Huntsville Inn and Suites

The staff was friendly except for one person who worked 3/29/26 around 10pm. The beds and towels were very clean and comfortable. Parking was easily accessible and felt safe. Other than that, it was a pretty terrible stay. My moms friend checked in the day before me. The person working the desk gave her my room number before I checked in and WITHOUT my permission. Anyone claiming to be my relative could have inquired and put me in an unsafe position and that is my biggest concern. My safety should be respected and my permission given before my room number is given to ANYONE besides myself. The room was really just a shell to sleep in. One of the two beds didnt have a comforter. There were TV wires everywhere. There was no trashcan in the bathroom, which as a female, should be mandatory. There was an old smoke detector on the ground in the bathroom. It didnt appear to be from the bedroom because there was one there and there wasn't a place for it in the bathroom. There was not a Do Not Disturb sign so we had to go down to get one. Both of our keys stopped working the day before check out so we had to go down again. We had an iron but not an ironing board. The breakfast bagels were like cardboard and were not great at all.

Building was leaking significantly as we entered the door they said it does this every time it rains there were no towels in the room and the toilet ran on and off all night property beat up and in poor shape can’t recommens

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Where to start...extremely long check in with staff member that didn't seem to know what he was doing. Said our room numbers out loud. This is a huge saftey concern. The elevator smelled really bad. Got off on my floor and a wall of stall cigarettes hit us in the face. There were stains on the carpet, sheets, pillowcases. The comforter had a large tear. Pieces of the counter were missing, mold all along the shower, large hole in the wall, paint chipped on the walls, two stains on the wall the i think were where someone urinated, wallpaper torn off in areas. Over all it was a nightmare. Called my sister to see what her room looked like and it was about the same. We both checked out immediately.

Deceiving! Checking in was good. Walking into our room, was a nightmare. Puke stains on the floor, beds not made properly, dirty cover/sheets. Told staff about the room so we changed to a different room, another nightmare! The foul odor of smoke covered the room, window wide open, which is a hazard to small children. Fresh bloodstains on sheets. Absolutely never coming here again. We ended up leaving , told the staff we couldn’t stay and that we would be leaving. Asked for a refund, but because it was through a 3rd party we had to go through that. Understandable. We left and went to The holiday inn across the rd. Microtel definitely needs to do something about housekeeping and some remodeling and also maybe Dj side ring new management because this is definitely in called for and disgusting!

The check in was okay and staff was friendly. The room smell of too my air freshener to him the old cigarette smell. You could tell they had issues with mold in the bathroom and tried to paint over it. The paint was peeling around the seam of the shower/tub at the top. Also found dirty towel in the shower curtain. There was old soap and cigarettes ash on the top near the seams of the shiwer where it meets tge wall
