Don't stay here! The staff at this hotel are completely unethical people. I booked this hotel during a Black Friday sale last year at a rate of $70 night. We come out to Mitchell each year to Pheasant hunt opening week. I typically book ahead to get the best rates. When my group arrived before me they were told our reservation was cancelled. They told my bother that they were extremely busy, but they would find a room for him at a cost of $189/night. When I arrived they told me the same story that the reservation was cancelled. I showed them my hotels.com apps showing that the reservation was still active at the $70 night rate. I asked who canceled the room and they had no answers. They canceled the room, because they didn't want to honor the rate it was booked at during the sale. The staff at Hotels.com did a good job talking to the owner, but he still wouldn't honor the sales price even though he had plenty of rooms available. Hotels.com honored my price at a much better hotel. I truly appreciate their integrity, when the owner of this hotel was completely dishonest.

One thing that all motels/hotels shouldnhave in common is that they are clean, regardless of price. This property gets a 0 for cleanliness. The toilet had not been cleaned, there were, shall we say, remnants in the bowl, and splatters on the seat and lid. The countertops in the room had not been wiped down. The floor hadnt been mopped any time recently and the walls were just dingy and dirty with many dirty hands being on them. The lobby area at check in had some smaller size cockroaches on it. The mirror in the room was on the floor. The towel rack in the bathroom had been ripped off the wall and was just sitting on the sink. The chairs in the room were dirty and stained.

Bathroom had an off smell, not high but not great. Bed had a slight lean, again not bad but irritating. I got what I paid for, but will be paying a little more the next time I swing through Mitchell.
