work at first but the staff replaced it immediately. The biggest problem is you can hear while conversations through the wall and the door to the room as well.

Rooms were clean, but there were not any convenient sockets for charging devices, no place for toiletries or styling tools in bathroom, and AC was very noisy.

The room was decent and had a fun kitschy vibe. The bed was comfortable. I was disappointed that the AC was a very loud wall unit, and that there was no coffee maker of any kind in the room. I was a also a bit surprised that my first floor room included a bathroom window with clear glass, and a broken latch. I ended up using a wood coat hanger from the closet as a makeshift security rod. I wonder who are the people giving this place such favorable ratings?

No closet in room, pedestal sink in bathroom, no place to put toiletries excepte on the floor, sparse furnishings.

Spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable, room was quiet, nice staff. So I would recommend. BUT: no shelf in bathroom so no place to put one’s things, no hooks for towels near shower, not enough towels and towels aren’t great, no outlet in bathroom, and no mirror—neither full length nor small—in room, so impossible to blow dry hair while looking in a mirror. These problems would be so easy to fix!

This is such a great hotel and such a convenient location. The staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are spotlessly clean and parking was convenient. Such a great value for the price!

Service was excellent, all employees are very well trained and helpful and respectful, well recommended Place to stay. 5 stars better than any hotel here in Sherman oaks ca. makes you feel like home. Manager Maribel is very professional and made sure my stay was comfortable. She needs to be clone and hire more people like her.

I had an overall excellent experience during my recent stay at the hotel. Initially, I was unaware that we would be checking in late, arriving past midnight. To address my concerns, I reached out to the front desk ahead of time to confirm that my reservation would still be secure despite the late arrival. The staff was incredibly accommodating and reassuring, which put my mind at ease. Upon arrival, I found everything in order, and my room was exactly as promised. The attentive service and willingness of the staff to assist with our unique situation truly made a difference. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and accommodating environment.

The hotel was great, with one exception (read below). Nice rooms, good value, great easy breakfast, amazing pool, friendly housekeepers and “most” front desk staff. Upon arrival, we encountered TERRIBLE customer service from a front desk employee named Emily. We arrived a bit early before check it (check in is at 3pm and we arrived at 1:15pm), the girl at the front desk was so disrespectful and rude. When we walked in, she was sitting at the table behind the front desk and didn’t even greet us. After ignoring us for 2-3 minutes, she says “can I help you” in a rude fashion. I explained we are a bit early and wondering if our room might be ready. I even stated that it is ok if the room is not ready, I just wanted to ask as I had a tired child who really needed to rest after our flight. The girl, Emily, says, “you have to wait, I’m on my break now and I can’t help you”. So we waited in the car and came back after 30 mins. She was still sitting at the table and completely ignored us. After 10 more minutes of waiting, she finally went to the front desk, so I approached the desk thinking she would acknowledge my presence, but NO, she sat there on the computer and was casually speaking in Spanish with a housekeeper and giggling in front of me. Then finally said, “ok I can help you now”. After this encounter, everything was great. I feel belittled and disrespected by this employee and I hope she doesn’t treat anyone else like this. Hotel manager- please speak with her about this!

David was so great. Really went above and beyond. This place was clean and well maintained. I’d recommend and definitely stay again.

We arrived at 1 AM and tried to check in. We were very tired considering we had to drive 4 hours to get there. Once we tried to check in the employee did not someone out for 30 minutes even after calling. When the employee stepped out they stated that they didn’t come out because they “thought we were trying to book our room”. Service is terrible you should always come out to see what the costumer needs considering it’s your job.

Our family stayed at the Sojourn as we wanted to use it as a base for going to Universal Studios for a couple of days, as well as Santa Monica beach and a day in Hollywood The hotel is very close to the 405 and 110 highways so was a good location for our different destinations. Unfortunately, the room was small for the two queen beds and our backs were sore after each night. Also the AC was very loud and not that effective.The bathroom was adequate but had no where to put your toiletries. We did enjoy the breakfast each morning with a few different options including burritos, pre-packaged waffles, yogurt, toast, coffee and juice. You could also go back later in the day to pick up a bottle of water for free, which was convenient after a long day out. Having said all that, we would not stay at this hotel again as the room was too small and the surrounding area was sketchy at night.

The property is really nice, nicely renovated with a small pool. The location is excellent with great restaurants around and very safe. My only issue was parking at night, but the staff worked it out every night! I would go back again!

Super quiet and convenient location to shopping and eating.

We’ve stayed here multiple times. If you need a clean place to sleep it is definitely a great choice. The staff goes above and beyond ALWAYS! A huge bonus is that breakfast is included. A nice selection of coffee, tea, juice, cold and hot cereal, bagels, muffins, danish…. Location is ideal too. It’s close proximity to the 405 and 101 gets you most places. Also straight down the road are supermarkets and many restaurants.

Close to everything- shopping, dining, theyrecall walkable. Quiet neighborhood too

Front desk staff was kind. Room was clean and basic. Location perfection for a conference at the Skirball Center.

Average stay at an average hotel. Front clerk gave me bad advice about the Hollywood sign that led to us missing our photos which was unfortunate. Minimum space for our stuff. Breakfast was gross.

Nice place at a great price. Breakfast could use some eggs, but at this great price I'm not really complaining. Will stay at again if I'm ever in the area! Thanks again!

This is a good value motel. The rooms have been updated but could do with a mirror in the bedroom, better lighting and an iron and ironing board. It’s clean. The breakfast is mostly packet food and high sugar. But there is a 7/11 nearby where we got some fresh fruit. There are loads of restaurants nearby too. Parking was only $10 per night and it’s near the freeway for easy transportation. All in all, it was as expected.

Great customer service, room was large. Breakfast good (breakfast burritos, pastries, cereal and bread. Juices, milk and soy milk big plus.) Good location.
