Motel 6-Rolling Meadows, IL - Chicago Northwest

Bathroom was dirty. The shower curtain kept falling down. There were no shampoos but just this tiny little soap. Location was away from transportation and dining and shopping. This swimming pool was NOT working. Unless you’re desperate and penniless, do not book a room at this facility.

Housekeeping enter into the room without permission. Elevator NOT in service majority times of my stay. Upon check in sink was dirty Blonde strands of hair folded with "suppose to be towels" Room was difficult to warm up

Shower was old and stained. Towels were old. Pool was closed

I rented a room because a pool was listed and upon arrival, I was told the pool is closed. No reimbursement given. When i had asked if I could get an upgrade to a room with a fridge as to compensate for the loss of the pool I was told no.

Parking lot is on bad shape

The place is absolutely safe and quiet with ample parking. It’s no frills, no breakfast. Budget pricing and provides only what you require; a bed, a shower and a well lit spot to park your car.

I loved the walk in shower and the open dressers were very convenient. The elevator was nice too. The pool was covered for repairs but other than that it was a nice place to stay for the price.

Not a bad place to stay, but it could use some refurbishment. There is no elevator for a 3-story room

Although low price but not for a good value. The pool is closed. Bring your shampoo., it's a basic room. Every thing is functional.

I stayed for 3 nights, and these are some of the things I observed. The doors are extremely loud, so when our neighbor was struggling to close the door for 30 minutes, we heard everything. The shower pressure is nonexistent, and the water doesn’t get that hot. The bed was stiff, and blankets didn’t help. But I kinda expect that from any hotel. The pool was closed the entire time we stayed which sucked, because that’s what I was booking for. It’s not clean outside the building, the stairs were slippery from soda that didn’t get cleaned the entire time we stayed. One ice machine was broken, and the other one had a blinking sign that said it needed to be clean. (Once again, didn’t get cleaned the entire time we stayed). The staff was neutral, not friendly but not mean. Just people trying to get paid lmao ( don’t mind that at all) For a cheap hotel, it was alright. Just not the best motel 6 I’ve stayed in.

It was terrible the Wi-Fi didn't work there was no breakfast as was supposed to be included it was surrounded by a construction site and nothing but construction men the vending machines didn't work there were bugs in my room I had to have my room switched even though I wanted to cancel they didn't have any other rooms is a terrible experience there was no getting extra towels there was no shampoo conditioner in the room there wasn't even a Bible or notepad and did I mention that there were bugs four bugs in particular I took a video

staff was cordial and respectful. not sure about the cleanliness I killed a roach I saw crawling across the floor. only one I saw. the shower was not great. I would bring a pair of sandals for the shower. reminded me of a prison shower. Also, There were holes in the sheets and the drapes.

When I arrived there was a very unpleasant smell in my room.I wanted to leave as soon as I got to my room. I also found clothes hung up in my room which I assumed was from a previous guest..missed by housekeeping. Up until the time I checked out it was still there.. I found cockroaches in my room. This might be a place for you to rest for one night..sadly I was there for 3:/

Room had a bad smell the minute we walked in. You can’t open the windows to let air in leading to feeling very congested and air quality was terrible.

The room was filthy. It looked as if no one had swept the floors in weeks. The sheets on the bed had tons of cigarette burns. The water in the shower reeked of chorline. No shampoo was or tissues were provided. A truly disgusting experience. I paid for 4 nights and I left after the 1st night. No wonder there is a new refund policy; the management knows how awful their establishment is and are willing to steal your money from you. Awfully disgusting hotel.

The room smelled of vomit and had stains on the floor; the shower was also very dirty. I requested a new room, which turned out to be worse than the first. I opted to leave and stay in a different hotel.

There was water leaking from pipes, the bathroom was smelly and dirty. There were beetles crawling all over the ceiling. The parking lot was crumbling and there was restoration equipment everywhere, blocking off part of the parking lot. It was at least quiet.

For starters, the mattresses had bedbugs, the sheets were stained with blood. There was even some red residue on the mattress. I booked a five night. Only stayed one night. Also, the lock on the door would not lock sometimes. The reason I stayed here is because there was some convention going on in Chicago and all the rooms were mainly sold out the ones that were not sold we’re asking for $500 a night. This would be a last resort hotel. I understand everybody’s situation is different, but some people called this hotel home.

Bed sheets did not seem clean. Comforter had holes in it. Bathroom looked like it was never cleaned. Door looked like it was already broken into. Front desk girl had a bad attitude.

room was nice and updated. bed was uncomfortable, only had 2 flat pillows, no extra bedding anywhere. shower was nice but small

Pretty average - you get what you pay for. Check-in was easy and fast, seemed like the receptionist checked with housekeeping to make sure there was a clean room available. Shower pressure can be low for some. Not sure if the shower curtain was a little yellow'd. Parking was convenient. A lot of repainted surfaces both outside and inside such as rusting railings and walls. The highwasy nearby wasn't too loud.

No microwave or refrigerator. Remote location. Good staff.

The tv in the room didn't work there was no microwave or fridge and the door had 4 locks it was in a unsafe part of town.

Small old rooms. Not filthy but not clean. Some lights didn’t work. AC was was poor but after 4 hours it was cool

Good: Comfortable bed. Expressway is nearby but I didn't notice the noise. Clean room and bathroom. Bad: Wi-fi speed was less than 1mbps everywhere I tried it, even at night. Sheets were old. I was allergic to something (unsure if it was from nature outside or something inside).

I had a very late arrival, which was not the hotels fault. But where they added to the difficulty was when i called, the clerk saidnthat i didnt have a reservation. I had already had a difficult enough day and he added to that. Even when i arrived atv4am, from multiple flights delays and time driving to the hotel, the clerk was very abrupt with me becauseni has said that i would areive around 3am and i didnt arrive till after 4am. It was hardly the attitude i needed after a very long, trying travel day. Also, this hotel was difficult to find, even with GPS. The bed and pillows were not particularly comfortable, even as tired as i was. I had a tough timenfalling asleep. I would not recommend this property!

Check in went smooth. Sravya was very helpful and ver nice. Cleaning crew check in daily and very nice.

The woman at the front desk, Sravya, was very helpful and pleasant. The rest of the staff was great as well. Sorry, I could only select 5 stars, I would have given a much higher rating for the management and staff at Rolling Meadows.

I was not checked it because I was told that I as too many questions. I was requesting upper floor but the lady at the front desk didn’t give me. She wanted to give me a room on a far corner, which didn’t feel safe (just a weird feeling) when I asked for a different one (many were open) she refused. …I cancelled the reservation but went to my car prayed about it… I humbled myself and said that I can take the room that she offered, she changed the mind and said she didn’t want me to stay there. Well, I was respectful, didn’t disrespect her in any way. But oh well… I’m glad that I left. Better place God had for me that night.

Room was fine, customer service was so disrespectful and rude and tried to scam me for my money. Never coming to this place again

From the booking proccess to the check in it was a great start! I loved how easy the booking process was and how accurate the pricing was on the website! When I checked in, it was super easy and quick and affordable! I was super excited and grateful that they allow pets at this motel. I know not all rooms are pet friendly rooms but the important thing is that they have pet friendly rooms for anyone with their furr baby! The staff here is amazing! The morning staff I dealt with was a gentleman who originally checked me in and he is terrific and always super friendly and accomidating. The gentleman that comes later at night is wonderful also! He is quick, and also very friendly! I had a quick incident where I had locked my room key in my room late at night and he instantly hooked up another room card for me free of charge and said I could bring the old card back whenever and I didn't have to bring it that second (even though I did)! I originally was staying for only 2 nights but I extened my stay for third night and then a fourth night and it was no hassle whatsoever! All i did was let them know and they let me know the pricing (which is super reasonable) and boom, all done. The parking is terrific, I would park my car and walk out of it and I was at my room door instantly. That is how close that room was to the parking. There's plenty of parking spots around the motel so it is accomidating, truly. The rooms are so beautiful and clean! I love it here! GREAT JOB GUYS!!IVANA;RON

The front desk night staff had mistakenly put on my account saying I had checked in and charged me, when that did not happen. For days I’ve been trying as well as Expedia to contact over this. Finally 6 days later, I was able to contact, and they rudely kept interrupting and shouting on the phone, telling me to contact Expedia…which we had been. Worse, when telling them we didn’t even enter the room, they stated it was recorded we had and they weren’t going to change it…so going out of their way to lie over less than $200. Rude staff. Couldn’t imagine their quality of rooms.

My first experience was with the super rude front desk clerk she was super rude mean in confrontational she charged me an extra 60 bucks that I was never told about until I got to the hotel then she continued to be mean thru out the transaction she sent me to a room that was dirty the bed wasn't made the room wasn't clean it was a sad sight I went to ask can I have my room change because the room was dirty she was absolutely mad that I came back is a very sad experience

Initially had issues with my reservation. I booked two rooms and the front desk agent stated that there was only one. I contacted the third party and got it resolved but, my card had to be charged twice and the refund is taking 5-7 business days. It was an inconvenience that I did not care to have. Overall the stay was fine. I am just a little disappointed, this is the second time that I have had issues. I tried to give the benefit of doubt.

Overall it was good just very far from the Chicago downtown.

Property was ok. Run down and unkept, but the room was generally clean. The biggest complaint i have about the experience is that the hotel is in a pretty rough area and i did not feel safe after dark. I did not know this when booking.

My room was clean and quiet for my 1-night stay. This is a very basic hotel so if you want something to eat or coffee, bring your own as they only have a snack machine with chips and candy and no coffee vending machine or small coffee pot in the room. I would stay there again but I would definitely bring some instant coffee if you're a coffee drinker.

The vending machines never worked and the front desk kinda didn't care to tell me anything about it

The property is kind of old, with plenty of parking. The room was fairly clean. The WiFi signal was bad. Maybe because I had an end unit. The room is basic, with only soap was provided, no shampoo/conditioner. There is no coffee machine nor refrigerator. For the price paid, it's a decent stay.
