Ledges Hotel

The hotel has beautiful views of a waterfall. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued as a guest. The great room is inviting with its comfortable chairs and fireplace. There is free coffee, hot chocolate, and tea in the great room. The guest rooms are comfortable and offer bathrobes for your relaxation. Just up the hill from the hotel is a tasting room for Hopping Eagle. If you like beer, you owe it to yourself to taste the offerings at the Hopping Eagle. The hotel also has a comfortable bar and a very good restaurant. We enjoyed our visit to Hawley and will stay again at the Ledges Hotel.

The attraction is the waterfalls the hotel is built right next to. There's a certain rusticness and elegance to the property. It is a nice space to retreat and relax. They have electric car chargers!

We had a great overnight stay. The views are stunning, rooms are cozy but clean. Staff was absolutely pleasant. Shuttle offered to sister hotels in the area. Calendar of activities. Live music on Sundays, dining credits for breakfast at two locations. They absolutely take care of their guests. And above all the setting is so serene. We loved our stay!

Beautiful property. Hospitality is top notch! Especially the front desk! What I enjoyed most was having access to the other 2 properties and having access to all the amenities they offer as well! Take advantage of the shuttle at night. Worth it!!!

The property is uniquely situated under a waterfall which had such a peaceful and calming affect, we loved to just sit on the deck and soak it all in. The only improvement that I can see is perhaps a little warning light at both ends of the narrow and winding driveway that lets you know if another car has entered the path. The driveway is so narrow, my truck had a hard time passing when another truck was trying to come down the path. But overall, the location was superb !

Historic place that was set behind an old mill. Good items: staff; especially David, was very friendly and accommodating, suite was large with full kitchen, music in the restaurant was nice...light rock and blues, waterfalls next to the place were quite nice...breakfast credits for Cocoons were used and the food tasty... George was helpful in his golf cart to move our belonging...I did not use the gym but my son stated it was small but had good equipment...Other items: you have to be in shape to get to the second floor of 2-bedroom suite...steep spiral stairs, parking lot is narrow to get to and steep climb...AC unit in our bedroom was welcome but a little noisy...free standing unit next to the bed...

What a fantastic setting for a hotel! Those waterfalls and decks - so visually appealing!! And the perfect size - not too large or sprawling...Great food, entertainment, a welcoming staff, fantastic design and attention to detail, right down to the quality of board games in the lounge. We can't wait to go back!!

Waterfalls right outside the hotel were awesome to see and hear. Lovely lounge area with games for the whole family. On site dining was good. Includes pass to another facility with lakeside access and pool. Parking is a little challenging at times.

The restaurant was excellent; it is "small plates" and "large plates" and has a drink of the day you can try. Live music on Thursday but I prefer the falls. There are multiple seating areas to enjoy the falls also. They give you a voucher for breakfast at two other properties, and we enjoyed going to both. Loved the tour at the glass museum and hiking in the forest. Our room was right above the restaurant and it was quiet.

Clean, small tasteful room. Friendly staff awesome restaurant on premises and the views are magnificent. Just a fun unique unexpected experience. Looking forward to going back again.

View of waterfalls was spectacular and intimate. That made the place good. Otherwise quite overpriced. Room felt dusty. Bathroom was cold. A/C vent placement right above bed caused neck cramp. Room cleaner cursing to herself (quite loudly) while cleaning someone’s room down the hall, was less than professional and less than lovely. Hallway was too dimly lit. The doors seemed cheap. The choice of band for live music (a grungy rock band) was not the mellow blues we were told. In general the restaurant staff all seemed inexperienced, insecure but trying their best.

Staff is very responsive; property is beautiful; room was very clean but very small.

Cobwebs and spiders in the room, small, staff was exceptionally nice.

The views are fantastic! The onsite restaurant is very good and you can't beat eating overlooking the falls. The rooms are cozy but well appointed and very clean. The staff went above and beyond, even pointing us to use several hotel activities after we had checked out. Highly recommended.

Our room was on the first floor with a view of… the parking lot along with all the sounds that go with it. This a very photogenic hotel so I won’t deny that we got some great photos. However, the bathroom was outdated and not maintained, and as far as the rest of the room - you could tell they were doing their best. But the certain spots like the walls had dust/dirt and although the bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft, the comforter was light and flimsy. Not cosy at all. Our restervation came with a breakfast credit and I’ll say this - the coffee was not bad (and I am picky- I won’t even drink Starbucks)! I’d come back to eat at the restaurant because we didn’t get to try it but I don’t think I’ll come back as a guest until they can renovate… though they might be the best accoms in the area. *the 2 bed suites seem better but I toured them and just feel like it’s more of the same just with extra room.

The staff was very nice and friendly. Room was small but ok for two people. Everything was clean, can’t complain. Sitting on the decks at the waterfall was the best part. Beautiful and relaxing. There is a cute coffee shop nearby. We ate breakfast there every morning. This was a last minute vacation for us and would definitely go back.

The resort was extremely dirty with cobwebs everywhere outside. It was not maintained at all. The carpet in the room was extremely dirty and stained. The phone was cracked, and the TV didn’t work. When we called the front desk, no one answered the phone. When we walked to the front desk, no one was there. In the pictures, there’s a beautiful, big waterfall which was the reason we booked this hotel. There was no waterfall outside at all. It was a huge disappointment and I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Beautiful location and the staff was top notch. Offered wonderful suggestions for sights to see in the region. The only reason I rated it good is because the room furnishing needs to be updated. Bed was extremely low and ceiling very high. But it was spotless and temperature controlled. Also pet friendly though I didn’t hear a peep. A real family atmosphere.

Beautiful setting. Came to view the waterfall. Friendly staffs. Cocktail tasting is a plus. Room is clean. However, windows need to be more insulated. We came when it is 5 degree outside. I slept by window side and I can free the chill breeze. Overall, great place to stay.

The place was very nice, I just feel it was not worth the cost of the room, TV was only 32 inches and no live TV, the bed was very low too the floor and not as comfortable of a bed you would expect in this type of a hotel.

Room 208: the floors of the bedroom (upper level) squeak that woke me or my wife up everytime either of us went to the bathroom. The view of the creek from inside the restaurant is beautiful.

Could not turn down heat in our room, it was stuck on 80 degrees, turned on ac didn’t work. Can’t watch tv if you do not have streaming apps. Internet didn’t work. Bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom lighting was dim at best. Positive side staff was friendly and accommodating.

We were slightly disappointed with the size of our room, it said we were to have a queen bed, but it really seemed more like just a full size, plus you couldn’t get any major network so on the TV you had to go through Netflix or Hulu so we couldn’t watch any local news

Unfortunately something has changed recently…while check in was fine, our room on the 2nd floor of our suite was 90 degrees despite a portable AC there. We figured it would cool down at night but didn’t…it actually got worse as the AC exhaust disconnected from the back of the unit and you could see all the tape where they had tried to fix this previously. This made the room even hotter and unbearable that my wife and I couldn’t get back to sleep. In addition to that, the service at Glass was lackluster, and you could tell they were severely understaffed. Multiple tables complained about wait times and the outdoor heaters ran out of propane with no replacement-leaving people cold and being asked to be moved inside. Unfortunately the food was extremely overpriced for what you got too-we got a tiny oversalted ribeye, and a chicken dish that had less than one chicken breast. We both left hungry and unimpressed. I spoke to the person at the main desk the next day who apologized. I also left a message on their website asking for a response, but never received a reply. I’m not sure if there is new management, but this once reliable hotel and restaurant seems to have changed.

We really enjoyed our stay! The rooms were ok. The building is quite old and definitely has it’s charm. We had the double bedroom with kitchen and everything we needed was there. Sadly we were at the parking side. Usually I wouldn’t mind actually and I could sit at the waterfall all day… But my husband didn’t have the patience to stay and my 17 month old of course needs his mommy at all times… So all vacation I didn’t have a chance to sit there and relax :/ So in that case a room with waterfall view would have been nice to at least watch it from the room… speaking of the waterfall, it’s sooo pretty, even more impressive than the pictures. The decks are so cozy and fires are lit at night. The restaurant was also really amazing! And Patricia and Dave at the front desk were sooo nice and really helpfull too! It’s a place to come back to!

Dave at the front desk was the most amazing professional and had a lovely personality! Kudos to him! We will be back - his customer service was beyond!!

The restaurant in the hotel was very nice, we just couldn’t get any service. It was a disaster the entire meal.

The room was very small and had a limited view of the parking lot. The floors above us were very creaky and there was a party going on Friday night that woke me up. I went up stairs and told the people in room 203 about my situation. "We will stop in six minutes." They didn't. The hotel has no 24/7 help. In the am, I told the older woman at the front desk about this and she stated, "Why did you put yourself in this situation." "It's not about me. Don't put this back on me." I guess since there were many people in that party, they paid more than I did. I loved the waterfall and was able to sit on the middle deck most of the afternoon. Too bad the above had to happen.

Disappointing from arrival I was made to feel unwelcome.this is clearly not a hotel that cares about singles. While booked through Expedia at no time was I told the room was 1st floor, small, near both the lobby and overlooking the parking lot even though I called the hotel ahead specifying the need for a quiet room.Parties congregated loudly until well past 11 in the parking lot & the band played nearby well past the allotted time.no staff saw to keep the door btw the lobby& outside dining where the band was closed which may have helped.front desk did not answer when i called about the extended band time. I had to wait at Check in while the attendant not only told the couple ahead of me where to find their room but escorted them and leisurely described the activities.By contrast I was literally shooed away then handed the key and brochure pointed in the direction of my room and though I needed help with my luggage was not provided it. The room was just ok.there is no fridge for snacks.The best part was use of the sister hotels which I wish I had stayed at instead. I was also ignored at the bar during cocktails whilst a couple who came well after me were served immediately. room service doesn't answer. I felt like an afterthought and was given the worst room. overall, a bad experience/ very expensive with hidden fees like 4 "sales tax" items, a room cleaning fee AND resort fee and "settlers donation"

Lovely little scenic hotel in a great location. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Great spot for a couples trip.

The people at this hotel are so amazing! They upgraded our room at no charge to celebrate us being newly weds. The hotel is the perfect place for a weekend getaway and we will be back.

Hotel is historic yet cozy, cute and has amazing views! Would love to visit in the summer

The building was unique, outside 1860, inside modern. Loved it. Restaurant with outdoor dinning with a beautiful waterfall to look at was perfect.

Waterfalls and lots of seating options outdoors

The waterfall is beautiful. I enjoyed relaxing in the seats near the waterfall just reading my book while listening to the falls. Very peaceful. I could have slept outside

Ledges Hotel offers a quiet, serene, setting with multiple options to sit and read or interact with others. The views of the waterfalls are beautiful. Just a lovely setting with a helpful staff and nice accommodations. Would recommend for a weekend away. Lake Wallenpaupack is close by for hiking, water sports or just relaxing.

The best part of this property is the view off the back - the waterfall with its ledges. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The only thing I would say was slightly disappointing was the dining. The prices are a bit high for what you get and frankly I absolutely hate the 5 oz/8poz glass of wine. Pour me a standard 6 oz glass and charge a fair price and we are in business.

Food was good but pricey.

The location and views from the restaurant were stunning . The room could have done with some updating and newer bed linen would have been nice , there was an air conditioning unit nearby and noise could be heard from other rooms sadly . However the restaurant food was lovely just such a shame they did not supply breakfast . The staff were very welcoming and helpful .

It was good but the breakfast voucher they give you is ridiculous. They dont give enough to cover the breakfast. And then they charge more if you get a coffee. I remember when you ate there before they had a set breakfast menue it you didn't have to pay anything.
