Jake's 58 Casino Hotel - Adults Only

Parking was terrible, there was trash everywhere in the parking lot, the room was okay but getting in and out of the hotel/casino wasn’t ideal. I would never stay there again in the future.

I enjoyed my time here. This is a nice quick getaway from NYC. I do think the hotel should have more amenities besides the casino(maybe a pool, spa, game room,etc.) but overall it was a good stay here. I enjoyed the restaurants on the ground level.

There under construction but still open which is reasonable.

From the moment I walked in I was very uncomfortable because I walked through a metal detector had to look into a camera and had my purse looked in. Which I’ve been to many NY casinos and never had to go through this to check into the hotel. Then when I got to the front desk the 2 people working were talking and had me waiting the one finally checked me in and wasn’t over friendly and gave me no info other than my room number. Also not to mention the parking lot was packed and hard to find a spot.

Room and restaurant very good. Parking is a major issue as the casino is very busy. Restaurant does not serve breakfast and you can't get a cup of coffee anywhere in the hotel before 7am including in rooms which do not have a coffee setup.

Only one elevator was working for 10 floors. Long waits. Stairs took you out the back to a construction zone. Room was just ok. Bed was comfortable. Hotel rooms Need to be updated. Bathroom was tight. Towel bar poorly placed in front of sink. Restaurant food was good! Casino was decent. Parking lot was always full so had to wait to find a spot.

Check in was a breeze. The front door security is comforting. You walk through the first time and they scan your ID. On following entrances, you stand in front of a face recognition scanner. No one with big bags who are not staying in the hotel can bring the bags in. A cafe in the lobby has grab and go items as well as hot tea, coffee, and lattes made to order. There is a restaurant open until midnight, although I did not try it, it always seemed to have patrons. The room was clean and spacious. I stayed 4 days. Housekeeping kept the room spotless. Hotel guests can use valet parking for free and get a voucher at the front desk upon check out. We tipped valet and housekeeping upon checkout for their excellent service.

Hotel is nice enough. All staff except for a few of the security officers were pleasant. Hotel/Casino entrance Security officers seemed to interpret entrance rules differently for guests. Maybe entering the Casino should be separated from entering the hotel. Hotel elevators are okay but not speedy. A Security officer demanded people already on an elevator get off when it reached the Casino floor so he could escort a cash cart instead of waiting for the next elevator.

They are starting their major renovation which will take many years to do. The room was alot nicer then we expected after reading the reviews and booking. That was a relief. The clientele isnt the greatest because of the casino, Had issue bringing coffee and drinks up to our room. The guy at the door made us throw them out then realized we were staying at hotel. No apology just had to waste 15$ in drinks. Housekeeping was great. We felt bad how hard they work so we gave them 3 days off from having to clean our room, just clean towels is all we needed. Satellite tv wasnt greatest kept going in and out every couple minutes. Water pressure was horrible but we were on the 10th floor so not sure if that was the issue. Also i know were in NY and its legal for weed but omg. Every time u get off elevator to go to your room you are hit in the face with it. . Again i will state we would possibly stay here again in future if price comes down but no pool or spa or outdoor space. A major issue was parking . There are so so many people coming and going all the time and the lot is used for everyone so if your staying most likely you'll have to valet your car, which i will say they covered the cost of which was great but when you need to go somewhere quick you cant . Gottta wait for them to shuttle a staff member to get your car which will be about a mile away. We like that it is 18 and no kids. They also gave us free vouchers for 1 coffee per person and it was pretty decent coffee.

Building an extension on the building

Remote wasn’t working. Shower water didn’t run down. Had to go to a different floor to get ice because most ice machines was out of order. Stains on the carpets.

1st of all the bed was comfortable but I was woken up both night at 2am & 2:30am buy a couple arguing in the hallway near my room on the 10th floor. 2 nights being woken and not being able to get back to sleep.i also noticed the bathroom wasn’t cleaning properly. The tub and sink looked like a half ass wipe down.Other than that it was ok. But people have no respect for other who are asleep late at night that’s for sure.

When i got there i was very tired, i took a shower and laid down on one of the double beds. I looked over to see something crawling and it was some kind of bug . I pulled the cover back and saw 2 curly pieces of hair that didnt come from me .i reached out to the hotel and no one has gotten back to me about thia issue

The bathroom was dirty.

The front desk reception was unprofessional. The carpet was filthy. The room was over all gross. Disappointing. You should have standards for hotels you sell to your customers.

Check-in staff is wonderful and polite. Room is clean.

The rug was dirty in the bedroom. Still a great place to stay.

Clean room and modern amenities. The staff war very pleasant. The lady who checked me in Nilha I think and was very delightful. Me and my buddy had dinner at Bistro 58, great portions, vegetarian options and friendly bar staff. I would definitely recommend this place and will revisit it again.

We had an excellent stay at your hotel. The rooms and the hallways were clean and the entire staff was friendly and professional.

Outdated room but comfortable, Parking was Difficult to find after roaming the parking lot for 20 minutes. Front desk was professional courteous and attentive while checking in. Convenient access to the Casino. Lots of slots, a couple of electronic card game tables. Shady Atmosphere at the casino. Serious in need of updating the parking lot and the whole hotel.

Rooms are very out dated and in need of upgrades. $325 for one night is ridiculous. Parking is difficult to find a space. Bathroom lighting is not great. Casino was very crowded.

Nice comfortable environment. Rooms could be better, but that will change with renovations. Small issue is hearing music from the casino in the room until 4a.m.Then again at 8a.m.

Stayed for 2 nights as a little staycation. It was convenient to have a bar/restaurant and casino games. The bed was very firm which I’m sure some would like. The main problem with our stay is the walls are super thin. So we could hear ever conversation in the wall way, every door slamming shut and shaking the building and the guy upstairs peeing in the toilet. So we got barely any sleep. I asked the front desk if there was a quieter area and she said we were in it.

Good rates, and free valet parking were pluses but the security checks (due to the Casino) was tedious. Photo id, facial recognition, and drivers license scanned twice! Room was spacious and clean, but nothing special. No coffeemaker in the room, we were given a coupon for free coffee at the lobby vendor. 😕

The room was clean and i never waited more than 2 minutes for the elevators. The staff was friendly and the property definitely took security seriously. However, the rooms were a little bit outdated, definitely in need of a renovation. And if you have a room with a window facing the atrium, definitely bring ear plugs because those rooms are loud. But other than that this is a good hotel at a reasonable price.

The rooms were clean the tub was not so clean , I complained about the bed to staff Andrew , Tallis, and the manager Darwin . The beds were memory foam beds I couldn't sleep well the beds were to hard , Andrew checked to see if all the beds in the hotel were the same and he confirmed they were all memory foam beds , so they could not accommodate me with another room with better beds . I was told your redoing the hotel please keep in mind not everyone can sleep on a hard memory foam mattress, I had two back surgeries and I was uncomfortable both nights . But Andrew and Darwin were very helpful . Also it would be nice if housekeeping spoke English , we were asking for things we needed for our stay and they had no idea what we were requesting it was a little aggravating . Overall I would come back and I would also refer your hotel to family and friends

The hotel was conveniently located near where we needed to be. It’s currently undergoing an expansion, which promises to be amazing once completed. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained.

I was surprised no safe in rooms.

Need to have a microwave in the room.

Staff was rude & unfriendly. Parking was a nightmare. Was forced to use valet after driving around for an hour.

Aileen at the Front desk of Jake's 58 was fabulous. The hotel staff was attentive, courteous and dropped whatever they were doing when a customer approached them. They truly try and please their customers. I will be staying there again soon!!!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Anytime we asked for anything they gave us correct information and were all so pleasant.

Who ever is being contracted to provide security at the entrance needs either replacing, or some serious lessons in manors. We asked where was check-in, and they barked at us that we needed to take the picture.

Staff professionalism

We stayed for one night. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate the restaurant and the prices for food and drinks were very reasonable. The room was very clean. We had a great time and would return again.

We had a very late check in. Sean, the night auditor was fantastic taking care of us.

Close to good restaurants and shopping

I like the location right off the expressway and on Long island. Rooms could be a little nicer.

We stayed at this property because of availability and a good rate and proximately to a funeral that we needed to attend. Obviously, not the most desired location for a funeral visit. The hotel is bustling of casino players as expected. So it’s a little weird walking in at 10 PM on a Friday night, carrying your pillow and overnight things. I was worried about parking because of other reviews, but we stayed three nights over the weekend and never really ran into an issue. The room was clean and housekeeping came each day which is what I was mostly concerned about our room looked Out out over into the casino, which was kind of weird since I told the man at the desk we were staying for a funeral. We don’t really gamble so I would not choose this hotel again unless it were for the same reasons I booked it which were availability proximity to location and price.

Hotel caters to casino crowd. Food in restaurant was decent but ambiance lacking. Need to upgrade restaurant area to a more classy spot. Room was spacious and comfortable except we could not open window for fresh air as we overlooked the casino floor which could be noisy at times. personnel all very nice. convenient location off LIE, would have preferred a nicer lobby and hotel space - no convenience store and parking awful. They are renovating and will revisit when upgrades are completed.

It’s a place to stay especially for us who have family in the area. Nothing fancy but we can sleep and stay the night safe.

We stayed at Jake's so we could visit our granddaughter. Jake's was very convenient to her home.

Easy access to the main highway and local stores.

The room was very clean and spacious. Front desk service was a bit slow but was helpful. It takes very long to be serve at the only restaurant available on the compound.

The room was very nice, and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food service was EXTREMELY limited. NO Breakfast - not even for purchase. Internet unreliable.

The only thing I did not like was the sandwich purchased at Cuppa, it was chicken salad on a croissant with tomato and lettuce, there was more lettuce and tomato than chicken salad, croissant was rubbery.. coffee was good should have a lid on top that the coffee will not spill out., in other words like a little lid .

The bed wasn’t comfortable. We couldn’t make tea in our room. The food was nothing special.

I had ordered boneless wings, they were not boneless wings mire like chicken nuggets. they were fried to long. I would suggest a few sandwiches like roast beef, turkey breast served with a salad or cole slaw, or potato salad. Also your double BLT should not have so much bacon and cooked too well done, I told the waiter to tell them not over cook the bacon, it came backe still cooked well.

The property could use some updating. I see it is being remodeled, but it was still clean. Need more dining options. Need a lot more entertainment, but I still had a good time.
