Motel 6-Tigard, OR - Portland South - Lake Oswego

There was a pool, didn’t use it, the motel 6 across the way doesn’t have that option. The neighbors were being rather loud but eventually quieted down. Wish there were amenities like shampoo, etc. Requested extra towels in the room but that wasn’t an option. Had to collect at front desk. Not bad tho.

Nice pool

Nice clean rooms. The pool was open for a change unlike the two other Motel 6s we stayed in other cities during our trip.

On the positive side the room was clean. There are many food options close bye. On the negative the garbage cans outside the room were full or overflowing. The front office was locked leaving people in a cramped hallway. The pool was not open. The steps on the stairs were cracked.

Room was nice had to wait for the clerk to come back and was told pool closes at 8pm, it was 7:50. but the next morning was told it was supposed to close at 10pm. Very disappointed. My granddaughter was very disappointed and sad.

The room we had was clean when we checked in. Parking was okay just got too crowded because of the trucks came in that night we checked out.

The property was is disrepair and the rooms were very noisy. We could hear every word spoken from the room next to us. Also the pool, which was the whole reason we booked there, was out of order when we arrived.

The room with double bed is as expected in a Motel 6. Beds are not great and a bit small for 2 adults. We wanted to have some rest at the pool after a long sunny day… and the pool was closed ! Don’t also expect to go to Lake Oswego, there is no public space on this lane. We were also in the middle of a road trip so we needed to have access to the guest laundry but it was closed indefinitely. I wish we had known that before booking because the price was not reduced. Also in the room the air conditionning was not ajustable as it was possible in any other Motel 6. In addition, on the parking, there was some strange people staying in cars. Of course no breakfast as usual in Motel 6. The only good point it’s very quiet. Will for sure never come back here.

Front desk staff and maintenance were not helpful whatsoever with the wifi connection issues that didn’t work. They just shrugged their shoulders at me. I politely talked to the front desk staff about it because I was misled to believe I would get wifi that I need to work on my schoolwork and they showed zero empathy and never got back to me. This entire experience has been absolutely terrible! Their laundry facilities are broken, they’re out of blow dryers and they’re “on back order for two weeks” and my neighbors were drugged out shoving furniture around all night. Don’t stay here!

Quiet location and cleanliness was great. I tried to do laundry and I got my things washed but one of the dryers wasn't working and the one that did it wouldn't let me choose the option on the one that was working. It takes card but it kept saying it declined so I needed to get coins from the office. Otherwise our stay was good for a great price.

Strains on bed sheet. Stains on towels. Smell of wet dog. 3 different types of bugs in the room. Shower was weird

This Motel 6 is not the worst I've ever stayed at, but it is pretty close. We stayed from a Saturday to a Friday. I asked for housekeeping and was told it was done only once a week and I had to wait. So we did. We never got service. I was told the following by the front desk person who checked me out, "Oh, sorry but when you check in before Monday and check out by Friday, they don't clean on the Thursday because our owner does not want us to clean the room twice." What? Does anyone know what that actually means? Then she said, "You could ask for housekeeping." Which I did and did not get! Also, the room smelled of cat urine which I mentioned. Here was the response, "Oh yeah, we do allow cats." And you don't do anything about the damage they leave behind apparently. There are people "living" in their cars in the parking lot at this location and no one seems to care. The rooms have no microwaves and no mini-fridges. The communal microwave was tiny and unclean. One positive note was that the bathroom was newly installed. However, the water pressure was terrible. In general I am really tired, as a consumer, of paying ever increasing prices for properties that do the bare minimum, such as this one. You should avoid this establishment if you can.

Clean

The room was dirty with hair in shower and dirt on floor. Room wasn't available untill almost 4 pm although they assured us if we returned at 3, it would be ready. When they told us it was ready they provided keys, but when we got to room door was open and there was a broken t.v. lying on the bed. I could provide a few other issues but why bother...

The linens were dirty. The room smells like cigarettes. To top it off we had a strange person knocking on the outer wall at 3 am.

Excellent check in! Knowledgeable friendly. Room Clean. Great water pressure. AC cooled room quickly. Appreciate dogs are free. Our dogs travel exceptionally well and hate having to pay extra elsewhere. We will stay here again!

This was the smelliest hotel/motel we have ever been in. We have to buy febreze air mist and 409 from nearby Safeway to get rid of the smell. We didn't have a good sleep on our first night. It was not a pleasant night for us as we drove a long way from Ukiah CA to attend a high school reunion. V

Checking in was very easy. The room was not adequate. There were no amenities and I had to pay extra for a refrigerator and microwave. The lights on the wall by the bed by the TV did not work and there was hair in the shower.

We left in tge middle of the night because there were cockroaches in the bed!! Disgusting!!

Exactly what I expected at the price point. The rooms are renovated and look nice, aside from some damage to the furniture. Smelled fine. Bed was alright. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance, and a pool. The women who ran the front were very sweet and helpful. We were looking for a bed for only one night and didn't want anything fancy, and that is exactly what we got. Our only complaint is that the walls were very thin, we could hear the conversation of our neighbor clearly, which made us feel like we had to whisper our entire stay.

No real functioning air conditioning in the unit itself. The tiny little wall mounted thermostat and small ceiling vent were not enough to cool the room on an 80+ degree afternoon. I left after 15 mins of sweating in the room and found another hotel nearby for the same price and had a functioning air conditioner in the room. I want a refund even though they say there are none. I didn’t use the room at all except standing there sweating thinking this has to be a joke.

Good bare bones hotel. Room is small and sparse but clean and bed comfortable. Bathroom was surprisingly nice. If you want somewhere basic to sleep this is a good choice.

no fridge or microwave

Air conditioning was always on and not controllable. Froze overnight because i only had one thin blanket so i had to get dressed in warm clothes to sleep the rest of the night. Flooring needs to be replaced. Bed was comfortable.

Everything was great, except for the WiFi. It did not seem to be connected to internet even though we were connected to it. Also, we had a WiFi password that it never asked for.

The gal that checked me in was awesome! The room itself was good. What I couldn't get over is that it's basically central heating and air conditioning. You have no control over the temperature in your room, and it was way too warm in my room to make sleeping comfortable. My room faced south, so I couldn't imagine being in that room if it was sunny and hot outside. Despite the fact that the room itself was good, I could not stay here again because of the lack of your own ability to control your room temperature.

The A/C was running continuously with no way to adjust the fan speeds. No extra blankets or items available in the room. The internet did not work at all even when trying to connect the rooms TV to the internet. Room TV was the size of my computer screen. Not enough towels and no room service unless we went to the front desk. No toiletries available other than a bar of soap.

Had 5+ customers waiting to check in. At 3pm when check in became available they chose to do shift switch and make everyone wait another 15-20 minutes. It was 90+ degrees outside and front desk didn’t even offer pool for people to stay cool while awaiting check in.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. We definitely recommend this Motel 6.

Professional Staff

Great staff, especially the day manager.

The staff at this property always go above and beyond what is required no matter what the situation may be..

Adrian the front desk associate was very unprofessional. I let Adrian know in advance that I was calling corporate customer service to fill a official complaint all due cause he thinks it’s acceptable and fair for only me just me to wait until at least 4:10pm to check in to a room when I already paid for the hotel room in advance on Expedia. Also I walked in a second time into the lobby to ask if a room was ready and this was past check in time… check it is 3:00pm….. this time Carmen what looks to be the manager cause she was the only one wearing a nametag and Adrian was there and they both wanted to argue that it’s acceptable that I wait past check until at least 4:10pm and possibly even longer for a simple room I paid for. Their excuse was that the situation was acceptable and they been getting lots of business for Spring break and they canceled my reservation also threatened me that I was banned permanently from their property and wasn’t welcomed and that’s going to get them both fired for that cause you can’t ban a customer for filing a complaint to customer service on Adrian originally for treating a customer poorly. Not ok to discriminate towards me, treat me poorly, by not serving your customer for what the customer paid for. There is other managers above you, I would appreciate at less a write up for both of them possibly termination. I’m allowed to check in early at 2:50pm to pay for the accidentals security deposit and give my vehicle info, get a parking pass!

Clean and close to restaurants

Good location near a fun music venue, cool vintage store, and lots of shopping.

Portland area has gotten so unsafe. The police do make their drive thru rounds thru the night, helped me feel better seeing that.

Staff was pleasant, however the area surrounding was a tad unsafe. Catcalled from the bushes at night while walking to get ice in the lobby. The room itself is what you’d expect from a Motel 6. Nothing extraordinary.

It was a motel six. Comfy beds, not a lot of amenities. The room was small, but perfectly adequate for what we needed. No complaints. The parking seemed safe and well-lit, which is important in Portland area.

Very rough part of town

Great location near mall and transit, clean rooms and super helpful and friendly staff. I would recommend this motel 6 to family and friends.

You get what you pay for, but I still feel like this place was expensive for what it is. Easy access to the highway and some decent places for food/coffee nearby are a couple of nice things.

Location! Right off highway, near shopping. GREAT shower and newer bath.

Clean great location

If you need a place to stay on the cheap, thus is it. Shower was hot the 1st day (not 2nd because boiler needed to be lit), bed was soft. Bring your own shampoo. Liked that it had a refrigerator and microwave. A lot of places around the hotel to have a meal. Staff were very nice.

It was cheep and right along I5 with food and gas right around the corner. Room was very clean and service was friendly. No hassle getting checked in and settled. The outside lighting was a bit much but was able to cover the curtains to block it out. All good otherwise!

Nice room with basic amenities. Would have liked to have morning coffee poolside with my book but it didn't open until 2 hours later.

Maritza at the front desk was great! All staff was helpful and friendly. I want to also recognize the lady who takes such good care of pool!! The hot coffee in the lobby was appreciated.
